Watched Hulk again last night with my dad... He enjoyed it
I watched Futurama's Beast with a Billion Backs... It was okay, but not great. Bender's Big Score was much better imo.
I also got an hour and 20min into ET today. Watching for the first time in like 10 years with my little brother who has never seen it. He's enjoying it, and I'm kinda eh at it so far. Not bad but just not as good as I remember. I remember Sears used to sponsor its airing on Thanksgiving Day eons ago.
Fight Club. Yeah. G4's right, this movie does not suck.
Heck yea dude! Movie is great. As for me...I watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special earlier...guess it doesn't really count as a movie, but you know...
Saw Ironman again earlier this week, was pretty much as good as I remember it being, which isn't a bad thing at all.
X-Men 3 was the last one I watched, although I'm not entirely sure when. Hogfather doesn't count, because it is two TV movies. Still, loved Death - Ian Richardson had a wonderful voice. Amazingly, David Jason appeared slightly under-used, despite apparently heading the cast on the DVD cover. Do not ask me why. Albert doesn't come even close to being a particularly important character in this one. Now, Reaper Man, maybe...

Rico did it.
Why the hell is this here, other than s**ts and giggles? This topic is too long for a non-hybrid subforum. =
Anyhow, I saw a Pink Panther movie, not sure which one. The one with the "Rit of fealous jage!" line in it. T'was pretty funny, the gags were better than those in the nonstop Steve Martin slapstick remake, but there was more of them in the new one, so I felt like I was waiting for something funny to happen every few minutes.

That's kind of the point. ;P
Cross posting from the RE topic in Game Academy.
So, I ended up seeing RE: Degeneration online a couple days ago.
It was an okay movie, the airport section of the movie is far shorter than the trailers made it seem, and the middle forty minutes of movie is mostly exposition and character development for a female "S.R.T" tact force team member, who Leon thoroughly igonres Claire for the entire movie to talk with.
I wont spoil anything, but it gives some hints on the company involved in RE5 and we finally get one of the lingering things of RE2 dealt with, but in no detail and thusly entirely unsatisfying.
Oh... the British guy is voiced by Crispin Freeman. I love him.
...really there's not much to say about the film. It's just Resident Evil game movie, starring Leon and pretending Claire was a wuss who didn't pwn Umbrella in Code V.
Saw The Incredible Hulk again today, enjoyed it again.
I think I prefer it to Iron Man, as a story I just enjoy it more.
Watched Indiana Jones 4 again
I love that movie
Watched Rogue Assassin, with Jet Li and Jason Statham. I love them both <3
Just finished Dark Knight... time #4.
Daaaaamn. The ending still sends chills through my spine. Such a dramatic, powerful way to end it. I think too much emphisis is placed on Ledger's Joker, while Oldman's Gordon is sadly left behind.
So finally watched The Dark Knight. There wont be a superhero movie crafted like this for a long time. Awesome movie.
But one question:
'Tis the season to channel Scrooge, so The Muppet Christmas Carol was duly watched yesterday evening. Gonzo & Rizzo rock. "I am here to tell the story." "And I am here for the food."
Loads of the original dialogue and narration is kept from the original book, which is quite a feat, given that Bob Cratchitt is played by Kermit the Frog, the rats are chucked in as Scrooge's book keepers, there's Fozzywig's rubber chicken factory and Sam the Eagle is Scrooge's old school master. Michael Caine seems to be having a ball and there's the joy that is "Marley & Marley".
The DVD's interview of Brian Henson by Gonzo and Rizzo (the latter just hanging around waiting for Brian to buy them all dinner) is definitely also worth watching.
I think Mickey's Christmas Carol is due an airing tomorrow. Scrooge McDuck as Ebeneezer Scrooge? Inspired! Jiminy Cricket as the official Ghost of Christmas Past, Mickey as Cratchitt, the weasels digging graves, Peg-Leg Pete as the Ghost of Christmas Future, Donald as Scrooge's nephew (wonder where they got that idea from... ). Then there are the cameos - small characters from Robin Hood, Toad of Toad Hall whizzing past on a fire engine, Badger & Mole collecting for the poor, Chip 'n' Dale behaving themselves for a change, Huey, Dewey & Louie decorating the tree... Yep, I definitely need to watch that again. Even if the version I have is wrapped with Christmas at the House of Mouse and therefore is lacking the credits and that amazing theme tune "Oh what a merry Christmas Day..."

