Hi everyone, my name is Tarsun, newbie, some guy coming back to the Sonic franchise after a long break. I was really into the SatAM cartoon back in the day and got back into sci-fi and anime just recently. Guess things are somewhat the same with Sonic and co. since the last time I checked. Did I miss anything important?

Welcome to the MoFo! Upon entering this establishment, you forfeit your sanity to the house. That said...

I OWN YOUR SANITY!!!

*steals your sanity*

Enjoy your stay and beware of LNR. Also, don't try to fight Becca. She's a Spork-Fu master, and she will kick your butt into next Tuesday.

You're welcome. Macross. Ahh ok. Awesome. I've never played any of those games nor seen any of the anime. Do you know what my signature is from?

Dang! *high fives* You got it. Do you like Virtual On any? It's my favorite gaming series actually. That pic is of the prototype of the predecessor of my favorite mech/video game character.

I played the original arcade game a couple of times when I was younger. It was a pretty good game, but really expensive to play (even now maybe). Didn't know that they could transform into jets and stuff though. It almost looks like a Valkyrie.

Anyway, I was into the original Macross and Gundam shows (as well as SatAm) back in the day. Had to take a break years ago because of other stuff. This year, though, I have to thank Macross Frontier for bringing me back to most of it (hence the avatar).

Has anyone else watched this show?

Ahh ok so you played Operation Moongate. Awesome stuff. I've never gotten to play it in the arcades. But I hear the twin sticks make the game alot better. As for the jet transformation...that's only the YZR models. Which isn't that many. lol Possibly the reason they're my favorite though. Yea I loved the majority of the Gundam shows and SatAM of course. lol Macross Frontier though? Can't say I have seen that.

I wasn't expecting much from it the when heard about it last year. But after the first episode and onwards, I'd have to say it's probably the best show of the season.

I'll admit it's sometimes silly and doesn't have as much mecha action as other shows. But the mysterious plot, the characters, and the music are what keeps me hooked. And when they do show the mechas, you can tell they are burning money with each frame. Too bad there's little to no chance that it will be released in the U.S. officially.

The best way I can describe it is,

It's Deculture!

Oh wow..that does indeed look good. Sucks it probably won't come stateside. America just doesn't like mechs for some reason. Well...Transformers I guess. But do those really count? =P

I've been keeping up with Frontier myself. Pretty dang cool stuff. I've always been a mecha fan in general...well, the more serious mecha anyway, I'm not much for the more cartoony, unrealistic kind...but Macross/Robotech has always been one of my favorite all-time series.

I'm also a SatAM fan myself, who got into Sonic (and this board) as an eventual result of it. Only got to see the USA version of SatAM though.

Welcome to the board!

Hiya! I'm a fan of the original Satam myself as well. But I'm also a big fan of Magic: the Gathering, Legend of Dragoon, and several other series as well. Do you like to rp? <.<

Sorry, never got into role-playing when I was younger. It was too complicated for me with all those dices, the GM, all those expensive miniatures, etc. Plus, there were never any players where I live. But I play/played RPGs like Baldur's Gate and Final Fantasy.

Oh, it'll get released. Gundam does well over here, and Gurren Lagann and Full Metal Panic both proved that americans can enjoy mecha shows that aren't Gundam. And since Frontier has been the goods (so far, hopefully it won't crap the bed before the series run is over), I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it's on US DVDs.

Not if the people who made Robotech have a say in it, unfortunately.
