Ratatuille. I doubt I spelled that right (I swear there's an "o" somewhere), but the movie delivers in story, characters, and beautiful animations. It's any wonder I have such high respect for Brad Bird (and Pixar).
I also saw Ratatouille. Awesome Pixar movie as always. The only gripe I have is I waited through the credits but there was no bonus scene at the end =. I nearly pissed my pants for nothing.
Although the credit animation was amazing as well.
Just this second finished watching Survive Style 5+.
The most crack induced movie I've seen in a very long long time, it's glorious. Made by a Japapanese commercial director who seems to be obsessed with Western film/music, it's a pulp fiction tale of 5 crazy subplots.
Worth it purely for the climax.
Oh and Vinnie Jones is in it as a raging cockney hitman.

Last night I saw Order of the Phoenix. It was good, not fleshed out enough but not ruined either.
Currently watching Transformers The Movie (1986) for the 5th time this week.
I am seriously growing obsessed with this movie... I've always loved it since I was very young, but now I keep watching it, I'm starting to believe it's near perfect.
The soundtrack is what really makes me geek out... for an 80'stastic synth soundtrack (I normally like them anyway) it's perfect... you really have to watch the movie focusing on the soundtrack rather than action or dialogue to appreciate it... the times the Autobot/Decepticon themes start up, the different moods for battle themes based on who has the advantage or screen time.

I was surprised by it's awesomeness. Not better than Transformers, but still quite awesome.
Watched Blood Diamond again. It's the only one of those African guilt trip films I've seen that I like, mainly because of the performances... and Leo's amusing accent, eh bro? Oh and Jennifer Connelly was quite hot in this one.

Just saw Chuck and Larry... It was funny. Not side bursting laughter, but a decent film none the less. 3 out of 5 stars.
I liked it, but wouldn't go to watch it again.
Bridge to Terabithia. Ah, I forgot how utterly depressing the end of the book was, but at least I felt somewhat better at the end of the movie than I did with Forrest Gump.

Just watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for the first time on HBO last night. The night before, Little Miss Sunshine. I loved the latter, and the ending cracked me up.
I saw Transformers.
Well, what they called Transformers, anyway. I think I would have liked the movie a lot more if the humans were about 50% less prominent (and the girl's boobs were about 50% more prominent). By the time the movie actually got around to giant robots smashing each other I was past the point of caring. Annoying humans are annoying, and no, no amount of that girl is going to change that.
Also the cameraman apparently has Parkinson's because the action scenes are never in focus or steady. Ever.
Just watched the first Fantastic Four movie and it was great. My family and I are going to watch the sequel tomorrow if a local aquarium is too high.
Dad and I watched Final Destination 3 together, laughing and riffing all the way through.
We laughed so hard when the engine smashed Duckie-Clone in the head.
Good times.

Just got back from watching Transformers and I really liked it. Though I still have my complaints about the designs they work really well in action. Megatron is a badass, as is Prime.
And yes, there are too many humans doing what humans do, but it was still entertaining.
Saw Order of the Phoenix last weekend.
With the films stubbornly clinging to a sub two hour format, I'm dreading the next couple.
With the amount of plot and characterisation that's had to be cut out of the last few to fit, I'm starting to look at the films as a series of dramatisations of various scenes from the book, rather than a coherent narrative.
Just got back from The Simpsons Movie.
...it was SCOOTERING AWESOME!
It was just priceless when much of the audience cheered the title intro.
The Chipmunks trailer coming before it was actually quite hilarious. I heard one guy yell "OH MY GOD!" during it, and afterwards a guy on the other side of the theatre yelled, "I WANNA SEE THAT!"
Watched Zodiac last night, kinda disappointed. Too much going on and in the end not much payoff. That's what I get for watching a film about a killer who they never capture. Lesson learnt.
Finally going to watch TMNT next.
Saw Transformers last night, it's very hard to explain my feelings for it. In the cinema I was cheering and clapping more than almost anyone else, especially at the Energon Axe (sword in movie, probably for the toy), Megatron Mace, movie quotes and Starscream.
But, but, but...
Can a movie having freaking awesome effects wise make up for the fact that it was the most gender confused movie I've seen in months. It was a comedy, teen romance, army movie, disaster flick, action movie.
All with a bad script.

