because I really did. Then again I really wanted to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised and very glad I went to see it. Being a kid of the original TMNT era, this was what I grew up on and I love seeing them wherever it may be. Like in the future. 2010, possibly?

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37499

Anyone think this is a good idea or not? Personally i'm glad they are planning on doing this. If they can top the first TMNT then i'd say this should be full of win. But definitely keep it CGI, if it's going to be a sequel...we don't need any SW: Clone Wars business going on, now. o.o

I remember the movie quite obviously hinting at a sequel. I liked the movie (despite the racket from the kids in the theater)/(though I wouldn't put it above the original), so if they decide to make the sequel, then sure, I'll take it.

I believe they should stick with the CGI as it looked quite good. I'm not exactly sure how well I or anybody else would receive a live-action version in this day and age. But for the love of god, no CGI turtles in a live-action world. 😐

I hope for a new TMNT. Last year's movie had no right to be that good, but it was. And I loved it.

Suprisingly good movies are the best kind.

Ya, 'twasn't bad.

Using VA's I grew up listening to on Saturday mornings sort of subconsciously derails any attempt for it to be a serious film, though (I'm lookin' at you, Jim Cummings.). And the original really aced the characterization for, well, everyone. But it was fun and I giggled at the Thriller reference.

Yea like..big time hinting. I had kinda forgot about the ending until you said that RR. And yea...CGI turtles in a live action world could destroy the galaxy. For real. And a new live action film, could probably be very good, but considering they've already began this CGI thing...might as well keep it up.

I hope for a new TMNT. Last year's movie had no right to be that good, but it was. And I loved it.

Tell me about it man. I think I went to go see that movie like...3 times. >_> I remember all the hype around it prior to its release.

And GT...what's wrong with Shellalicious? It's like the new age take of "Shell of a time". Still nothing conquers Cowabunga. Nothing.

As for the movie. I didn't follow it that well. Though I hope the Shredders actually appears in its sequel.

I admit, I was underwhelmed by it. Raph was badass, but the plot, animation. characterization and acting of other characters seemed inadequate. I'm a fan of the TMNT, though, so I enjoyed it for the most part, but not as much as, say, the 2003 cartoon or the first movie.

I still have yet to see the new CGI one and I better get to it if they are working on a sequel. I loved the original live action ones back in the day.

It was a decision suggested by Playmates, due to low sales on the figures, to shake up the status quo. Mirage, Playmates, and 4Kids eventually agreed on Fast Forward. The upcoming season "Back to the Sewers" brings the turtles back to New York, one year after they left.

With Jim Henson gone they better NOT attempt live Action. LEARNED FROM THE THIRD MOVIE Arrrrgh *foams*

But Karai was all like "You will meet somebody from your paaaaassst" at the end of the movie. So its gotta be Shredder......or Krang lol

Baxter Stockman?

The Rat King? Meh probably not the rat king

So was the last Ninja turtles movie a follow up of the third or was it like an Alternate Universe so like its like a reset?

Back to the Sewers? That sounds good. I'll have to check that out for sure. And supposedly TMNT I thought...took place after III. Hence the "things" you see at the end of the movie. *shrugs*

http://www.tmnt-l.com/index.php/topic,3685.0.htm l">A video showing the incredibly unnessesary redesigns of April and Casey.

How do you people feel about the Turtles having pupils now? To say the least they look better than how they did in Fast Forward. But April and Casey sure took a step backwards.

And I can't tell if this is a bad case of squash and stretch when these pictures were put together. But I'm thinking this time around there will be tiny tiny height and body build variations. Unless these images suffered a rough scale job.
Mikey looks shorter and stockier than the rest.
Donatello seems to have a longer mid section. Like he's ment to be taller.
Raph looks as tall as Donatello and has the broadest shoulders.
Leo is kinda default.

I know I'm thinking too much into it but I appreciate stuff like that. Now if only they hadn't crapped up April and Casey....

Hahaha, "What the hell happened to April?!". No kidding. That is kinda lame. Casey is ok I think. His other form was better, but this is acceptable. As for Mikey being shorter. Correct. He should be, he is the shortest. Don's might be the tallest actually, and I thought Raph was a bit shorter than him though. Speaking of Raph...where is he? I just see Leo, Don and Mikey. I'm so glad the turtles are still around though. I still need to get those original cartoon DvDs. Hmmm...Christmas? Haha

Yeah man, I totally agree. The ninja turtles were my very first obsession, even before Sonic was around. I'd love to get my hands on those original cartoon DVDs as well. As for the character redesigns, the redesigns of the turtles and Casey look decent, but April's redesign blows. Oh, and I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable last year's TMNT movie actually was and I hope that if a sequel is made for it (and let's face it, there almost definitely WILL be a sequel, it's only a matter of when), it features the return of the Shredder. The Shredder is the PERSONIFICATION of badassery.