So finally watched The Dark Knight. There wont be a superhero movie crafted like this for a long time. Awesome movie.
But one question:
The sad thing is a third Batman film will fail, on the grounds that if Dark Knight is as high as you can go, you can only go down from there. It's true, look at Spiderman! X-men! High School Musical 3 lolololol!
So i rewatched Sunshine last night. I love movies where you've got some people on a space mission and one of them goes crazy and starts killing everyone else. Some would say the third act ruins it by introducing bizarro superman into the story, but i think it saves it from being forgetable. And what's not to love about gold plated space suits? Space pimps!
So. I watched Big Fish again, first time in about a year, making it my third viewing.
This movie is a masterpiece, it has all the heart and spirit of Forest Gump without the depressing morales and darkness. It's sincerely uplifting, enchanting, well written and tear-jerking in the good way, in the "Father/Son" way you only get from Frequency and Field of Dreams.
I just love fantasy movies which are unembarrased about themselves. Sometimes there's a lot of exposition or build-up in a fantasy setting which kind of try to make it seem "real" or true to it's universe, and I adore that, I love that... but something about the way movies like this and say Princess Bride present these imaginative concepts is just so pure and wonderful to me.
Fantasy just works best when it is. With Star Wars people accepted The Force perfectly until they added that Midichlorian explination, then people rejected it. *Shrug* I don't get why things are that way, but when things like The Witch's origin are dealt with, or the finale of the movie, so just roll with it and it kind of brings a smile to your face.
I really really enjoyed it and it was a good day to rewatch. I'm seriously considering re-evaluating my favorite films of all time and putting this near the top.
Such a beautiful movie.
Watched Spider-Man...the other day. My gosh...I will never forget my initial reaction to this movie. Flawless! My gosh! First superhero movie to totally capture me...I left that theater believing there could really be a SM out there.
Watched P.S. I Love You tonight with my mom. third time seeing it ad I still tear up/cry at the same scenes. Movie is incredible. Need to buy it someday.
Some I've watched on TV recently are:
CB4 - a rap "mockumentary" starring Chris Rock that heavily parodied NWA. I found it amusing a couple ex-NWA members, Eazy-E and Ice Cube, had cameos in the beginning.
Tinker Bell - This is actually a good movie. A lot better than I thought it would be. o__O Well, I'm glad John Lasetter rescued it. The voice Rob Paulson used for Bobble is almost identical to his voice for Antoine!
And just today, I watched Sleeping Beauty on DVD. Digital restoration does wonders! I was in awe at how beautiful the movie is! I actually cringed when she pricked her finger, too.
EDIT: Just finished watching Short Circuit 2, which I haven't seen a long time. I got the DVD for $7.99 at CVS. X) Johnny 5 is alive!
I went out and saw The Day The Earth Stood Still
Ehhhhhhhhh......... It wasn't terrible. Keanu Reeves plays himself yet again.
To my ever-lasting shame, the last movie I saw (nearly) all the way through was Herbie: Fully Loaded. What can I say, BBC3 were showing at 9.45pm for reasons best known to the schedulers and I sort of fell in while Herbie was doing his Bumblebee impressions. What can I say, I'm a sucker for cars with personality, whether they be KITT, the Gadgetmobile, Bumblebee or Herbie... It was a nice touch to have the original Herbie theme in there at one point - in fact, the soundtrack was quite good generally. I spent 10 minutes wondering who LiLo's dad was without the moustache, until a friend online took pity on me and informed me it was Michael "Batman" Keaton.
I also caught about half an hour of V for Vendetta before tearing myself away and going to bed.
Before all of this, I watched the original edition Empire Strikes Back. I've only owned the DVD for about 2 or 3 years before taking it out of its shrink-wrap. The problem is I know the movies far too well. But having taken the plunge, I think it's Jedi tonight - I really enjoyed all the old quotes that I remember so well. Han Solo clearly gets all the best lines, although Yoda is a close second.

Watched two Batman films yesterday.
The first was Mask of the Phantasm, which I got for my little brother for Christmas, who I watched it with. Loved it, it shows its ages but still a good movie.
Second was the Dark Knight which I watched with my oldest little brother. loved it.
Went and saw Yes Man. It's not the best thing I've ever seen Jim Carrey in, but it's not the worst either and it made me laugh a good few times. All in all, worth watching I'd say =3
Just got done watching "What Happens In Vegas" with the parents. Hahaha didn't think it would be that good, but boy was it. I'd definitely say worth a rent, for sure.
Saw The Spirit last night. It was at most a 2 out of 4 star movie. It wasn't horrible, but the previews billed it as something it wasn't. Samuel L Jackson had some pretty odd lines though, lol. He doesn't like egg on his face...
Oh, also managed to watch The Tale of Despereaux with my siblings a week ago... yeah, pretty bad. It was really slow. My sister also said it wasn't at all like the book.
I have a hell of a back log of movies to watch over break... Unrated version of Tropic Thunder, the silent film era Metropolis, Bender's Game, Hellboy 2, Burn After Reading, Hamlet 2, Animal House, Horton Hears a Who, and Ghost Town. That plus Heroes S2 (almost done with Season 1 ), Firefly (which I plan on introducing to my parents... I think my dad will like it), and possibly the LotR trilogy... daaamn, I need more time.
I just saw Marley and Me. Any body who loves their dog must see this.

