The first time I came here was in the first week I ever had a computer. I would have been here much sooner if I had gotten one earlier I believe. ^.^ And I keep around here because I like it here, everything, the people, the discussions, the somewhat highly questionable things people say. O_o And I'll keep being here for as long as I can.

The people I remember most would have to be the people that are or somewhat still around. O.o Lee, HSW, Cooki, Lilix, Nuchtos, Raijuu, Cj, Dr L, Vec, True Red, WB, Astrid, James etc (in no specific order besides random). The argument I remember most would have to be that massive religious one that ended up in Eastwood's ban, or the whole series of Pachuka things. I remember the Sailor Luna theme the most, my eyes still have scar tissue.
I don't think one specific person has impacted me any more than the other... but if it wasn't for this place I'd have no idea that "Hot Sexual Pudding" was such a fun thing to say. N.N
A person I do remember that isn't here anymore would have to be Blippp, because his impending paranoia of doom was just too funny. ^.^

I want the HQ to keep doing whatever the heck it has been doing (I can't tell) to make this place so great, and technically my future is affected because I'll be spending lots of time here. o.o
Well, as someone who joined over the summer, I discovered the board via a friend, and decided to stick around to see what it was like.
As far as I'm concerned, the board is a meeting place for a fairly diverse group of people who are all reasonably comfortable interacting with each other, but who all have their opinions and generally aren't afraid to voice them
I generally remember the people who post more frequently in the Marble Garden, but also recognise quite a few of the more established members in MFC
As for the future, I would generally suggest keep up with the good work. The board is still a healthy, friendly community, and that's pretty much all it needs to be to keep people posting.

I was looking for something on Sonic the Hedgehog (Can't remember what exactly) and I got intrested in the website. I visted it from time to time and eventually deciede to join the forums here late May '03, and I plan on staying. And I've stayed because I like everything about this place, the atmosphere is nice, the people are my kind of people, and the humour is...well, y'know...unique. 😛

Mostly what I said above, the whole atmosphere is commendable, everybody has a personality, and a bit of individuality that I've yet to find anywhere else on the 'net.

The people really make this forum, the people I probably remember the most are those that are usually in the chat when I am...THS, HSW, Acrio, Nuchtos, SS, Lighthead, Cj...There's too many to list.
Most memorable events?...The 2003 board hack I remember rather well, watching the whole Sonic X thing unravel was kinda cool, the fangirl phenomenon was scary, the Live Nude revival as well...Good times (Sort of. o.o)

Well, as far as people i remember the most, its not hard. I think Rico is definetly my closest friend on the forum, after all, him and Dr. Lighthead ive had the pleasure to meet in person. Yeah, Dr. L is also a cool guy, love doing the Fexusfan thing with him when i do actually help. Other than that, the people i can easly recall and respect are James Crownfur, MoKat, Lilix, Stumbleina and everyone else i see around the Deviant Art pages. you guys all rock.

I don't know when the first time I came here was, because I used to visit the site and read the hoaxes. I first came to the forum in February 2002 because CyKairus told me to.

I can't exactly remember when i came here. I believe it was Summer 2001/2002, and i just stuck around in the Sonic the Comic forum. As time passed, i started checking out the other forums, and posting appropiately. I've been sticking around, because it's one of the few forums where i feel i can talk amongst like minded fans. And i like to think i've made some friends here, though i still feel like a 'background' forumer at times.

I would say it's the people definitely. On 99% of forums, you try to come up with a coherent conversation, with many replies saying "F*** off u lam3R" or something similar. The topics on hand fall on something that can be analysed and commented on without fear of the above comment happening, and at the same time, have fun.

