Someone got a lucky shot of me and my cat Dusty:
Also, fun with mirrors!
Also...ever wonder what's on the other side?
"Hee~eey."
I got a haircut.

I'M A NEW MAAAAN~
Time to bump this thread.
2nd one in from the left. My buddies and I at the new Target Field. The place is freaking beautiful. I'll miss the Dome and the guaranteed 70*, never rained out games, but the new stadium is pretty nice. Pic of the field before the game started. Also the home town legend himself, the $184-million-over-8-years-man, Joe Mauer. Lol, I actually didn't expect my camera to be able to get pictures this clear . We were all the way in the grand stand, almost directly in front of home-plate... Awesome game... Twins won 6-0
Also, although not a picture of me myself, here's a pic of the Whirlpool galaxy me and some others took with my University's telescope... 5 minute exposure. Not bad considering the observatory is located on top of a parking ramp in the middle of a large metropolitan area.
Me and my fuzzbucket.
fuzzbucket
you're both fuzzy :3
fuzzbucket
you're both fuzzy :3
Hush now. =P
Well, here's my new Cosplay threads, the Thief from FF9...Zidane Tribal!
@ Ultra and Geyser: D'AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEeee kitties! =3
@ Springheart: neato on the outfit, but the blue looks like it should be a TAD lighter, and well, can't say much on the hair as the hair is always the hardest freakin' part to get right about cosplaying. You need to get some of that super fashion gel stuff and work that thing!
Are we doing cosplay pics now??
I'm pretty sure you're just showing off now. =P
True dat, I'm a nosy bastid sometimes.
Are we doing cosplay pics now??
Be still my heart. o.o
Might as well post mine. I was the Nostalgia Critic!
Well, here's my new Cosplay threads, the Thief from FF9...Zidane Tribal!
I look like an idiot, but that's kinda the point with cosplay.
I love you. Nobody gives a crap about FF9, so you earn my special card of the day.
Er, I have no new photos of myself. Except my cosplay at Katsucon last year and you can't see me that well. My face is blue.
Well show us the cosplay, silly!
I'm a total 9 lover, 100% - No Squall nor Cloud will ever impress me the same way that cheeky tailed thief with a tail did. <3~
Damn...now I'm sad - that game is so underrated. ;.; ~Sniffles~
Are we doing cosplay pics now??
What's that supposed to be a costume of?
I am so impressed with the cosplay pics. Springheart you look just like good ole Zidane, and Ultra I have so much praise for you. Shoe, you just look dang adorable!
I should dig up a cosplay pic of my own to pimp myself.
Thanks, Craigypoo<3
I'm impressed that there are so many 9 fans here!! It was always my favorite, and all my life (since it got released, anyway) I wondered why no one paid it any attention. I don't get it. The only reason I can find is that it was released on a dying console. Maybe that's also why 12 kinda fell flat.
Super glad to see a Zidane cosplayer here<3
Matthayter:
A supervillain by profession, The Monarch, from the American TV show The Venture Brothers. I made a female version. =3 I have a thing for villains with personality... I still have a big crush on Eggman.
A female cosplayer dressing as a male character? Heh, that's a little weird. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing though. I don't know much about cosplaying in general, though, let alone how common the sort of cosplaying-as-another-gender thing is...
A female cosplayer dressing as a male character? Heh, that's a little weird.
In the cosplay community, this is actually the preferred and better way of pulling off many male anime characters. Within the cosplay community, the best among us are USUALLY female for their ability to pull off bishie style male characters as well as females. One friend who helps out with the Lunar cosplay scene, Miri, is the best Quatre (from G Wing) cosplayer I have ever seen and though the character is male, the lady is most certainly a lady.
Male to female is also not uncommon, though there's a little nudge room in that particular segment of the community. Some M-t-F Crossplay emphasise humor above all else and usually require brain bleach afterwards (Sailor Bubba and Man Faye) and then you have those who actually want to pull off their character as accurately as they can. I wont lie, if I had a less deep voice and a less male like face, I would be crossplaying Lina Inverse every other convention. I admire anyone who can pull it off, as it takes great skill

