the Air Force had a recruitment drive fair thing at my school today, and I had a few pictures taken of me with my favourite activity - namely, playing with guns. =3
SX plays with an M4. Before anyone mentions it, yes, I'm aware the scope is covered.
I was pretty surprised they let the students handle the four weapons they had on display, but of course I didn't let that oppertunity go to waste!
I love this photo. Perfectly down the barrel (the back of the launcher was open at the top because, obviously, there wasn't any rocket inside, so it looks like it's glowing. Half because of the light and half because my camera phone sucks.) with the little C-130 mockup in the background.
I like this shot, even with the distortion crap over the handle, better than the heavier machine gun's photo. I don't like this second shot (of the same gun), but it does show the gun a little better (and my neck!), so I figured I'd post it. This pic was actually a mistake, the guy I'd asked to take the photo pressed the camera button by accident (I'd asked him to take a photo from the front, the photo posted before this.)

This gun was heavier than I expected, but I like the feeling of such a big gun at my hip (Ego boost: So did a few women around me!)
One of the displays involved two people in huge inflatable suits. I thought this image (of a guy that was with me) was pretty funny, so I took this when he was holding the M4 (notice the rifle butt in the lower left corner?) for his sake. The guy in the male suit (they were both pretty much goofing off, it was hilarious) randomly came up and hugged him, and that was the pose I got the shot in.
I don't know who this guy is, but I liked the image straight down the M249's barrel. It was a shot I took on a whim, I didn't even try to aim the shot, I just held my camera down by the SAW and snapped this. I liked it, so I kept it.
The whole thing was pretty nice, and if I'd had a halfway decent camera, I'd have taken some shots of the Blackhawk that flew in and landed (and some in the cockpit!), or the Air Force's honor guard and drill team demonstration.
Anyway, I don't have many pics of me floating around, so I decided to post some of these.