I would have to give a special mention to Very Crazy Penguin, because he was kind enough to give me the Sonic Summer Special '95. It was the last one i needed (i owned all 223 issues and the specials), and i was very very grateful for it. I even offered to pay him for his troubles, but as i'm unfamiliar with PayPal, i'm afraid i couldn't do it. Other ones i remember are Craig Bayfield and Samanfur because they always are kind enough to reply to many of the stuff i write. Actually Craig has gotten me into Rush a little. I've only heard Natural Science, but i plan to get the albums soon! I do remember the A-Team theme pretty well

As I recall I lurked for quite some time, not sure how long... But as I remember one of Reave hissyfits ticked off quite a few of us and we moved to SHQ. Unfortunately most of these idiots were just fickle and looking to "get back" at Reave. So once they saw he didn't give a crap if they left, they left here. I, being not as flighty, stayed on both boards. I recall that not long after I made mod on Artail. And of course, a few weeks later was made mod here.

Good god thats a long list... Theme "weeks" scare me. Top people I remember and will remember from here? Well of course Fexus, I don't allow many people to visit me. Even fewer can actually do it. He managed both the requirements. On top of that he's probably the only person I've EVER seen my little cuz talk to that he didn't know already. But trying to get that coonboy to come back down here just gets harder and harder, I think we scared him.
The other good friends I managed to keep here? There are ton's... Cj, James, Sam, Red... I don't wanna list them since I know I'll forget someone. And it would suck to be left out. I think most of the people I would list know I would. It's probably a good 50 people or so.

I have been checking on Sonic HQ since summer 2000 when I got my DC hooked up to the internet, I must've just found the site through Yahoo or Excite and I've been checking up on it ever since. I think the reason I stick around is because I have always consider it to be one of the top Sonic sites (along side Sonic Stadium and, up until the start of 2003, Soic Foundation). I still think it's great, and as long as there's Sonic I have no reason to stop

In my opinion, the Mobius Forum is the best place I've been to online, I love the place for lots of reasons, such as how the people in charge play things out fair and friendly, and make sure everyone can be happy so long as they are not causing trouble, a firm yet fair system . I also love the community, no one here is forced into groups, everyone seems welcome to anywhere and are treated with respect (mostly :P). I think the best thing about the MoFo is how it is not just a place for Sonic fans or Gamers, there's a place for everyone, even for aspiring artists, writers and programmers, even the more political among us can express there opinions here, which is more than a lot of other forums seem to cater for.

Well, I always love reading and participating in heated debate, and in the year that I've been here, I've been in a fair few, however, I don't always leave with the same opinion, my mind has changed thanks to other forumers here like Craig Bayfield, Cycle, Eon, Harley, Rico and even Jimro once or twice, they've all made me think a lot more than I usually would, especially on political matters, and I think I've become a lot smarter thanks to them. So I thank them for that. I'm also glad most people here have a silly side as well, the SPA has always been a fun place for me, and even quite relaxing.

Goodness, I can't remember exactly when I joined. I believe it was some time in 2002. I joined around the time my parents finally allowed me to join message boards. I can honestly say that I don't regret it.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head would be Vortex. I always get a kick out of his scromics. The guy's a genius when it comes to humor (ie. "Catch the quarter!").
The theme I remember best would have to be the Mr. T theme. I loved the buttons and the imitations people were doing.
Ultimately though, what I enjoy most about the people here is the acceptance. People here don't care what religion you are or what you believe so long as you don't try to force it on them. I've met people here whose beliefs are much different from my own and I feel I have learned a lot from them.

I came to this little place in the June time of 2001. It was during my college years, one of the times of my life I don't like to remember, due to how it made me as a person into someone I didnt like. I wont go into all the details, you dont want to or need to know. I only really got into Sonic after my brother bought a Dream Cast. I had always been a Tails fan and so, after seeing Tails in action, a hunt led me to find SatAM episodes and thus, my entrance into the MF.

