1st of all, i like the new board. yuku was kind of lame.
2nd of all, it feels nostalgic to be back here. i Frequented the boards when i was younger quite a bit. (around 14-16 years old) and have periodically posted since then. I've lurked for quite awhile and decided to come back *hopefully more actively.*
A little backdrop on leaving: life got in the way. in the best way it could've:
this is my girlfriend. we've been dating for almost two years, and she's changed my life. I've changed hers as well, she's almost a full-blown geek now.
other events in the last two years:
-I enrolled in college, My major being Industrial systems technology. which is mining, it's a big occupation up here *northern minnesota* and you make bank.
-I got a job with lowe's home improvement.
-My family adopted a yellow lab puppy, she's gone from an adorable miscreant to full blown moose.

-My girlfriend and i got an apartment.
-we moved out of said apartment due to the smart idea of saving money.
-My grandfather was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. the positive of this is that i spend so much more time with him and i cherish every moment.
-i turned 21, which has led to many alcohol induced adventures.
-i've taken control of my nutrition and gone from 240lbs to 200lbs. i'm making the next three months the time when i finally push to 180lbs and have a freakin' six pack.
that's a pretty quick recap of the last two years. here's the recap of the last two days.
-someone filed a false report about me at work.
-my managers did not listen to my side of the story.
-i lost my job and can't find motivation to do much of anything.
I filed for unemployment, applied to 8 other jobs. and here i am. I may just take the summer off and hang out with friends, while living off the unemployment. still trying to find a job of course, i'm the type of person that needs a job in his life.
Basically, all in all, i needed someone to listen to me. Hopefully i'll become a productive member of this board again. hope you have a good read!

not quite yet. 🙂 if my plan works out really well *crosses fingers* i'll do a before and after pic, it'll be around late august when i'm done with the program i'm doing.
Cool story bro. Ending was kind of a bummer, though... hope you can work it out. I want to see happy endings.
i know, but it really led to why i'm back here. i have a lot of spare time now and not a whole lot to do. I have a stockpile of videogames i have yet to play though. will definitely have to get started on that when i'm not jobhunting.

The name rings a bell. Glad to see another return! Also sorry to hear about the job situation, hope that situation turns around for you. The weight loss sounds quite impressive, hope you succeed in getting that six-pack. 🙂
thanks guys. there are definitely jobs around here. just waiting on phone calls now. and the six pack will happen. someday. but i'll settle for more a lean look as well, it's good to set your sights high.