My personal gripe is that everything was from the humans perspective. Ok... so I can forgive the movie being about humans, whatever. I can accept their interpretation of the mythos, I walked in expecting that.
What I cannot accept is that every fight scene is from the human perspective. Which means every fight scene between the two giant robots is from a kid running away. Shaky camera and you only get to see the start and never the climax or finish.
It starts well with the first 45 minutes being robots versus humans. So they need to capture the action, a little.
Once it's robot-robot, everything is shaky and horrible. There are only 3 exceptions to this rule. Escape chase (humans inside veichle), highway fight (no humans), F22 battle (all humans in veichles).
The movie missed the point. It had a bad script... and damn it, Starscream and Jazz, my two favourites got 3 lines max.
Stupid fat high school hacker kid who was in the movie for NO DAMNED REASON got a ton of lines.
The PET DOG got more screentime than the two combined.
In what universe are we in where a pet dog can get more screen time and acknowledgement than Prime's top luitenant and fan favourite, and get called amazing.
I thought this was the best film ever when walking out the cinema, but the magic wore off, fast.
Just watched Young Frankenstein for the first time (yes, I know, it is sad).
Mel Brooks is a genius.
The Last King of Scotland. Good movie. Whittaker does a good job of bringing Idi Amim to film.

Indeed, Craig human perspective was to our disadvantage, but hey it's however Mr. Bay wants it. I've heard the "sequel" may take place somewhere else or something and there could be more room for the robot fighting, etc. Well atleast now you'd know what it would look like if giant robots were fighting in your town. Anyway...watched "Say Anything..." last night, definetly one of my all-time favs.
I woke up at 3 in the morning, in which Batman & Robin came on Encore a couple of hours later. Funny thing is that I saw this movie in theatres exactly 10 years ago and loved it. I was on my way to the 3rd grade then, so I didn't know any better. Uma Thurman is always a reason why I'll watch it again and again. =D
And to my luck, 10 minutes before Batman & Robin ended, Batman Begins came on HBO. Love it every time I watch it, and it makes me painfully excited for The Dark Knight next year.
The Batman Begins disc died. Around scene 25. =( Was just getting into it, And poof, Unable to read disc.
Saw a little bit of the Scarecrow. He was cool.
The last movie I've seen was American History X when it was on TV one day when I had absolutely nothing to do. I'd been meaning to see it for a while, and I'm glad I finally got around to it, as it was quite good.
Just watched Incredibles again with the siblings... Gods is that a great movie! THAT WAS TOTALLY WICKED!
I've got Fargo waiting in the queue, which will probably be followed by Scrubs Season 4, disc 3 (my copy died on "My Lips Are Sealed" so I'll have to borrow it from my buddy) and Scurbs Season 5.
Best Buy has a Bourne Identity pack with both movies, a third disc and $$$ for Ultimatum for $15, so I'll be picking that up as well.
Hitch. Man oh man. After watching that movie I always feel so refreshed. That movie did afterall break me out of my shyness...somewhat. Great, great movie.
Watched Star Wars Episode 2 for the first time in two years. It hasn't aged very well, the battles just aren't that great in retrospect compared to Revenge of the Sith. I remember seeing that big jedi battle on Geonosis for the first time and being all fanboy-ish thinking it was the coolest thing ever, but now it's completely underwhelming. If it wasn't for John Williams score I probably wouldn't have made it through the entire way.
It was a good enough movie in 2002, but nowadays even low budget movies can do that stuff. =P
the last movie i saw in theatres was Order of the Pheonix..it was okay, i guess. but something about was just...meh. parts that made me cry in the book didn't affect me at all in the movie.
and last movie in general that i saw...i think was Rush Hour.
Gosh...watched Click for the 2nd time at a friend's house. That movie really has some tear jerking moments, for me[and my friends] atleast. Wow...and you'd think it would be nothing but a slpstick laughfest. No, no my friend. Splendid. Really.
oh my gosh, yea click was incredibly sad.. i started crying at one part and my friend was like "dude is this an adam sandler movie?" 😛