September 2000, I was new to the online world and like a lost kid, I eventually found the STC E-Zine run by Ed and Zac and made my way to their Egroup, where I met a few colourful characters including a certain Samanfur the Fox. Apparently at about November the Special Zone was openned here and Sam sent an open invite to everyone, I came over and WOAH! it was huge, I was like small in a big new world. So I hung around for a month watching things and made my first proper post on the second of Janurary 2001.
What kept me sticking around? At first I didn't know, I was too scared and confused back then to venture far out of the Special Zone, I ended up in South Island a few times due to Sonic Adventure 2's release, my extreme ignorance of Archie was keeping me in a constant state of "what are they talking about? Who the hell is Solar Sonic?!" and of course I started realising how wrong Fleetway was and how the real continuity was starting to shape up.
I think it must have been late 2001 when I finally started getting around, Roleplay Guild, MFC and the Games Room (I LOVED THAT PLACE!), I didn't overly enjoy Sandopolis Zone (now SPA). I was dragged offline for practically the entire of 2002, and since I've got back I can count the number of days I've spent less than 3 hours on this site, and you'd be suprised that none of them are Christmas or birthdays

It's home. It always has been, I can't remember a day (before my compie exploded) that I didn't wake up and sign on to the MoFo, nor a night when I didn't go to sleep shutting it down. This place is my life, moreso than my real one, alot of people here I don't regard as my "online friends" but my friends, full stop. When I do Christmas shopping, I only buy for those people, when I plan to meet up with a bunch of good friends, it's always them.
I dunno, this is just the community I've come to live in and I like it, sure there have been lots of ups and downs, but what doesn't have them. I love it here and never ever want to leave

Samanfur, my best friend and the possibly the person who's made the biggest impact on my life just by existing, it's hard to explain, but I really care about her and value her friendship more than anything in the world.
CJ, a good pal who has always been a good laugh and someone I get on with and can chat to at any time, he's just awesome, caring and makes anyone feel happy by just typing *hug*
Xag and SilverShadow also deserve big shout-outs for just being wonderful people, everytime I see them.
Also, of course, everyone else I've met in reality, I'm not forgetting you: Becca, Sparks, Tham, Arch, KotCR, Spon, Slacker, Jman, even Rockchick and Darkwing who aren't that established as MoFo Members. (I'm fairly sure that's everyone)
Oh, and the LEGENDARY Dubs, I didn't forget, I was saving him for last. Especially for the amount of hospitality and generosity he gave when I visited America (he let me in the VIP room ^___^ we played Poker, I got kicked out by a security guard!)

First Time: I believe it was... 1st March 2002 when I first dropped by South Island, having been randomly googling for Sonic sites. I liked the jokey atmosphere and load of convoluted plot theories and stayed around.
Eventually I plucked up the courgae to start posting in some other forums, and finally came to MF Central.
The Forum: To me, it's really three things.
Firstly, the nicest, best-run web community I've found in my trawling of the internet, and therefore the one I didn't abandon.
Secondly, the place where I am actually able to keep up with quote a lot of news and events that might well otherwise escape me.
But thirdly, and most importantly, it's always been the chance to get to know people I have interests in common with, which is rather harder to do in real life.
The people:
Favourite theme's the easy one: the 2nd Metal Sonic theme. Obviously
People: Too many to name, but particularly all those I've met in RL: Craig, SilverShadow, Samanfur, Cj, Becca, Kotcr, Spon, Jman, Sparks and Slacker, as well as Cooki, Diana, Eon, Cycle, Srol, TR, SSS, and a lot of others.
Thamior, BFFG and Archonn, of course, as I introduced them to this place, and they've been my friends for many years.
Person with most impact? Hmmmm.... Craig I've had most contact with, and Sarah, who I can thank to inroducing me to an awful lot of things, but.... not sure. Not the sort of question I tend to ask myself.

