I just dont know where to put this...

Warning! Link goes to UK Resistance

Kuta has got his little film all drawn up and everything. I mean it does look like some flash artist has taken pity on him, but oh well...

Yes, though we all know his story and such, I'll still occasionally find him boasting about his film on the random message board, where the unsuspecting forumers will still be in "we believe your every word" mode.

The opening scenes, which are quite awesome, shocked me. Holy crap, it actually looks good? Then the generic animated scared furry showed up, with a Sonic that looks like it came from newgrounds, and reassured me of the expected cheesiness.

It's like the song that never ends and the song is as annoying and irritating as Soulja Boy Tell Em.

And "He Did It" did what? make a fan trailer? Well good for him, other than that sane old - same old.

yuku deleted what I wrote

He did it indeed... managed to make me nauseous from laughing some.

blah blah forgot what I wrote but it was something along the lines of the artists needing to practice drawing before they decide to make a trailer. I have no hopes for this and it's dripping with cheesyness.

A few of the scenes seem to be ripped off Sonic CD...

I can't wait to see what happens when dialogue/voices are added.

It'll be a laugh to say the least.

I didn't care enough to watch it, but reading the comments gave me a laugh...

Watch, Kuta does all the voices.

That's going on over at SMS, for the most part at least. The thread someone PHD'd recently about organising a mass call-in to SEGA of Japan, surprisingly, wasn't something Kuta started - rather it was started by one of the aforementioned forumers.

Amazingly enough it seems Kuta's just trying to do it as a fan project rather than get it approved officially. Yeah I know, shocked me as well.

That said I don't hold even the slightest bit of hope that the finished thing will be any good.

'Dark haircut', 'acrid ark hut', 'had air truck', 'hack air turd', 'a rack I'd hurt' and 'a car kid hurt' are all anagrams of 'Richard Kuta'. I just thought all of you should know this.

I enjoyed reading the ED article that someone in the comments linked to.

And wow, he still has fanbrats defending him.

It appears our good friend Greg the Cat got a little sassy in the comments page.
"You people sure are a bunch undeserving asses, you know that? Seriously! This guy is much a fan of the franchise as YOU are, and why would we dare let anyone who's not go and jack it up? Seriously? This guy is no Uwe Boll. He has experience with the franchise. Why do you insist on bashing one of your own community members?
You people make me sick."
What's his experience with the franchise, other than playing the games?

Making a fool of himself countless times in the fan community, is one thing. Reading the ED article is mind boggling, to say the least. o.o

I thought that maybe shifting this cartoon dream into a fan comic might have been a more wiser decision in the long run. But I can see that from past events, he just might not be fit to run anything long enough before it blows up eternally.

I've seen some of the "movie cancelled" raging monologues, and I think our friends in charge have to understand that the fanbase does not "deserve" a SatAM movie/revival because it does not WANT one.

Once again the internet has provided a relatively small group of people to crowd around one another and use their like opinions to dellude themselves into thinking they are a majority. Afterall, a forum with 2,000 people who are DEDICTAED to SatAM means Sonic fans love SatAM by default.

Surely!

---Whereas the mainstream appeal among the fandom ranges from oblivious, apathetic and of course my personal favorite detestation.

I do not think SatAM doesn't have a fanbase. I don't even think that it has a small one, I'm sure the fanbase is moderately large, for an obscure cartoon spinoff from the 90's which the target demographic is too young to remember.

But the number of people who want there to be a cinematic feature film of said nostalgic show? I'm guessing that peaks at about 10,000 people... and that's being generous.

Thusly, to those who rage on the internet. It is not that we do not deserve it. It is that we do not WANT it.

It'd be like me getting upset that no one wanted me to helm a Tingle anime on YouTube. No one would give a crap if I succeeded, why would they care if I failed?

What heartens me is that nobody at ED seems aware that Rich existed before he popped up at FUS - completely ignoring the fact that he'd been playing the exact same set of games at SHQ for years, and only moved to FUS full-time when we finally got sick of banning him for posting downloads and all the other stuff, refused his demands to make him an Admin (which he seemed to think that he deserved for purely longevity reasons - Red'll vouch for this) for the umpteenth time, and banned him and his dozen or so resulting alts. The "adult baby" fetishism wasn't exactly a secret, since he'd publicly announced his decision to become one here on the MF and bragged every time he got a piece of equipment.

At least SHQ seemingly had enough class not to go quite down to ED's level.

the less attention we get from a site like that, the better.

i've love a game-based sonic movie or even a fan movie. i've seen the effects sega can pull off in the in-game cut scenes, but they'd have to get a decent writer.
but kuta is going all the wrong way about it.

Really we should start taking bets as to how long it'll be before he pops up again with the same old rubbish. What really boggles my mind is the fact that he's still kept going with this after essentially a decade's worth of ridicule. Most smart people would have either given up by now or just gone about it quietly.

The only thing more shocking thing is that people are still willing to believe him. Including those that've been deceived by him before. aka pretty much everyone bar a select few on SMS, from what I've seen. Lolz.

Also as far as I saw he decided to cancel and quit the fandom again (hurr) because of trolling. Still, it did provide us with this epic quote: "Now explain to me who the **** crank called me YESTERDAY in a threatening Pickachu voice?"

Goodnight sweet prince and all that.

Official SEGA movie = not sure if want

Archie movie = do not want

SatAM movie = do not want under any circumstances

SEGA got Sonic X voice actors after a TV show was released. Turning the games into SatAM to copy the movie would just be the end of the franchise.

Is it ok to mention here that CWC got Sonichu Copyrighted? I didn't think he could do that.

And yeah. I don't want to hear Griffith as SatAM Sonic. Evar!

"im the only one that doesnt have some type of mental disorder like autism which sadly most Sonic fans have"

Well! Good to know you're not out there making people like me look bad, Sonmanic.

Quite honestly, I remember when he kept spamming the forum with 'interviews' and 'updates' on his movie, thinking he could make it official (and yeah, Sam, I remember his ranting about how he should be a mod because of how long he'd been in the fandom, because he did it in one of the Knothole topics). It got kind of annoying after awhile and I wasn't sad to see him go.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of SatAM, wouldn't have minded a third season, but when this is the response from SEGA in regards to your aspirations and you are still trying to pitch it to movie studios?

Maybe I'm not the crazy one in this equation. :/

Rich Kuta is obviously not autistic because autistics are usually smart.

Oh, and BTW as a diagnosed and proud autistic &^%$ you Rich Kuta.

My experience of working with people diagnosed with autism tends to show that only a small proportion of them are as you would put it "smart," because you have to remember that (though you probably already know this) that autistic spectrum disorder is that a wide ranged spectrum with only a few high functioning/gifted.

What he said (again, speaking from experience). Idiots savant get lauded precisely because they're unusual - and of the rest of the high IQ range, being inhibited when it comes to communicating can render it moot, anyway. High IQ/high functioning aren't necessarily synonymous.

Huh. I know that there is a wide spectrum, but I certainly did not hear that high functioning/high IQ/gifted was considered rare.

That may be in some way related to varying diagnosis rates. I was only diagnosed recently, when I went to a doctor for something else, while people who are not high functioning would be more likely to seek diagnosis.
