It seems a lot of Japanese game companies base their layouts on Japan? @ GT's first reply to this thread also showing such behaviour

If by "a lot of Japanese game companies", you mean "Nintendo", then yes

Know these to sneaker companies?

Well, Rudolph Dassler and his brother, Adolf "Adi" Dassler owned a sneaker company called Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik. They persuaded an Olympic runner to wear their spikes, and he ended up winning four gold medals that year.
One day when a bombing was occurring Adi and his family hopped into a bomb shelter where Rudolph and his family already were. When they entered the shelter, Adi said, "The dirty bastards are back again," referring to the bomber planes. Yet, Rudolph took this as insult towards him. The brothers split and Adi Dassler created Adidas while Rudolph Dassler created Ruda (later becoming Puma).

Do you hear this? That's the planet Saturn you are listening to.

Scientists have discovered another baffling recording: close your eyes and listen to it, to try to figure out what pretell it might be.

I know this isn't "the more you know" awesome... but it depicts Phoenix Wright, Freddy Mercury, Cpt. Picard and... Sadam Hussein? On the cross. That alone is awesome.

Behold, the one final boss which makes Giygas look like a kitten: Kings of Power 4 Billion %

Oh my god that wet girl's face came right off her head. XD

I was listening to GS Meets Jazz's Fragrance of Dark Coffee (Jazz remix of Godot's theme) while watching it. It was wonderous how well it fit.

The Mario Asshole fangame. So awesome for the sheer insanity of the level designs which is both tough AND cleverly displayed. Also has a sequel.

Nuch edit: fixed the youtube links

CARL SAGAN

When it comes to "TOTALLY AWESOME" stuff from Carl Sagan, I'd like to mention this clip on evolution for how the music, the bizarre scenery, (and the way it depicts Carl Sagan as walking around in it) the narrative style in explaining evolution, etc... how all those things come together...

I'd also like to mention the music video for the Weezer song Pork and Beans. It references lots of Internet phenomena in one video, making it seem like some kind of super-crossover, especially in the part towards the end where they have so many of the people from them in the same room at the same time... and there's things in it I didn't even notice until after having watched the video multiple times, such as how Miss Teen South Carolina is standing next to a blender with a piece of paper saying "MAPS" in it at 2 minutes 54 seconds in...

EDIT: Fixed typo...

Epically HUGE maybe. Why doesn't Firefox 3 use the scroll bars to stop table stretching like it used to?

It's cool, btw.

Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo." is a grammatically correct sentence used as an example of how homonyms and homophones can be used to create complicated constructs. It has been discussed in literature since 1972 when the sentence was used by William J. Rapaport, currently an associate professor at the University at Buffalo. It was posted to Linguist List by Rapaport in 1992. It was also featured in Steven Pinker's 1994 book The Language Instinct. Sentences of this type, although not in such a refined form, have been known for a long time. A classic example is the proverb "Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you".
