Never saw either Bill & Ted movie, so I don't have a specific Bill & Ted opinion.

But direct-to-video/DVD movies tend to be horrific.

Different director. Different writers. Incredibly long odds of the same leads, who'll look about as convincing as Gary Coleman in those roles at the moment, anyway (having gotten a bit past looking like convincing teen slackers).

This doesn't bode well. Not even if it's a continuation of the animated series.

(Not just for Bill and Ted but for almost all direct-to-video/DVD movies. I'm pretty sure there are exceptions but I'm drawing a blank here).