This video includes Raph. He looks taller than Leo and his shoulders are huge. It'll be weird though since the Turtles are ALWAYS shorter than average humans XD

Despite how stoopid Fast Forward was. I loved its theme song more than the original 2003 series theme.

As far as the movies go, it couldn't be Baxter or the Rat King, because they haven't met either either yet in the movie's continuity. As for Krang, well, that's a long story in itself that I won't go into.
TMNT took place a year or two after Turtles 3.

Really? I could've sworn I heard it took place after the first movie.

Anyway, I can deal with the turtles having pupils. But those seem a little... too pupils? Almost anime-ish, really. They seem like they clash with the rest of the character design. Black dots would've been fine.

Huh.. I heard it took place a year or two after the third. o_0;
This scene makes me think it still is though...

Shredder's Helmet, and the T.C.R.I. canister are there. The time scepter, and the turtle's Japanese armor are there too.

I always thought those items in that scene were just homages of sorts to the other movies. Though I guess, chronologically, it wouldn't make sense for them to be there if the movie did take place just after the first one. I dunno, it doesn't really matter much. The whole "meeting someone from your past" line pretty much has to reference the Shredder. I don't think they're going to send the English guy from the third movie into the future to fight the turtles.

Just another little thing I remembered: I recall the creators of the movie saying (months and months before it was released) that TMNT was going to be an even darker movie than the first one. That didn't seem to turn out to be the case. Just felt like throwing that out there.

Yea you know...now that I think about it...I think I do remember it coming before III atleast...possibly after I like Rabid said. And yea those could be homages-easter egg type things thrown in there to please the older crowd. As for it being darker...hmmm not too sure about that one. I do remember people hoping it wouldn't be too kiddy though.

As for Raph's redesign in Return to the Sewers, it's not bad. His shoulders are massive. Haha must do his fair share of pull-ups and push ups, huh? lol

I fell out of love with the show pretty quickly, returning only briefly for the Cthulhu styled episode, which was amazing, but this has potential.

The idea of showing the season finale at the very start of the show, to create a build up and increase viewer intrigue as to who that ninja dude who "dealt with them already" was and how all three Shredders could show up at once will be drive for fans to keep watching.

Granted the near future scene was stupid as heck and too far OTT, I'd be willing to check in on the progress of the show.

So many Time puns aaaaaaaaaaargh!

Dang how many shredders are there now? Cyber Shredder, Utrom shredder, Tengu Shredder, Karai Shredder. They just keep reinventing him.

....I wanna see Karai. Thats one character I wish they had redesigned and not April. Karai didn't look one bit Japanese. She looked like an american middle aged brunette.
And now April looks like Starfire in civilian clothes or a rejected extra in Teen Titans all together. She looks like a little girl yet Casey still looks like an adult and thats just weird.

*Laughs* I was looking at the intro and it really does feel like they're going for an insanely large toy collection. Turtles, Skater Turtles, Cyber Turtles, Shredder, Cyber Shredder, Mystic Shredder etc etc.

More power to them, but holy crap that's a load of variations. Especially given that there're so many Shredders.

I never watched the show religiously after the first season. Did they ever do adaptions of the Sewer King, Krang or any of the other "just in the 80/90's cartoon" characters? Or are they sticking strickly to comic!Turtles ideas?

whenever they weren't the plot wasn't an adaption of the comic. It never had anything to do with the old 80's cartoon.

I kinda wish they would continue adapting the comic because further down the line Michelangelo gets some alien princess pregnant XD....Well...she lays an egg anyway. The last I checked the comic was in hiatus.

Peter Laird absolutely despises the 80's toon, so don't expect anything from it aside the funny little shout out.

eeps is that fanart or official?

And yeah Peter Laird hated the 80's toon despite its success which is incredibly ironic because if that show never exsisted the Turtles never would have been the cult phenomenon it was. And it probably wouldn't even be mentioned today. Ah so that IS official. Now I actually consider that an improvement. And while the older design probably matches the comic book more accurately in appearance of age. She didn't look japanese in the slightest. Her fake accent didn't help that either.

Not bad, even though this "Techno World" might be annoying. The intro was pretty nice, too. The helicopter shot was an homage to the original series. <3

Did anyone else think that Kahn was originally one of the Shredder's Elite Foot Ninja?

1) The Elite Foot's theme was playing when Kahn appeared
2) He already knew the turtles but wasn't the same vice versa
3) He appears and disappears like and Elite Foot

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQD-P-9M9U8 Episode 4 is called "The Engagement Ring"

The start of this episode baffles me. This is something that never would have happened in the first few seasons of this show's exsistance. What kind of ninja attack a marked man in broad day light in the middle of a busy market place wearing black?
