I'm kind of indifferent toward the news.
I have been informed that /b/ is having an awesome AMERICA!!! party. Speaking of which. Someone post the I LOVE AMERICAN PARTY image, right the heck now!
Good.
took long enough... I would have preferred capture, but you take what you can get
bracing for inevitable terrorist "1000-fold" backlash
EDIT: surreal... instant mob gathered in front of the white house and cheerin
Last 15 minutes of The Apprentice got covered up. My initial feelings are locked in.
"We must and we will remain vigilant." - President Obama
It's important to keep in mind that even though bin Laden was the leader, his death doesn't end the conflict. Still though, an applause-worthy milestone.
Guess this puts the "he died of kidney failure years ago" rumours to rest, huh?
(On a sidenote, it feels so weird to be discussing a subject like this with something gentle like "chibi Sonic" in the background.
So I felt like celebrating myself by listening to GUILE THEME, and was happy to see the YouTube comments FULL of Bin Ladin posts. Seems the internet knows the TRUE theme of this great country.
Looked up Guile's theme goes with everything. Looking at the clips of the speech that people put the theme on... it made me care more about the significance. I dunno if that's a good or bad thing (that a theme song could make me care more). D:
Osama shouldn't have written his real address on his PSN account.
I see what you did there.
=D
I had to play the Team America theme song =D

I know what you mean. I noticed a similar effect in '08 when I set some Ocarina of Time music to parts of US election related speeches. (Not sure if I mentioned that at the time.) Music simply helps the mood along, even if it comes from a separate source.

Oh, and Vec, I saw Youtube comments to that effect too. It most certainly is odd timing. o.o
OoT music is one thing
BUT THIS IS GUILE'S THEME
IT DOESN'T GET ANYMORE MANLY AMERICAN THAN THIS

Same. Killing him acheives nothing, he'll just be seen as a matyr by his peers. He also has had very little to do with any actual plot making lately, what with all the hiding. He was just a figurehead.
Eh I dunno.
team america was on the case!
i'd be more happy if it was the afgani people who killed him in an all out riot like in other countries now that would mean they dont want to follow his hate and criminal ways and ready to join the civilized world, to just see him get all that hate would've been awsome. but yeah thank god he's dead his death will bring some comfort for the many many lives ruined by his existance. and hopefully an end to all the evil he created.
thank you america! keep the world safe!
p.s: this is not just about him being a terrorist, there's also the sick teachings he brought to afghanistan and pakistan and how he treats women like whores. there's a million evil things that monster did that messed up everyone's lives in everywhere in the world. i just cant believe how much damage one person did. but the good thing this proves america wont give up till it catches its wanted criminals, so that might bring fear to other terrorists.
so yeah this is good news. and hopefully a start for peace.

It's easy to be seen as a martyr when you're hiding in caves. Less so when you're hiding in a Scarface compound in a suburb.
Anywho, **** Osama Bin Laden. Few people in this world deserve truly grisly ends, and he's one of them.
My joyface is on permanently today. Great news.
