Rainmaker Animation, formerly Mainframe Entertainment, to reboot franchise.
So it's not a conclusion to the cliffhanger they left us with years back, but a re-imagining of the show in theatrical format. I suppose that's the way it has to be, as a lot has changed since then (in b4 R.I.P. Tony Jay).
The whole fan-input thing has me puzzled, though. Could be good... could be VERY BAD.
EDIT:
'allo, wots this?
Well, that certainly is very interesting.
Though, I wonder how on-line fans will try to work internet memes into this one.
Such an ingenious show, good to see it returning[in whatever form it is in now].
.....
Wait. Let me get this straight. Transformers was re-done for a new generation, and actually came out looking good, and now ReBoot is getting rebooted, while still looking good?
The Gods of childhood memories have been kind to me.
Online social networks are the big buzzwords among people with money these days and a quick way to get them to untie their purse-strings and spill forth funding.
I dunno. Reboot is one of those many things that I watched when I was younger and revisited when I was older and was mainly dissappointed. I'm not even talking about the way it looked, it's just on second look the entire concept seemed goofy and contrived.
*shrug* Maybe this'l be good. I'll try anything once.
Oh God, why does that concept art not exactly fill me with hope?
Hey, it can't be as bad as "Liono and the Thunder-pussycats" or "Alvin and the Rapmunks"
Oooo... Kitty intrigued. Kitty misses his ReBoot... lemme sees!
Actually, that concept art is incredibly confusing, as each panel seems to be done in a different style. Methinks maybe those are the different pitches Rainmaker solicited from Zeroes 2 Heroes and not necessarily anything to do with what the finished product will look like.
Just a guess.
I'm getting an Animatrix vibe from the picture, in terms of concept. Different cartoons, different styles, etc.
Quote:
Five undiscovered writers chosen by Rainmaker were selected to work with the animation studio's production teams to prepare a pitch for the new "ReBoot" story line.
Basically what that piece of art depicts are the "pitches" for a new show from each writer's perspective. From these, fan input will be used to determine which one will get to be the new ReBoot.
Or something.
EDIT: Whoops! Srol already covered that base. Well now, this is awkward. Wait, I know! **strikes a pose, then proceeds to breakdance to an auspiciously-placed cover song**
