i'm surprised you didn't figure out what the star wars conspiracy theory is, it's very clear ... moon + star wars = THE DEATHSTAR
the moon is the deathstar, under the moons crust are machines that run a plant destroying lazer beam and engines that brought the moon from far off space to earth's orbit.. and the craters on the moon are bomb blasts from the invasian attacks left by the war.

That is NONSENSE!!!!! Our Moon is NOT the Death Star - Iapetus is! The equatorial ridge of Iapetus strongly resembles a similar feature found on the Death Star.

HAHAH! True that man, true that. We were talking about this in my Astronomy class.

Yea basically...well I suppose it'll be the moon's water vapor, considering we're going to perform electrolysis and extract water vapor...and then in some instances seperate the hydrogen from the oxygen, for breathable air and whatnot. Pretty crazy stuff they're planning.

<blinks> so are you saying you believe the moon is unnatural? probably even made by humans/humanoids?

Not personally and there is evidence to the contrary, but, as I said, people will believe anything.

xD! Feck is on wikipedia. That's awesome! And yes...you heard/read correctly Rishi. NASA is working on ways of extracting breathable O_2 from the moon's inner surface. Lunar bases here we come! Give or take...another 40 years.

Lunar bases or are they even hoping for terraforming the moon?

yeah wikipedia is totally hip dude, my friend who's a twilight fan wrote me a message saying OME so i went to wikipedia to research it and turns out it's twilight Edward fans way of saying oh my god OMG into oh my Edward OME.....

okay back to topic, i also read that they were ganna extract oxgen out of mars's soil...... so yeah NASA wants to invade space alright.

although i don't see the purpose of terraforming the moon, if it was mars okay let's go there, it's a big enough planet. but the moon isn't big enough and it's gravity is problematic... so i think it's more of constructing domes for miners to live in while they mine the moon for water and also .............. the super energy H3

I can't remember exactly, Ray. Terraforming would be quite the undertaking. And wow...did you really post OME, sonicsfan? Why...why do you torment us? xP

But the moon isn't all that small...I mean it could hold a billion people easy[assuming the entire body was terraformed]. As for Mars...it's so dang far away...I mean if we wanted to make it a permanent habitat...it would have to be centuries in the future. Unless of course we discover Mars has like ultra fertile soil and an abundance of vegetable seeds lying around. =P Oh...and useable water might be helpful. So yea...i'm thinking more or less...constructing domes, like you were implying sonicsfan.

Or we find that an ancient alien race had a special outpost there and use the technologies to have a masive jump in progress!

huh? does it spark a past memory?

and well the theory of getting water out of mars's soil comes from the fact mars has a high amount of metal in its soil...... <metal is a mystereous substance btw, you could say it's alien>
anyway, if you break it down you could in theory make water.... but that's a questionable theory since we don't have the technology to test it... like you said rayzor we need the aliens help on this one or the technologically advance ancients.

Heh, heh, no I wonder if anyone will get what I'm referencing? I know some will on the whole MoFo, but maybe not someone in this thread.
