I.E. You should be THANKING the dub you guys got, infact that you got a dub at all. Otherwise this would of happened. This would have been the show you were watching. Hmm, why are they called Sailor Scouts? I know, they fight evil with MAGICAL SPACE SAILSHIPS. AND DANCING.

I though You Tube embedded videos where only to be used in the You Tube Thread?

... Eh, never mind.

What make this hilarious wasn't the actual trailer itself, but the comments from the one guy as the video was playing. Also the lyrics seemed to fit early 90's DiC (Unfortunately).

So, if we didn't get the dub of Sailor Moon, we would have ended up getting a bastardized western animated/live action version of the original product?

I wouldn't have watched that if I were a little kid in a million years. EVER.

You know what, I'll play devil's advocate here and say that, given that we already crossed "annoy the author" event horizon without the existance of this show, I would have liked to have seen it exist for the sheer lol factor. Certainly can't be as bad as the dub induced plot holes that the show created or the 18 minute UK cut episodes (which were impossible to watch).

Sailor Moon is traditionally a dumped on franchise, so why be so afraid and horrified of what is just a minor and only potential slight against it when so many true crimes and attrocities have been carried out in it's name. I'm half convinced the appeal of the show, beyond scantilly clad women, is the narm charm.

Young me probably would have given the show a chance. However, I still think it's the most horrifying Sailor-related thing I've ever seen, mostly because of how undeniably lame it is when compared with the original series. Why on earth did they feel the need to get rid of Usagi's iconic long pigtails?

To be fair, waaaaaaaaaay back then, the pigtails probably weren't as iconic as it is now.