Seriously, no idea. I like the place the way it is, though I do have faint dreams of a global RL forum meeting someday.
#1: K well. Whoa. I don't really remember when I first came here. Most likely it was due to a huge fascination of Sonic, and I was testing out my computer knowhow and what not as I surfed the web. Had to be late 2000 when I found this place-cause I remember being around in January 2001 and just reading...gobs and gobs of posts left and right, saturating my mind with what this place encumbered.
Still reading n_n. I stuck around because of my slight bibliomania and my interest in Rp's-seeing that this board had a successful RP section made me all giddy with anticipation. But now, its just basically the discussion that I like reading.
#2: You know Dr L, That's a good question. O.o I...honestly do not have a reason as to why I stick around. I just do, kinda like one of those staples in a wall that have no paper attached to them. It has no real purpose, but its there anyway cause you really don't see any need to take the energy to make it go away-they're just as part of the wall as the corkboard is.
The definition of the MoFo is merely that-the MoFo. It's just this place I enjoy coming too-because I somehow add to the insanity-and that's a plus.

Arguments: Most of the debates in 2002 that pertained to animals, religion and computer questions were great-also the creation of an olbie thread ruled..I don't think I've seen insanity like that since--well no, HSC was just as bad, if not worse XD. And well, not to start up again, but the Sonic/Sally/Amy/Mina Triangle arguments were hella funny.
Themes: O man >> Too many themes. Mr T definitly. Wasn't there a Cabbage Patch Theme? I think so, or maybe that was my wish for one-but that Barney one ... That should have been torn down the moment it went up. Scared the bejeezus out of me.
People: K see, I'm not really a people person, so everyone has their own way of making me consider thngs in a different light. Not saying no one impacted me, but I just appreciate everyone here for their own ways of doing such a feat.o.o

Like a lot of other people on the board, I found Sonic HQ through a web search, almost two years ago. (About the same time this account was created. :P) I was looking for Sonic game ROMs when SHQ came up as one of google's search results, and after a bit of surfing I found The Mobius Forum and signed up like a shot. I suppose I should call myself a lurker, I disappear from time to time, and even when I am here I only view the topics and don't post (I have a bad habit of killing topics and saying dumb things.) What keeps me coming back? ...I'll get back to you on that one. ^^;;
The Mobius Forum - We all say that this place is pretty special to us - but why do we say that? What makes the Forum special to you? The ability to adapt to any obstacle its been handed, the people, the humor? What is YOUR DEFINITION of the Mobius Forum and why does it hold a place in your heart?
At other boards I've been to, a lot of posts are just one word, "lol" or something, But here, most people will actually think about a thoughtful reply. If someone's having a rough time, everyone else will chip in and try and make the person feel better. It's been said before; this place is more of a family rather than a forum.
The People - What people do you remember the most? What arguments do you remember the most? What theme week do you remember the most? Of all of the people - both forumers and staffers - who do you feel is the person who has impacted you the most on this forum?
I suppose the people I remember best are the people I met at the Mofo meeting last September (I'm not going to make a list, you all know who you are ^^). The themes I remember best are the ones that burned holes in my retinas; the Amy 10th anniversary themes and the Sailor Moon one. c.c
And if I had to pick one person who's impacted me the most on this board, It'd have to be SilverShadow. I won't say why, but had I not come here to begin, I may have never met him iRL, (or at all! O.o) or even been able to go to last years' mofo meeting.

SHQ and the Mofo itself.... Don't change a thing. It's just right how it is.
As for SHQ affecting me... Well, being here has really opened doors for me. I've learned a thousand things (no exaggeration) I never knew before, I've met people like myself when before I thought I was a black sheep, I've even gotten interested in things I've not considered before.
Had I never discovered the Mofo... I would definitely not be where I am now. ^.^

I joined around February, 2004. This place is addictive. Everyone's all kind like, and nobody cares about how you look and stuff... This place is cool. Plus you guys aren't all "OMG that discusssion isnt a sonic discussion, kill it LOL 11!" There's plenty of room to branch out from the original discussion.

