I prefer Firefox because it treats web designers more nicely and has loads of useful add-ons. <3 Now with the added diversity of IE6 vs. IE7, I was wondering what everyone else around here uses.

Firefox for browsing, IE7 for chat.

I used to use Firefox, but abandoned it during it's "Huge memory leak" period, started using Opera, and never looked back.

I still fire up Firefox occasionally, but it just feels a bit clunky after getting used to Opera.

There are still a couple of sites I have to use IE for, though. Grumble. 😛

I use Firefox. I use Internet Explorer for chat, though, seeing as FF doesn't like using Flash too much, but I run it within a Firefox tab where possible (IE Tab add on N_n). Running on IE7 - would have been six but my uncle stuck seven on when he formatted the computer and I couldn't be bothered to change it back. seven is laaaame.

I use Firefox for all my browsing needs, including the MoFo chat. I can't remember the last time I had to load up IE.

Firefox for browsing generally, IE7 for Yahoo Music, which won't run on anything other than IE.

Use Firefox at home for personal use. Use IE for chat, flash programs, and videos.

...And Safari when at uni.

IE because I do a lot of video editing/sharing. Its just easier than flipping back and forth between it and Firefox to browse.

IE6 because I don't like tabs and I'm used to it. Also FF takes a while to start up.

IE 7 for important things (like bills), Firefox for everything else.

Firefox for everything. It works well, is safer, and runs smoother.

I love Firefox because it's a lot safer than IE. I never have to use Ad-Aware anymore, I did last week for the first time in months and it didn't detect anything wrong. But when I was using IE, I'd basically have to use it every week because my computer was picking up all kinds of crap.

You know you can still use browsers like Firefox without using the tabs? With the increased security, I don't know why you wouldn't.

To be honest, I was a holdout with IE6 for a very long time. For one, I was very used to it. It was the same browser I had been using since the early 90's, and I'm a firm believer that familiarity can afford a person greater productivity than a so-called superior piece of software.

Which is the very reason I couldn't use IE7. They completely changed the interface to the point that there was no familiarity any more. For a while, I just stuck with IE6, until I finally gave into Firefox.

Why did I wait so long to get into Firefox? Because everyone who told me I should use it had such a bad attitidue. When someone says to me, "You should use Firefox because internet explorer ((Lewd metaphor involving fellatio," it just instantly makes me less inclined to use it.

I guess that makes me a contrary person, but I yam what I yam.

I'm not really sure what I am using! I have the AT&T+Yahoo! combo. So I guess I'm using a Yahoo! browser?

Well I chose Firefox because that's what I use the most.

Fire Fox rulez! Except on my computer I use Safari, because it's the default browser for a Mac iBook. 🙂

I use Firefox pretty much all the time, though I still have IE6 in case I need to go to one of those sites that don't let you acess with FF.

i'm using firefox, as IE seems to run seriously slooooow on this computer.

plus being able to adjust things like the address bar (IE won't let me, and takes up a lot of the window space) and tabbed browsing is great.. especially when i have a lot of IM windows open and taking up room on my taskbar.
