On top of the snow storms about to pass through the Midwest, apparently there's potential for snow to reach as far south as the Florida panhandle and Houston by the end of the week.

Snow is going to ruin Tricia and I's moving date. We have all our stuff packed and ready to go and then the weatherman decided to throw a blizzard attack on the planet and it critical hitted.

Dang it all the heck. We have to stop the weatherman.

Urg, no! We just got over the last cold snap down here in Mississippi. Our yard's practically a swamp from all the rain we've been getting. Cold weather and snow will just make it an icy swamp.

We don't need anymore precipitation.

He obviously ingested an X Accuracy.

I love snow... I had better since I live in Minnesota...

That said, **** you snow. I'm supposed to be in Wisconsin tonight, so I can attend my buddy's funeral =(... Crappy roads, coupled with blowing snow and winter advisories have left me stranded here =|

Snow snow snow snowity snow!

I think it looks pretty, especially when we get snow drifts that are a few feet high. I just hate driving in all the slush and then all the idiots pretending to drive in the snow-covered roads! Then the plows and snow combo create huge craters and potholes... My poor car will need an alignment and tire rotation soon. I shoveled my balcony only to have it covered in snow again again.

Still, I love staring at snow falling and love running in it. What I absolutely hate is how cold it gets once it stops snowing. It's 7 degrees outside and that's without the windchill... Blah, flipflop season better hurry up!

I love snow and I would want the -12 celicius, get lost in snowdrifts, people stranded in pubs weather of early january to come back.

Except that people were panic buying everything and staff couldn't get in. I was very, very tired that week.

What is annoying is people who can't drive in the snow, in places where snow happens all the time in winter! What gives?! Snow on road, people still drive over the speed limit or they drive 1 mph as if the slightest change in direction will cause them screaming into the curb or into oncoming traffic. Stinkin' SUV's.

That church's sign is hilarious.

They should have fricken canceled class. And I have to go back in a few hours.

People don't know how to drive in this weather. There was a bus crash, people tailing me, cars sliding through red lights and stop signs. And the school parking lot was completely untouched by plows, so it was a nightmare to get through.

Did I mention I have to go back later?

I thought you'd want to encourage him! Tell him to forecast more snow! Everyone knows weathermen are always wrong.

It's funny, because during the last one, some of my extended family that live in southern NJ got hammered with a foot of snow. Apparently the weather was bad enough at the main campus of my college that they had to cancel classes on Saturday. My area (Northern NJ) only got a few inches.

I've no idea what's going to happen tomorrow though. Maybe my evening class will get canceled, too. o.o

...begs the question, how badly does it need to snow for them to cancel classes? If it's anything like Denver, it'll take a good 36 inches before they do that. And they'll be hesitant then even!

I'd never thought I'd say this, but I'm really starting to hate snow.

It would've been alright we just had the December 19th storm and be done with the big storms for several years.  After all, a big snowstorm once every few winters is actually kind of nice (aside from shoveling it).

But not twice in one season.  We got 33 inches with the initial blast and 10 more with the storm that just passed today.  It took the plows two days from the initial blast to clear the main roads to the point where you could see pavement.  Driving home from work yesterday is up there with one of the most scariest moments in my life (people around here drive like idiots to begin with).  My arms hurt from shoveling, living in a townhouse makes it worse since there's not many places to put the stuff, and my internet connection being a bit unreliable today.  But at least it looks pretty and it's always fun to play in.

On another note, I took a couple of photos after today's blast finished.

My mom and I were just talking about this yesterday.

Where's global warming when you need it? It's too bad we can't just pack up all this snow and rain and send it over to places where there's drought.

Same way in Nebraska. At least for my school... Crazy med school may cancel their classes if it's a severe winter blizzard morning and the professors can't make it in. However since our university is an actual hospital staff is required to come in regardless. As for grad students, if you have experiments the lab does not close and nothing is canceled.

Planes landed here during the last big blizzard we had. We were scrambling to see how we could pick up a friend from the airport. Her flight got delayed by 30 minutes but most students live out West, far from the airport and those of us that live 15 minutes away couldn't even get our cars out...

So, yeah a foot of snow is no big deal around here

I'll probably be stranded at school over the weekend if it gets as bad as they say it's going to.  Which sucks since there's absolutely nothing to do here.

At least there's a rodeo going on Saturday, so maybe I won't totally go insane.
