But what scares me is that the school didn't take steps to inform the unrelated faculty or the students until seven hours later. In fact, the only reason they said they did THAT is because it was on the news and parents would be worried.

What do they think a student's first warning should be, gunshots? News link. And no, I didn't know the idiot personally.

I said it's my school.

The link names a specific school.

...:P

And yeah, though weapons arrests weren't exceedingly rare early last year, this is the first gun I know of.

Pretty scary.

Know what's even scarier? Contemplating the number of times a gun may have been brought to your school without anyones knowledge of its presence.

I see, I see. Because I was pretty sure you were in college and like if someone brought a school a gun on campus...I was like..."oh no not this again". But Psx makes a point...that is something you'll probably never know.

Oh, I have no doubt whatsoever that people've gotten away with that.

Man

If I honestly wanted to I could carry a gun to school without being detected every day of the year. They'd have to randomly check my backpack. Seeing a kid caught with a gun is much less scary than thinking that anyone could have a gun on them. >_>

Dude, I'm not dumb enough to get caught. Certainly not before the first class even starts!

...I feel bad about that joke. =/

Sx you do realize someone could just photoshop the part about your comment being a joke out of your post and then send the picture to your school.

He could edit his name over his account name

I'm pretty sure he's told us his full name

Then they could paste in one of those pictures of SX holding a gun

Hell you don't need the name just show the pic in the post.

Actually, those pictures were taken at my school...

...You are meaning the one with the M240 or the one with the M4, right?

Yeah, those were taken at a school function. Either way, if you want to argue "could edit text over," you very well could take any post I've made and do the same thing.

Better yet make his avatar be a picture of SX with a gun, his signature being a banner of SX with a gun with the words "death 2 skool" on it, and include an elaborate scheme for as to how he will attack his school.

Then make some fake webpage that shows the page.

They'd probably fall for it.

The only way to solve this problem is to bring more and more guns until everyone is used to it.

You australians don't even know how to use guns, just boomerangs.

I'm pretty sure that there are some Australians who're skilled enough to take off one's head with a boomerang.

Quite a few of us Aussies know how to use guns, but I'm sure we'd prefer boomerangs anyway because guns are for pussies. Seriously, ANYONE can use a gun. You just pull the trigger and BANG! The job's done. There's barely any actual skill involved.

Any idiot can use a gun. It takes a special kind of idiot to use it well, though.

An idiot is still an idiot, whether they're a 'special kind' of idiot or not.
