Also I remember when I used to like this show. I was quite annoyed when the Green Ranger was made a villain - when green was (and still is) my favorite color. I was even more annoyed when they made him the White Ranger.

What I always wondered is why, out of the two female power rangers, the pink one had a skirt and the yellow one had pants.

Personal preference maybe? I just don't remember Zordon going through customization options.

In the Japanese Super Sentai (Dino version, I forget the exact title), yellow was a guy and pink was a girl.

When bringing it over to America to turn it into Power Rangers, diversity demanded yellow be turned into an Asian girl! And of course the Black Black Ranger and the Native American Red Ranger.

Blue and pink aren't really stereotypes, so they're left out.

After a couple of weeks of watching the show, my parents watched it and said it was too violent :cry

Pink and yellow have always totally been girl colors. At least as far as elementary school goes. So it is totally totally natural that girls be assigned to them. In fact, how stereotypical is it for a girl to wear pink? Totally stereotypical! And don't all nerdy boys wear blue???

In fact, blue is the color of the ocean - which nerdy people totally love to study!

I think the only other ranger with orange on the suit is the Mercury Ranger (www.rangercentral.com/proo-rg-tyzonn.htm ), though there's a lot less of the orange than with the Kat Ranger.

Personally, I love how no one complains about the property damage caused by the battles between the Zords and the giant version of the MOTM (Monster Of The Moment).

Then again, all the buildings seem to be made out of cardboard, so I guess reconstruction costs aren't that high.