The forum is the only place where I can be an insane crazy person that gets capsulized, and turned into a chao.The Mobius Forum is awesome. It's like one big huggy group of people ^^ ...It is one group of huggy people ^^

I came here shortly before I signed up at the end of October, 2002/2003, I think (It's on my profile but I'm too lazy to check =P ). I came at the behest of XA, who was already a member. What really got me here was the Sonic Bloopers and Cookirini's Official Spam Topic, both of which had me suppressing giggles and guffaws in the computer room.
Why is it special to me? Well, for a start it's the first forum I ever joined, and I've met some good friends here, namely Craig, Silvershadow and, of course, the SPA-goers of 2004 (you know who you are =P )!
I suppose it's the SPA-goers who have had the biggest impact on me. Nega Vegeta, MoKat, GT, Tails Power, Slam, we were all pretty tight back then. As for themes, well, I suppose the Chibi-Sonic theme, really....I think 
I hope that, some day, the forum will finally move over to Eliteboard, and that more of us get to meet IRL (I'm going to Bristol this year even if it kills me!) The forum already has had a big enough impact on me. Without the forum there are friends I would never have met.

I came the day after my high school graduation (so my first visit was on June 27, 1999) as that was the first time I was allowed on the 'net to surf by myself at home. I went searching for Knuckles stuff. The people have kept me here. 😀

I'm not gonna list people because I'd be here for hours then. The arguments I remember the most would be the Post-2000 Pres Election ones as it was the only time I was ever told basically to "shut up" for taking over the board with political stuff.

The first time I came to SHQ was September 2002 or something like that. I heard of it in one of the letters in the back of the Archie sonic comic issue #116. The person in the letter said that they had a good encyclopedia of the comic characters, so since that was my first comic, (Which I didn't really understand a good amount of it.) so I decided to go to SHQ.
I actually don't know where I fit in this question. I've only been here for about two years or so, and I haven't been posting lately, so I guess something has to keep me coming back here. I think it's really the people here that keep me around. It's fun just to talk about certain things, and especially about SONIC, since no one I know in person like sonic, so it works out pretty good. It's also fun just to read posts since half of them are funny.

I think the MoFo is special to me since you can have a commonality with almost anyone here, The forumers are great people. All around I think it is the best place there is. There's so much humor, good skits, nice people, this forum literally has it all.

I have to say that almost everyone here brings a part to the MoFo but some people, like Craig, Cookirini, Chibibecca, Acrio, Lighthead, Vortex, Tornadot, (I forgot a ton of people, and you guys know who you are.) make a big difference, Actually everyone here makes a difference to the forum.

WORLD DOMINATION! No just kidding. I hope that this forum stays active and online as long as possible. Well, I think about things more than before I came here, and other ways that I can't recall right now.
Your First Time
First time I ever came to SHQ, was about 4 days after the Australian release of Sonic Adventure 2. I had just finished Last Side story, and was surfing the net for some cool images of Shadow and some mp3s of the tracks, like Throw It All Away.
The first site to come up on Google, was a site named sonichq.org. I clicked on it, and was impressed by the proffesionlism of the site. Then I noticed a link towards the bottom of the page. It lead right here. I came up with the name of HyperShadowHedgehog, as I thought Shadow was so bad-ass.
Soon, I noticed that a lot of people had more unique names rather than some blatant Shadow rip off, so I went back to my sketch books where I found an old concept sketch of a Sonic fan-character I created. I polished it up a bit, refined it design wise (Such as adding stripes and upward curving quills as a homage to Shadow), and began a new account that went by the name of GyserHog. Someone else already had Gyser... >>
The rest is history my friends.