... and courage. "Guys dressing like girls" is often associated with homosexuality (some gays look down on it as well, as I've seen on other forums) even though the supposed logic from "dressing as a girl" to "attracted to the same sex" is flawed if not disjointed in several ways. So it's probably a good thing that even straight guys are willing to stand up to that kind of conclusion-jumping nonsense...
Cosplay is a completely different scene though, for the most part it's an accepted part of our community. It'd be like judging people dressing as anime characters in every day social situations. At a convention, crossplay is just the norm. It still requires courage, but it's the same amount of courage as being naked at a nude beach, it may not be the social norm everywhere, but in the situation it's accepted and no one will bat an eyelid.
Matthayter,
Teehee X3 I also did a female Eggman, if you'll look to the left of my post here.
Backing up Craig, because debating about crossplay is as needless as debating about attending a school dance with a group of friends instead of a date.
I saw a 100% male Haruhara Haruko (FLCL) and he was the spitting image of her, since he had the thin no-curve Japanese frame. One of the coolest cosplays I've seen.
Also bought from a male dealer in a big white gothic lolita foofy gown. He was a regular, upstanding fellow. I didn't bat an eye and neither did he. Totally normal transaction. XD
Well show us the cosplay, silly!
Alright, you asked for it. Don't be deceived, I am a chick. I also found a pic of me without the stupid costume (which I forgot I had) on the right, but yeah, I am a complete jerk and had half my face covered.
Why hello there Shoe of All Cosmos. ^_^ Awesome Zidane btw, mobius.
And Neo...are you finally showing yourself. Sorta? v_v Awesome nonetheless.
P.S. Yea...total jerk, Yi.
Just had my first recital. I started dancing a year ago and now I'm part of the Bedouin Star Belly Dance Troupe.
Warning for huge pics XD
We opened the night with Kahiko style Hula. We're supposed to be doing Amis in our Pa'u. The actual video of the dance looks more impressive
We next performed Warda, the song goes form melancholic to joyful. We got to wear awesome Belledi dresses.
Cane choreography and nobody dropped their canes after all the twirling and balancing them I loved this dance!
Tribal Improv, meaning we know the moves but not what the dance looks like. We do a "follow-the-leader" type of dance. Here's me and Angela, my dance partner improvising a duet.
Hanging out during our rehearsal on Friday night. I made my pretty Ghawazee Coat, the skirts, the bra. I was also dead tired!
Hey my sister did belly dance too! Til it practically destroyed her back anyway.
You MADE your outfit there??

That's cool she did. How did it destroy her back, bad posture? My teacher (she's wearing black in the pics) always makes sure we have good posture and are doing the moves right so we don't hurt ourselves.
You MADE your outfit there??
Yups I made both outfits: the 2 skirts, open harem pants, dress, coat, head rag, shirt and both bras. Took forever
I see McGuyer has a sister. You look lovely in those shots...I can't imagine how much work that entails...yikes.

Mwhehehehehe. That's right, my fave is covered/partially covered. I admit half the reason is because of panic over releasing a public image online, the other half being...well, I kinda like to keep a somewhat mysterious tone to myself.

Curse you Yi!!! *shakes fist* But Hidoi, whoa! I think i've seen some of these on facebook, never realized why you made them though. Belly Dancing is awesome. At Kami-Con there was this belly dancer lady...she rocked. But I need you to sew me up some Bang Shishigami garb. Pwease. *puppy dog eyes*
I think her back must have already had some kind of weakness to it, because the bellydancing aggrovated it enough to start giving her some real severe pain. I'm no expert at dance so it could well be bad posture, I don't know.
She enjoyed it though. Won't quit til her physiotherapist practically forced her to.
I was considering posting some pictures of myself here, (mainly to show what I look like IRL; don't have any particular ideas for picture themes though) but am not quite sure if the pictures would be contained to this site. How can I trust that they would be?
It sure isn't me, but it's adorable all the same;
My best pal, Reggie, playing Skate 3, no less...
That is adorable.
Go online and play a game with a headset on his ears, he'll never want to touch that thing again. X3

Haha, he's considered it, but he's more of an offline gamer... doesn't want to embarrass anyone on the leaderboards. =P
I've always liked that picture, but what gets me is how bored he looks, haha. Tho, I can't believe I posted a picture of my Detroit Lions 360 controller...
Kitty and I had a photoshoot outside our apartment to commemorate the completion of my Yuki cosplay. His portraits are getting so much better 😀
~Shadowednavi
Good Yuki face!
Who's that devilishly handsome fellow with the sunglasses there? :3 Hint: { Not Horatio Caine, that's for sure! }
The Obligitory Hallway 'I'm Watching you!' pose is go! 😛
Wow, look how much I have changed over these last few years.
This is me during Christmas of 07. I had just started to
grow my hair out a few months before.
LOL! I had forgotten about this picture… Huh, this happens
to be the first picture of me to ever be posted on the internet. For whatever
reason, I decided to make a face at the camera.
And then there was this during Easter of 08. I forget what
it was but mom said something really disgusting to me and dad happened to catch
my expression on camera. You can see that my hair had grown some more since
Christmas.
Here is just before Christmas 09. I was at my Nephew’s
house, (he is the one with the PS2 controller in his hand). We were playing a
Tony Hawk game I think….
Then on Christmas 09, this is when I got my NES controller
belt. I love that belt!
LOL! This was just before my High School
Graduation in May of 09. This is the longest I let my hair grow out before I
got it cut for the first time in two years. I am wearing my custom made Dodge
Ball team shirt for the Senior Dodge Ball tournament.
Then this is now. These were taken a couple of weekends ago.
They grow up so fast. *sniff*
But, you know, this should have been posted in the Photoexchange thread.
You saw nothing.
I believe that I have enough information to begin stalking you now... j/k
Oh, sorry. I didn't know about this thread.
Tricia and I win Halloween. You can all go back to what you were doing.
zOmg hax @ second Junpei
I'm considering actually uploading some soon (depending on whether I decide I can trust this site to keep it restricted to this site, etc.) so I'm going to try this question again: If people on this site were to guess as to what I looked like, what would they guess?
Humanoid male
I would suspect you'd look like Matt Hayter 700 would look. Or you're a robot, whichever one is more truthful.
... yeah, that is not very specific. o.o
Alternate question: If I were to, let's say, a few years ago, ask what you would guess I would have looked like, what would you guess?
