Makes me cry that people like my brother think the movie was good... Most people go to the movies to watch the special effects while not caring for the (nonexistent) plot and character development. I wonder how many will go watch it and come back saying the movie was great.
Only reason I'm watching it is that I can get in for free... same reason I'll be seeing Eclipse tomorrow (actually I'm watching it for the hot guys on screen... I laughed way to much with the books, great comedy) yay for friends who work in movie theaters

Jacob I can get why girls like him (a very nice body) though I don't particularly find him attractive, but I find nothing remotely hot about Edward; he looks like a drug addict. When I see his beady little eyes and messy hair, I don't think "Ooh-la-la", I keep thinking he's begging to get his daily fix.

I think Jacob is cute, although he looked better with long hair IMO. Edward... yeah... I don't really like pasty guys with sunken eyes and yes he looks like he's on heroin or meth (wait didn't he compare Bella to heroin at some point so it means he HAS tried heroin).

Frankly, I was glad he got a haircut. Long hair on men = no-no to me. There's very few who I feel can pull it off, both real and fictional *points to my icon of someone who can pull it off, but that may help because I think older men are hot*

I just watched it and frankly it made me want to cry and throw my 3D glasses at the screen while yelling at Shyamalan for b@st@rdizing a great cartoon

Ranting session: WTF why did Shyamalan bastardize Avatar: The Last Airbender? We didn't even get Appa or Momo time! The acting was horrible. Some effects were cool yes BUT the 3D was very blurry! The movie was made for 2D and then cheaply converted to 2D. As for the storyline and script go, it could have been 10X better! I mean ECLIPSE had a better script!
And the misspronounciation of names... Iroh, Aang, Sokka.... umm hello! Oh and Prince Zuko's acting sucked! We didn't even get the Kyoshi Warriors! Yue sucked! I wanted to just throw my glasses at the screen on so many occasions... Aang even do Katara's speech in the Earth Kingdom village... WHY!!!!!
PS: fighting in the village and in the Northern Water Tribe was pretty cool...
Ahhhhh, the Blue Spirit! Where the hell did that plot come from??? It's like it was randomly thrown in there! The Blue Spirit was much more cooler than that and he deserved more credit! Same goes for Uncle Iroh. It makes me want to cry! Uncle Iroh was one of my favorite characters. I can't stand Prince Zuko in this film at all.
I hope they do NOT make Book Two: Earth into a movie. I cannot stand the bast*rdization on Toph!

I am so glad I actually watched the series itself.
Because even from the commercials I'd seen it looked like it was really going to stink. However, there are still airing those things. If it had actually gotten any positive reviews it would have been splattered all over the thing, but no, they've been ridiculously short.
So, uh... I hear TLA claimed #2 at the box office for the weekend.
I don't know if a four day total of 58 Million translates to "Sequel NAO!" considering they nearly spent three times the budget on the movie and advertising.
Not to say that there won't be a sequel. Just that it would be kinda hard to justify.
So I torrented a camrip went and saw it tonight. Maybe I'd just spoiled all the bad parts for myself already, but I just found it just mediocre and boring. It didn't feel heartbreakingly bad as some say, but maybe that's because I didn't pay a cent for the damn thing got free tickets or something, I'unno. That and I just marathoned the entire series this weekend, so, yeah. It's gonna take more than that to bring down this high.

What the bleep? I heard that the writing and acting were bad, but this is just beyond belief. Until the budget became obviously over $100 I thought I might be watching a fan parody of the movie. This is far below most MST3K movies and SyFy originals.
I had conveniently forgotten how horrible the movie was! I wanted to punch the computer screen at the Earthbending scene just now :@ Why why why????
Then I saw the Dancebendin' video and it all made sense! I was missing the actual music for the movie! I bet the movie was a parody meant to drive the fans of A:TLA insane... makes sense right
