Today is a very special day, people. A number of special occurrences fall on today's date, the 23rd of September.
Perhaps of greatest note to us as a Sonic Fan Community is that on this day, 14 years ago, a game was released on the Mega CD in Japan that would introduce us to Metal Sonic and Amy Rose.
In addition, today marks the 118th birthday of Nintendo Koppai (nowadays known as Nintendo Company). Back then, they made card games!
In 1952, Rocky Marciano became the new World Heavyweight Champ.
Of note to the more geeky out there, in 2002 the first ever public version of Mozilla Firefox was released.
...But as quite a few folk will already know, and as some of you have already guessed, none of those are the real reason for me making this thread.
Because on this day, in 1984 at a fairly modern (for the time) hospital in York, England... a boy was born who would one day grow up to become a games freak, a Sonic fan and a Staff member of one of the largest online Sonic fan communities out there.
Today marks my 23rd year of life. ^^
