I now cannot wait for 2010!
On the opening day of Disney/Pixar's latest box-office juggernaut, the critically-acclaimed family adventure Up, Hollywood's reigning computer-animation powerhouse teased us with a glimpse of their next blockbuster, Toy Story 3. Like a star wide receiver high-stepping en route to the end zone, Disney/Pixar couldn't resist a little showboating, releasing a teaser trailer for their summer 2010 release that serves notice that their unprecedented streak of hits ain't stopping any time soon.
All the familiar Toy Story characters are represented in the trailer, including Woody (Tom Hanks), Hamm (John Ratzenberger), Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles) and Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen).Toy Story 3 will be the big release of next summer.
Toy Story 3 opens June 18, 2010.
Well played PIXAR... Well played!
I'm wondering how they can possibly keep up with the first two, but that trailer was excellent. Slinky Dog didn't even sound different.
I didn't care much for the first two movies but I saw them nonetheless and they were good. I'm happy with the VAs so let's wait for the plot. I gotta admit that trailer made me smile.
They've been working on this one for a while now. The only VA that will be different is Slinky, being that he died a while back.
They got a high standard but it is Pixar. It's just tough because this comes out next summer, augh! Second one was the best.
ASAY WHUUUUUUUUTTT?
I thought they were just joking ! They were being serious the whole time?! Holy Jiminy Cricket!
Lol Buzz sure is skilled.
What did he make that sign out of and how did he do it in a single night!? XD
Buzz: Aww, come on, Woody, you do it!
Woody: Aalright, fine! D:<*Puts up the release date in those little magnet letters like you'd put on the fridge*
Buzz: There you go! Now THAT's impressive!
Woody: ^_^ Hehe! Yeah, I geuss it does look pretty good. *walks off-screen*
Buzz: I wouldn't have done it any different myself. >_> *Presses a button that brings down The release date in a light-up font similar to the Title`s after making sure Woody's not looking.*
Woody: I SAW THAT! >:O
Buzz: Hehe... ^_^; *runs off-screen as well*
Nice! Loved the first two and can't wait.
Having thought that this was canned when the Disney/Pixar machine put its foot down over cheapquels, I'm wondering if they're sticking to the plot outline that was initially floating around at that point, and keeping my fingers crossed. It's rare for a sequel to equal or surpass the original as far as I'm concerned, but the second movie didn't just do that - for me, the plots were two sides of the same coin and complimented each other.
I just wonder if Pixar can not just keep the general standard of storytelling up, but build on what they've already done in the same way.
Pixar is, like, the only company I count on to churn out good, quality stuff consistently.
Don't let me down now.
yeah, me too. I have enjoyed every one of their movies and admire how much effort they put into them to make sure that they are good.
i just saw the trailer. I don't know how this could possibly end in a good way
i wouldn't be surprised if they waited 11 years on purpose. Like...they already had this movie planned out a long time ago.
oops i double posted. sorry.
For the record, a more robust trailer came out during the 3D movie run of Toy Story 1+2.
Yeah thats the trailer I was talking about XD

It looks like it will work. I'm not holding my breath on this one to be as successful as the other two.
Also, lmao @ Mr. Potato Head's comment on "Latin Buzz".
