They sound french, and I've never had them. >_>
501st post!
I've had Belgian waffles...while in Belgium! I think there were actually sugar clusters in the batter.
Weirdest part? Got it from a little beachside store.
You've been in Belgium Terg? o_o
Wow, I've never been outside the US before.
Personally, I'd really like to see Wales, I hear it's pretty cool. I'm also 1/8th Welsh, so go figure. 😛
i've been to wales a few times, it's a nice place.. ^^
(well, part from a supermarket where a lady rammed her trolly into me and didn't apologise. oo; )
I was actually living in Brussels, Belgium for about a year. My family lived overseas until I was about 10, because my dad worked at US embassies all over. Belgium was actually the last stop before he retired and we came to Illinois to live.
We lived in Vienna Austria before that. I made friends with this kid whose father owned the Hofbauer chocolate factory in Vienna (we went to the same private school). I traded Shark Bites fruit snack pouches with him for boxes of exquisite chocolates. Pretty nice deal. I also got to see his family's home built into the top of the factory, where they had a full-size swimming pool built in.
My family has also lived in other places like Turkey, Jamaica and Japan (although I wasn't around for the latter two, my older brothers were born in Japan).
wow, very nice! o-o
Was you born in the US, then, Terg?
Quote:
wow, very nice! o-o
*agrees with that response^^*sounds like there were lots of neat experiences!
Yeah, we did a fair bit of sightseeing while overseas, including the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the guardsmen in England. Not to mention a lot of castles.
I was actually born in Germany; my mom went there to have me, since we were living in Nigeria at the time and they didn't have quite the same level of quality in their hospitals. My sister and my younger brother were the only two kids born in the States.
a bit like one of my freinds then, her dad was in the army and they moved around a lot when she was little. she was born in an english army base in germany. o-o some dafties claim this makes her german somehow.
*takes personal pride in being born a womble!*
Ta-da!
*runs away&
o.o?
STOP POSTING IN THIS TOPIC D:
I have to enter this forum everytime someone does, just so I can clear it! And it is always due to a post in Ari's topic or the Son of Word Association topic =
this post is for you, mike
hello hiro! ^.^ how are you today?
Hi again!
I were here for years ago, but I can't remember my username.
o-o! *steals your shoelaces, hands you a bottle of apple juice, flee!*
I'm doing pretty good, Becca. But this Electronics quiz suuuuuuuuuuuuucks =(
*aww @ hiro* maul it with fire!
my old landlord is trying to get me to pay for bills for time periods where i wasn't even in the house that he rented to me. o.x; *sporks at the air!*
Mauling with a maul may be more alliterative, though.
hmmm, I got an 89 on the test
now I am trying to write a paper for Faith and Engineering... ugh, I need to find another source to quote from our readings =
nah, poisonous fire is very effective. oo especially if it's green!
Green fire? How positively absurd.
..now i'm hungry. o-o;
Poisonous green fire makes you hungry?
yup, it did.. no idea why. oo;;
hmmm o.o
I wonder if it works like in Gauntlet Legends, where if you use a potion on poisoned food, it will make the food safe to eat.
…Though I guess in this case, you'd just end up with non-poisonous green fire. o.o And since I don't think that'll help much with being hungry, I guess I'll shrug and say "ah well^^;" to that random train of thought, especially since now I'm not too sure how I ended up thinking about that in the first place anyway^^;
i could toast marshmallows on it? ^.^
Green fire is real.
I learned that in Chemistry, I don't remember what made it, I think it was when you apply fire to some copper compound or something.
mnn, copper flavoured marshmallows.. ^.^
Well, the only reason fireworks burn in different colours is the metals they mix with the other chemicals and stuff. I used to know which chemicals burn in which colour, but yeah.
yeah, back when i was at school, i used to know too. ^^;
and that was 8 years ago, no wonder i've forgotten. oo;
No, I just knew it because I like things that explode. 😛
It is copper, most famously. There are a few others as well, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Ones that burn poiple are nicer Nn
it's been far too long for me. ^^; *forgets lots of things unless reminded on a semi-regular basis*
What is the purpose of this thread?!....
.... I love desk...
the purpose is to welcome ari! HI ARI. WELCOME TO THE MOFO! ^.^
Well we all knew this time was coming. Bye Ari. Hope to see you in another 1000 years like always.
*WELCOME TO THE MOFO'd +1* thanks^^
and o.o…I actually will be away for a bit due to Spring Break, but hopefully it won't be that long XD;
hello^^@Cognasanti
great, then we'll get to welcome you again. :p
Yeah, come back Ari!
*lays bear traps*
Those *might* be big enough to stop her if she's in dragon form.
Might be.
"This thread is still alive?"
etc,etc
She should be coming back today, if I'm not mistaken.
Everyone, get into your places, and make sure that "WELCOME BACK ARIKYRENNE" banner doesn't get snagged on anything. And will someone make sure the ice cream cake is out of the freezer so it'll be just a tiny bit soft by the time she gets here? Baskin Robbins had a heck of a time making a dragon-shaped cake and it wouldn't do to waste it now.
*waits by the door with a spork in each hand, poised to pounce!* o-o
*returns to thread, back from Spring Break*^^
*is the very first to pounce!* Welcome back, Ari!
wow. this topic really went on for a long time oO;
Anywayz, weba ^^
I'm abi...I think I stopped posting here by the time you came, so this is also my very, very, very ect. late welcome ^^
