**** is officially going down. I think it's better than a lockout but I wish a deal could have been done
For those not into football (the american version, for you euros/aussies out there), the cba between the owners and players union ended and basically the owners want more money (an extra 1 billion from the players, to be precise) and more games played (Increasing the amount of regular season games from 16 to 18, which effectively increases the likelihood of serious injury especially late in the year when EVERYONE is exhausted and the actual play of the game gets sloppier as the year goes on) while the players aren't up for that. So basically the two sides have come to this, allowing the union to decertify, letting them sue the NFL for all kinds of anti-trust lawsuits.
It's gonna be an interesting off-season, that's for sure.
