I didn't forget that you pre-date me, Jin - I just know that you don't like being reminded of your first SN too much. 🙂
*waves to Zifei*
Wwll, this isn't the original MF - although the old DiscServer version is still alive and well, thanks to Sonic Whammy - but the MF spirit's still here. 🙂
haha, awesome. Weba, oh great creator of the MoFo. also lol @ you guys coming here now, instead of at the 10yr anniversary
^_^ As far as I know, I had a hiatus after the whole newsgroup debacle, came back, and there you were, so it feels as if though you've honestly stuck around longer, Sam.

You care!!! ;____;
*salutes* Swifty Hedgehog. As much as I don't like it, I know my roots. Corny ol' red hedgehog to jackass red hedgehog. =3

No offense meant laddy, my memory is something like that of a dead cows. I do remember though, that we used to have this lass who I thought was a great artist, and I never got up the nerve to ask her to draw something for me Had some red hedgehog character.... though I'm sure you've got a surplus of good artists now
... and you sir, break my heart. ;_;
Hehe, no offense at all. Methinks you're thinking of... Chainspike? God, I can't even remember if I spelled that right. Though I thought she was a "red echidna"? My memory is that of a plant, sir, so I have you beat. ^^
I was the "red hedgehog" who got stuck doing the "awesome reporting" of the alt.fan.sonic-hedgehog newsgroup... which was probably the dumbest idea I think we all had.
I went along just because I wanted to be a part of the whole thing. =3 ... never again though. XD
Edan, are you thinking of Questa? She was a decent artist, I think. Then again, we all sucked back then, so it's all relative.
Samanfur, the original DiscServer boards doesn't exist anymore. We had to change servers (within DiscServer) 2-3 times while I was here due to the unreliability of that service. In fact, for about a week during 1997, we didn't even have the board.
Jinsoku, I think Tristan came up with that idea. At the time, we're all going "Yeah! Cool beans! That'll show 'em!" "'Em" of course being tSf. But since nobody wanted to do it (because it was lame), and you just applied, we tossed it to the newb.

Chainspike/Lien (she of the Knuckles Adventure hoax) was a red echidna, when she wasn't a badnik. I wondered if you were maybe thinking of Jamie Swiftrunner, but she was a sort of bluish grey hedgehog, rather than a red one.

Fair enough. I know that we hopped across servers within DS, but I was thinking that the forum setup in general currently being used as MF Classic was the original.
But I wasn't around until July '98. My mistake. 🙂

. . .
Well ain't that a B-I to the itch? Thanks a lot! Well, now I don't feel so bad that I tanked. =3 It was bound for failure from the get-go, it seemed.
And tSf... holy crap. Are they even still around? I swear, (and I feel bad), I completely forgot about that place.

I know!
... okay, I can't just leave it at another two word sentence, but yes, I'm bad at noticing things. Ask Zing, I'm terrible at getting hints for Christmas presents, (partly why I hate that part of the holiday), let alone when she wants some... *ahem*... cuddle time.
Yes, the lord of PiE doesn't know when to receive it, alright? Jeez.
Wow.
So many memories. So much nostalgia packed into a single thread. So many reminders of just how old... (sigh)
Hi, Zifei, how goes it? Y'know, someone IM'ed me asking about Butterflies a couple years back. Heh. Fun times, those were. Fun times.

Nope, tSf died a while ago. Dunno if the messageboard's still going. o.o
it died? that's a shame.. there were some nice people there. we used to do freindly invasions of their RP chatroom too. ;;

The message board seemed to keep going for a while after the site stopped being updated, but even that faded out eventually.
It was always Kedzie's baby rather than a collaborative effort, and I think his life just got to the point where other things wound up taking priority.
My only wish regarding the tSf, was that someone would archive all the art there. I loved going there to look at the art.
The Architects have made a brief return. o.o
Ya'll don't mind what we've done to the place, ya?

Dunno if you meant the BeSeen, but... renaming MF Chat Council of Higher Level Thinking, FTW! XD
yeah, i ment beseen. ^^
you just don't get the rainbow floods like you did in the ol' days, nearly makes me nostalgic.
Ah, good ol' Psycho's Sonic Chat and the rainbow colored text floods it had. Good times, good times.
i wish i could remember the name of the flooder i managed to talk out of flooding and into RPing by being persitantly annoying.
he didn't rp that amasingly, but it was better then the floods. >> i felt kinda pleased i managed to help out with that.
what was your character there? i be forgetting. o-o
I was Miles_Tails_Prower, and I'm still amazed I got that name. XD
gah, it was barely any time ago and i'm already forgetting the people that used to go there.. ^x; (unless i keep in random contact with 'em)
There's just no escaping this board. Everybody comes back. I'm glad that you said exactly what I was thinking, Ergon. I'm also glad to see that Zifei still lives.
Probably no one remembers me, but I used to be Jet back when the board was shiny and new (1998-ish). I pretty much only remember Ergon, Zifei, Tony, his sister, WB, Brian, Crimson Kitty, and Vector. Egads, I'm ancient. But us oldies gotta stick together in the MoFo retirement community.
lol, Welcome back!
I love it when people older than me show up. Makes me feel like a youngun. :3
~Tobe
This thread should be placed with the archives: Not since creation of this board have we seen the creators in one little topic.

Me too
I remember you, Jet Rose - even if you don't remember me. 🙂
I'm sitting here reading this and kinda laughing out loud. Merely because while its groundbreaking for the newer wave of forumers...its comforting for the old forumers.....and the excitement level peaks at weird points in the thread.
:o. Yeah, I feel like a uber young'n too But funny, putting actual communication to names we hear time and time again.
Ok I'm done. Someone hit Zifei with a pie already. Yeah-I just said it-blasphemy yes but someone had to say it n_n.
What kind of pie?
Sorry I forgots you, Samanfur. I'm trying to pull the last threads of my memory back together.
I pop by every so often and probably wouldn't have posted anything if Ergon hadn't (I tend to follow him about). This new board scares me; it's all new and huge and so many peoples are here. I just remember back when it was like 20-25 people and we were all super-close, meeting up for Comic-cons and such.
But if my old-@$$ self can make people feel better about themselves, I've done my part.
i don't feel very scary. *prods herself* o.o
*offers the uber-oldies some cookies* tell me, did you get newbie welcomers in your days? ^^ are your shoelaces still intact?

The UK contingent're still able to do that on their own now, since we have a smaller country to be spread over. We tend to have a fairly good turnout at the annual Bristol meet (which is in its fifth year as of this year - sixth if you count the year that it was just myself and CJ checking the con out, and nagging Craig until he joined us :)).
Don't recall the whole shoelace thing, but I was a Draino cookie test subject. (Maybe that's what happened to me...)
ah-hah! *pounces jetrose, removes their shoelaces, scurries away!* ^.^
