(Not for the weak of heart)
Its beautiful. I mean its gotta be real. Its got 7 of 9 in it!
Can this be moved if it turns out to be a game? plzkthnx
Today there was some mystery brewing about a short film that debuted on YouTube yesterday titled Mortal Kombat: Rebirth.
The 8 minute long video looks well done (and possibly made with at
least some budget), but there is very little info given about who made
it and why. There are no credits, but Devin at CHUD
figured it out. It’s some kind of demo reel/proof of concept for
investors for a new Mortal Kombat movie. With the previous MK attempts
falling flat, “gritty realism†seems to be the selling point this time
around. It’s still unclear whether thus is meant directly for investors or
simply to show them the appeal of the material, since views and
comments on YouTube are a good indicator of how the potential audience
would receive the movie. What do you think of it? Would you want to see
a full length Mortal Kombat movie that was in this style?
So it is a movie, but for what exactly is still not known.
Also. Does EVERYBODY hate Johnny Cage?
Yeah. Apparently. Even Midway killed off Johnny Cage.
I was like NO, JOHNNY CAGE, NO!!! You're so useless yet SO AWESOME at the same time!!!
oh awsome they put baraka in there, i was laughing at his story, that is a very clever way to explain why he looks so freaky if he was in our world.
Apparently it was a short film to try to sell the studio on a reboot.
It's so good that NO STUDIO would take it! :/
I love it! I want this now!
Its the truth. Its TOO good. I really approve if they allowed a reboot of the movies. Even though I loved the first movie (top 5 of best VG movies ever made. Live action, that is) the second movie...hoo man don't get me started...
MK needs this. Between that and the MK trailer released what, yesterday, yes. I hope E3 this year is awesomessauce.
ew i cant belive you liked the first movie, it was something you wanted to block out of your memory, if i had to try and find some good in it i'd say only the theme song is cool. as for the second movie, i dont know how it ends after the scene with jacks i couldn't watch it. and i'm not curious about it either.
i just dont get how they can mess it up, mortal kombat the game uses live actors, so why is it so hard to make a movie for it?
and why cant they stick to the cool outfits, at least in the first movie subzero looked nice. but why wasnt kitana wearing her outfit... i really liked her ninja outfit i was so disappointed how she turned out. the actress is nice its just her clothes i got a problem with.
We all say "no studio would touch it", but don't forget that Sin City was made because Rodriguez made a short little "fan film" which turned out to be the opening scene to the film. There's a world of difference between a fully fledged director doing this and an unknown group, but if the quality speaks loud enough, there will always be hope.
Or maybe they can take the Mega Man Powered Up route and make the thing out of their own pocket.
mega man has a movie?
although your words are reassuring, i really hope a good director makes it.
Mega Man has a 72 minute FAN movie, yes. Google up Mega Man Get Equipped (got my names mixed up, my apologies) which was fairly decent, all things considered. Required far less Dr. Light in my opinion, but it was okay.
oh ty ty ty i saw it but if they do make a mega man movie for real, i have to insist megaman be a kid.

Also: Saw.
The MK movie was good, less so the sequel. This just looks so bizarre and weird and Realistic Batman it might just work. If it ever sees the light of day.
