Africa by Toto, live from Amsterdam in 2003. The closest rendition to the original I've heard, and Mike Porcaro's bass solo at the end is absolutely awesome.

This is seriously the most cacthy song I've listened to in a while. I've lsitened to it about 4 hours out of the last 20.
And it has a good morale, too: Be safe or don't go at all.

Title edited because I'm afraid the last word might be a bit over-rating

Interesting. Not my cup of tea, though, so I can't agree.

Catchy? Oo How the hell is that song catchy?

Have you even HEARD it ma- Oh, you have.
Eh, it prolly just struck a fancy with me. I have the original versioon with the intro (A f**k is a f**k man, I'd f**k anything, I'd f**k a guitar) and I find the lyrics hilarious/good/hilarious, and I love the beat. Seriously. How can you not love such lines as:

Got it from her, and I'll give it to you
Bring along your sister, 'cause that'll make us two

Ha ha ha! Sure to give the family laughs for weeks on end.
Besides, Wes, how can you not "jive" with the morale of this song? People like you are destroying Africa!

Or in hindsight, maybe it was a pun. Think about that.

Yeah. I'm going on a reply-spree. I hope I don't get in trouble for this.

For those of you who don't know, I'm from Arkansas, so Country music is bred into my genes. (Don't think that's all I listen to, though. There is seriously no genre that doesn't have two songs I like.)

Since this is my first post here, I'll split it into sections:

Country: 'Not As Good As I Once Was," Toby Keith. This song is frickin' hilarious. Especially for me, as I have an RP character that I can relate to almost head-on. :p You'll need to see the Music Video to really get it, though.

Rock (in general): "Scars," by Papa Roach. Sadly, I like this song on a misinterpretation. I understood the repeated chorus as, 'I tear my heart open, I saw myself shine.' Whereas, the true lyrics are, 'I tear my heart open, I sew myself shut.' Meh. It turned it to a song about inner strength, or something, to a song about heart surgery. O_o

"It Doesn't Matter," Trace Kyshad(?) Sonic's Adventure theme. I really like the story behind this. It says he has absolutely no morals from right and wrong, which somehow make his good deeds even better than they normally would. O_o (Kinda scary)

I believe it was Tony Harnell who did "It Doesn't Matter", oO

And on another note Boulevard of Broken Dreams though a good song in moral and tune is completely overpalyed and overrated it should be shot and killed.

Though at the momment I am listening to;
Trapt - "Headstrong"
POD - "Boom"
Goosecreek Symphony - "Welcome to Goosecreek"
Hypocrisy - "Black Forest"
Mettalica - "Fade to Black"

And yes, I like the good ole bluegrass (Goosecreek) as well as the mainstream genres. ^^