Fixed.
I'm planning on watching ElizabethTown tonight. One of my friends has been on my case for like a year or so about watching it and finally got it in from Netflix so I'm pretty exicted.
Elizabethtown's Freebird scene is effing metal, but the movie underwhelmed me and tasted like a poor man's Garden State.
I last saw Wall-E. Oh my goodness, that was an unbelievably great movie. Trish and I watched it curled up together "AWWWW!"ing every few minutes and when we were done drove to her parent's place to watch it with them and see if her mom would cry during the ending.
Soooo beautiful.
A poor man's Garden State. Hahaa, nice. I love Garden State so I can handle that. Not to mention Kirsten Dunst.
Just finished Spider-man 3. It's the first time I've seen it, I had reservations about doing so after all the mediocre reviews and Craig assurance as a Spidey fan that it was crap.
And it pretty much was. It wasn't flat out bad but was definitely bland and boring. I think that what it did it executed pretty okay (bar the dreadful emo Peter scenes) but I still don't think Venom or Sandman were suitable villains for the movie. On the one hand it need someone a bit more popular and prominent than Sandman and whilst yes, Venom fit the role, I hate Venom with a fiery all-encompassing passion.
Overall, Spider-man 1 was dreadfully $+@#, Spider-man 2 was pretty much decent, and Spider-man 3 just left me feeling meh.
Most recent film watched was Chocolate, a Thai martial arts movie by the same director of Tony Jaa's movies.
The film is about a young autistic girl called Zen who, despite her mental handicap, has incredible reflexes and senses. She learns martial arts by watching Tony Jaa and Bruce Lee movies as well as watching the students practicing at a Muay Thai academy next door to her home. She's also the daughter of a Yakuza man named Masashi, and her Thai mother, Zin, who used to be in a Thai gang, which has a number of strange characters, she left when she chose her love over her gang, despite this she asks Masashi to return to Japan soon after, but before she finds she's pregnant with Zen.
The story sees Zen and her best friend Moom working to get money for her mother's medicine and hospital treatment, at as street performers displaying Zen's talent by catching balls thrown at her from any direction at any speed. Eventually the two learn of Zin's old debts owed to her, or rather, the gang she was once part of. This leads them to track them down and demand the money. Of course, they disagree, and that's where the fun begins.
The story feels more like a set up for the action rather than something that has action, which could be argued about all of the director's films I've seen. The action is incredible as always, less brutal than Tony Jaa, but definitely as agile, if not more so. Stunt kung fu with no wires or special effects, the Jackie Chan way, give a real sense of momentum to the fights, and realism that made me cringe at some of the fight scenes.
All in all, I'd say this is almost as good as the Warrior King, but fails mainly because it seems to try to hard with the story without achieving much in the way of emotional connections, although the scenes do try.
Definitely for fans of Martial Arts movies.
Edit: corrected the names as I messed them all up royally.
Saw Kung-Fu Panda with Trish and her family the other night. Very amusing, and the Samurai Jack style 2d sequence was amazing. Sparring for Angelina Jolie's unmemorable voice, the entire cast was spectacular. Fight scenes were epic, comedy was fairly solid.
Great movie.
Buuuut....
It annoyed me that Po just happened to be good by luck, rather than knowledge or talent. He knew like every thing a person could know about Kung-fu, he should have been able to use his superior knowledge to win, rather than the hunger = badass thing.
Ah well. I hope it becomes a franchise. If Madagascar can get a sequel, this one deserves 5.
But Madagascar II was gold Craig!
Umm Benjamin Button:
Fantastic. See, I'm a Brat Pitt hater. To the end. Sorry, just how I am. But after watching this movie, I had to stick my thumb in my mouth and suck it. It was a fun story, whimsically comical at times, but it was really endearing, and it will give you a perspective on how to view the value of your life-from start to end, no matter how strange it may be. I definitely took something home from it. Only gripe-it felt a twinge long-but right when you feel that lengthy part-they grab you with a twist and it suffices for the rest of the movie.
I appreciate that the movie took itself serious enough-but didn't weigh you down all the way with all of life's problems. Though the Brad Pitt=Perfect complex was made fun of in this, and I appreciated that. Alot.

