This a beautifully awesome marriage of man and machine. Although I can't help but wonder the potential non-military applications of this technology. The voice-over made use of the word "superhero"; certainly the increased lifting power would be useful in, for example, extracting people from wreckages and piles of rubble. I'm sure someone with more imagination could think of even more ways to utilise this thing's abilities. Maybe in time we'll see emergency services keeping a few of these things around as well as just the military. I also have to wonder if there are any potential medical applications. The method of control and limited dexterity seem to preclude it being used as limb replacements, but medical conditions are sufficiently diverse that there's somewhere this technology could be applied.
Not to mention construction applications. How many tons of equipment could having a couple of these things on the job site replace? They may end up having a fairly hefty price tag, but when you add up the costs of transporting, storing, and powering potentially replaceable equipment, they'll probably pay for themselves after just a few jobs.
Reminds me of those mech suits they have in the matrix. Actually... duh
