Siblings! You love them or you loathe them! :D

Almost everyone has them.

Do you have any siblings, and if so, how many? Are they brothers or sisters and how much older or younger are they compared to you?

Do you get on with them or is life with them difficult?

And for those of you who are only childs... do you wish you had any siblings?

Post your sibling related stories in this thread :D

As for me I have a twin sister who is very obnoxious, loudmouthed, and hypocritical. The majority of my family dislike her, and I'm inclined to agree with them considering what she has done before, including lying, stealing and cheating.

But what about you?

I have 2... And a huge 11 and 13 year gap...

For the longest time it looked like I was the only. Then boom boom...

I'll add more about those two later

I have a seven and a half years younger brother called Alexandro. He'll turn 10 in October.

We like each other very much and get along reasonably well. I'm like a role model to him and sometimes act out as a "second mother", giving out orders and telling him to behave and all that.

This last 10 months when I've been in Greece away from my parents and brother he (and I as well) realized how much I meant to him, so now we're much closer than we were before; which is kinda sweet. :)

He shares with me the love for videogames, but he's also a major football fanatic, which is odd in the sense nobody else in the closest family, including my father, are really keen on football asides the World Cup or the European Championship.
But I guess he got that from his friends at school.

I have one brother, who is two years younger than me, and my exact opposite in everything. I also have a Step-brother who is in his late thirties, don't know much about him.

I have a little sister two years younger then me. She's currently 19 and she serves as the silent yin to my raging yang. Ironically, she's a bit more mature then I am (though I assume it's cuz' I have the whole "kid in me" feel) and remains a bit of a stoic person (at least towards me anyways).

We're complete opposites in everyway (she's more social, intelligent, and perfers Mario, I'm socially inept, dumb as a box of hammers, and am a Luigi gal), but we get along remarkably well.

I've got a 16 year old brother, who's sole purpose in life appears to be to get on my nerves, or take utter umbridge at my existance. We tend to get on okay when we are together for only short amounts of time, then it can even be fun talking to him.

Much longer than that however and we just squabble like cats in a bag.

I have two siblings, a younger brother and younger sister.

My brother is 17; we're twelve months and twelve days apart. When we were little, we were each other's best friend. In some ways, we still are. Sure, we have our arguments and our days where we absolutely hate each other, but for the most part, we have the same interests, same jokes, same lots of things. Some people consider us almost like twins, we're that similar. ^^

My sister is 14; she and I only recently started to get along in a sisterly way. We don't have too many of the same interests and we're complete opposites in personality. Most of the time, we grate on each others' nerves; not so much, lately.

Life with them is only difficult when they see me as an extension of mom and decide I don't have authority over them (...which I don't ^^; I sometimes like to think I do, but that's different...).

We spent the entirety of the summer together working at camp, and I think that strengthened our relationship like nothing else. ^__^ In short, they rock and I love them.

I have a younger sister (19) and younger brother (17).

Both are in bands and share the same drummer, and have taken up music quite heavily, my brother especially.

I also have an older half sister (31), and four younger half brothers. We all share the same Dad.

Now my Dad, he has five brothers and three sisters, being second youngest of the lot (yet the only one to go bald. :P) He also had a few foster sibblings though I don't know much about them.

I have two older brothers. One is 21 and the other is 19. I used to not get along that well with my 19 year old brother, but nowadays we talk with each other when he's home from college. I've always got along with my oldest brother but now we don't have as good of a relationship than the past. All three of us liked video games when we were young, but now neither of my brothers play recent games. We all still enjoy playing a round of Mario Party on the N64, though. Actually, my oldest bro is currently doing a playthrough of Majora's Mask.

I got myself two brothers and a sister.

The two brothers are twins, they're both 16. My sister is 15. And for three days in February, they're all the same age because they were born less than a year apart.

I have a sister who's about 1 1/2-2 years younger than I. We're pretty much on good terms, but there are some stuff that she likes that gets on my nerves, and vice versa. I also have an older half-brother (Dad's side) who I've met once a few years ago. He's super-tall. o.o

i have two younger sisters, one 18 months younger then me, the other is 6 years younger.

i get on pretty well with them both, but find myself getting on the most with my youngest sister, as we both have interests in manga, anime, games, teh internets and etcetc.
my other sister, we can talk and get on alright, but we've very little in common so we haven't really much to talk about. ^^; we used to play a lot when younger, but just grew up into very differant people.

I have a younger sister who's aged 14. We have a sort of love/hate relationship, where one minute we're chatting and laughing and the next we're gouging each other's eyes out. I swear she has the sharpest hearing of anyone I know c.c. We have completely different interests, her being into fashion and sports and me into technology. Our personalities are pretty similar though, we're both pretty short-tempered and stubborn yet quickly forgiving. So yah.

Oh and she dispises it when I talk about her. lol

I have one brother and two sisters, aged 43, 44 and 45!

Yep, that means a 12 year age gap between me and the next youngest sibling! Funnily enough, it coincides exactly with the time my parents tried getting back together again after they split up.

I was a complete accident.

I have 2 siblings. Older brother and older sister who are both married with children and in their mid 30s (I forget just how old they are x.x) My sister's family has 4 kids who idolize me that live in New Jersey. My brother's family has 2 kids that live in Seattle. Unfortunately, over the past several years, we've been drifting apart in terms of closeness... A LOT. Especially with my brother. So now I've had experience with feeling like being and only child for several years.

I have one blood related sibling. She and I are night and day opposites. I'm the stable level headed one (yes, I'm not this crazy off teh interwebz), and she's the partier biker chic. It's one of those strange ones that would probably classified as disfunctional. People are always shocked to hell when one of us gets in trouble and the other pops outta nowhere throwing around all the weight we can muster.

I have one younger cousin that is pretty much my younger brother. He's like me, just lazier and LAZIER. I always tend to take up for him, get him jobs, then browbeat him for being lazy later. He never had a dad or male figure and he's aorund 7 years younger than me so I guess I fell into the role of meanass but protective older brother.

I've got an older sister, who's just turned 21, and an older brother, who's 24.

We're all pretty close, and we all get on each other's nerves, my brother moreso than anyone else. He really can be an ass most of the time, but he's cool.

I think I'm a little closer to my sister, though, and sometimes I annoy her to no end. I tend to think she's got no sense of humor. She can pretty mean though, and always tried to boss me around growing up.

If anything, though, I really started to draw and play games, my sister and I, because of our brother. Even though we eventually drifted off into our own realms of nerdiness (my brother with his sports and cars, my sister with anime, me with my video games, cartoons, and the internet), from time to time we still may have the occassional discussion about random stuff.

One brother who just turned 16.

And how does one go about slapping a conforming mentality out of a teenager?

I have three older brothers. I also have two nephews and one sister-in-law.

When I was younger, I got on the most and played with my third eldest brother the best, even if we got on each other's nerves horrendously sometimes. I still get on with him fairly well, but he's grown into a much different person from me.

I gained most of my hobbies and interests from my immediate family I'd have to say. My oldest brother used to be the biggest video game geek out of us all, but that's me nowadays - probably because he now has a family to look after of his own.

I got my interest in drawing mostly from my second eldest brother, with whom I still tend to have the most rapport in conversation when he's feeling talkative.

My love of music probably stems from both my dad and my third eldest brother once again. I think he resents the fact I have more musical talent than him sometimes though ;p

An interesting fact: although I am the youngest of my brothers, I am also the tallest, measuring a proud six feet and six inches =D