Heck yea I love the Tony Jaa movies. Apparently they're doing a third one. But yea I forgot to say how I liked Elizabethtown. I found awesome. I loved it. Maybe even more than Garden State actually. Which is weird because Natalie Portman...is like my woman. Oh and I went to Target and bought Can't Buy Me Love[i've seen it on TV so why not..it's 80s and I like it] and The Sure Thing[John Cusack + 80s = golden]. Some friends and I watched The Sure Thing. Effing rocked. Love that movie!
Kitty already mentioned the first time I saw Wall-E.
We watched it again this afternoon, this time accompanied by one of our roommates. I told myself I wouldn't cry this time, but.... but at the end.... when she was.... ;__; she was humming! I-I couldn't help myself. I broke.
We also watched the animated short "BURN-E" (which was adorable and sad in a humorous way), as well as the deleted scenes this time around, and apparently the last fifteen minutes or so were supposed to be completely different o_o Like, from the garbage disposal on, they completely switched Wall-E and Eva's roles. It was a very interesting switch, and 100% animated - which is something I'm not used to in a Pixar deleted scene 8D - so it was thought provoking and still eye-catching, which made it totally awesome.

I saw "There's Something About Mary" with Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz. It was pretty stupid.
I had a South Park fangirl time the other night and watched Cannibal! The Musical for the very first time. <3 <3 The guys made that movie when they were still in college, and Trey even got kicked out for skipping too many classes to film it.
LET'S BUILD A SNOWMAN!!
Watched The Spirit a few hours ago and feel rather sick now, though probably more due to the popcorn rather than Frank Miller's...though it would surprise me.
The movie's dull, visually awesome, but every scene and piece of dialogue goes on waaaay too long, especially the soliloquies. The acting's hammy, there;s some funny moments, but nothing about it really makes any sense.
Also, Frank Miller still can't write rolls for women, every woman is the object of The Spirit's sexual desire, and those who show any sign of dislike of this seem to show otherwise afterwards.
Also The Spirit has healing powers now, go figure.

Ditto for me, and I also watched the Pixar Story that was included with the DVD. At times it was boring, but most of the time it was interesting to see how hard Pixar had to work to make 3-D animated movies.
A watched this a week ago, but my dad was watching Apollo 11 (or is it 13? My memory is terrible) and I thought it was amazing. Any movie where you seriously don't know if the heroes will make it is a good movie in my book.
Saw Eagle Eye with Shia LeBeof. Great movie, very exciting. Kinda makes you paranoid about all the tech that surrounds us. And good ol' GLaDOS stars as ARIA. =P

Uhhhh...
you were really wondering if the Apollo 13 guys would live to the end of the movie?
really?
Ah well. I hope it becomes a franchise. If Madagascar can get a sequel, this one deserves 5.
If Katzenburg has his way, there will be. =) I dunno about 5, but a Kung-Fu Panda 2 has been green-lit.
But Madagascar II was gold Craig!
IMO: It was much better than the first!
Newsflash : Madagascar 3 comes summer 2012.
Well, the last movies I saw were:
Enchanted - 2D Disney!!!!! 2D Disney!!!! Now to wait for Princess and the Frog, coming this year!! The fairy-tale plot of this movie was a combination between Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. I could hear a hint of the song "Beauty and the Beast" at one point in the movie, and confirmed this in the end credits. "Part of Your World" was in there, too, but I didn't catch it. In scene, there's a place called "Bella Notte" in plain view. "Bella Notte" is also the name of the song played during the spaghetti scene in Lady and the Tramp.
Futurama: Bender's Game - my favorite of the Futurama movies so far! I think the next (and last) one comes out next month. Then, the fate of the series is up to Comedy Central.

I know it's stupid, but it was one of those times where you are just way to involved in a movie that is borders on unhealthy. And in my defence, I've heard of many space missions failing miserably, I wasn't sure if this was one of them. I was sure the movie was going to end with the men dying and everybody else being really sad.
But yeah, it was stupid. You have full permission to make fun of me.

I saw Slumdog Millionaire. It was kinda weird seeing a movie based around Who Wants to be a Millionaire, but very enjoyable regardless. I love Danny Boyle, The Beach is one of my favourite movies. Slumdog isnt as instantly rewatchable as his others, but it has left an impression on me like all of Boyle's films do.
Watched Undercover Brother earlier on ITV, I have to say it was surprisingly funny and definitely worth picking up the DVD. It takes both black and white stereotypes and runs with it, taking the piss out of them throughout, and is a hell of a lot of fun too, plus James Brown has a cameo!
Glad this one's getting a sequel.
Watched Bedtime Stories with the family yesterday... It was pretty awesome . Sandler did a great job switching from his normal adult humor to stuff that even the pickiest of people can find funny.
I saw Mars Attacks yesterday, which was pretty hilarious. I also saw Ahhnold's The 6th Day, about cloning and such, which was decent, but not that good.
Well I saw The Red House a few weeks ago. There are no words for how awesome this movie is. It's just crazy awesome.
You must buy this movie! Here's the link - its only $8
I mostly posted this so you guys could find an awesome overlooked movie. Trust me, it is very good.