Well, in about May 2002 I discovered Sonic HQ because I was looking for specific character bios for a friend of mine. I saw "community" and went "Hmm..." so I checked it out. About four months later, I actually got an account and began posting. ^^ One of the reasons I think I've stayed around so long is....like many people before have said, the general atmosphere is appealing, the people are great, the mods and admins make sure this place runs smoothly without being too incredibly overbearing. ^^

Since none of you people know me, I see this as an excellent opportunity to introduce myself.
1. My First Time-I first visited Sonic HQ last March, when I was looking for a Sonic site on Google. I got interested in Sonic HQ and decided to check out the forums. At first I only visited South Island Forum, but eventually I decided to visit the rest of the site. I never posted because I never had anything to say, and if I did, I was too shy to say it. But I kept coming back because of all the humor and intelligence this site has.
2. My definition of the Mobius Forum-One of the few message boards available where people can have a meaningful conversation without swearing or posting like idiots.
3. People I remember the most:
Craig and Shadow Hog, because they always had something to say, whether it be smart, funny, or just plain weird (LBT, I'm looking at you),
Cookirini and Shadow Lady, because of their sheer insanity and humor,
TheCycle, because of his excellent debating skills, and because he was pretty much a cool guy in general,
VCP, because of his funny smartass comments ("That's a condom advertisement waiting to happen."),
and many others I forgot to mention (Rico, Xagarath, WB, Dr. L, Samanfur, CJ...pretty much everyone, actually).
4. The Future-The only thing I'd like to see in the future is the return of the Mr. T theme. Oh, and I hope to enjoy my stay here.
The First Time
Well, I had popped into SHQ as a site occasionly, but only for completly random things (can't remember what) but one day my brain suddenly whent "Let's become majorly obsessive about Sonic all of a sudden." So I did. And after a while I started searching for scans of StC in pining for it, and wound up in the special zone forum, and after pootling around in there a bit, my brain went of on a tangent to one of the topics, I got an account, and started posting.
I never got round to actually reading those scans o.o
The Mobius Forum
Tricky, I'm tempted to go with subliminal messages in the themes, but...
I think it's just because it's such a nice place to be, and populated with such nice people, also, the insanity is great, I can completly wander off at 90 degrees to reality and nobody even looks twice^^ It has something for everyone, and a good slice of that juicey pie we call life cut up into seperate bitesize chunks filled with cherry, uh, I mean, discussion. It sorta sticks to the front of my brain and refuses to let go, and that's the way I love it^^
The People
Ack, well, I hate name dropping, but the ones who most come to mind are: Craig, who seems to be grafted into the MoFo by his soul =P Bentleee, whom started the first Rp I ever joined, is a great artist on DA and is my best online friend. Pachamac, another great Rper and artist. Shadow Lady and Arrowhead, for sheer insanity levels and being great fun. Shinobi, Robo and TUL also stand out, and Shadow Hog, Cookirini, Chibibecca and Vortex, all of whom make me giggle with many of their posts^^
The Future
Well, personally, two goals. 1) Attend a meet up
2) Participate in a GM properly <.<;

I remember, I came to South Island through the links on SHQ around early August 2001 figured out ezybread in about a month, and stayed there another month before I knew there were forums besides it. I'm not really an oldhead but probably just the general atmosphere kept me around.

I remember Sam, Cycle, Acrio, True Red, a bit of Rico, Cj, definetly Lighthead, Cooki, and Craig, oh, I argued with Blue Gale alot, before he was PBG (must admit a was kind of an ass in those), ooh, and Shemar, UTH, and Various others from Sandopolis (the old SPA).
When Rad Blue took over and made the school theme? Wow, that was torture.
The Future

I've had a lifelong obsession with sonic, and I've lurked around here for several years. I'm starting to frequent the place now because an old board I used to spend a lot of time on is getting stupid. I'm starting to really like it here though, the people are nice.
My first time: Replying to the US/Aids/Third world thread brought to my attention by another forum I frequent. I kinda stuck around after that because of the points of view that abound.
The Mobius Forum: This place maintains a delicate balance of freedom and regulation that is hard to beat. This is mostly due to very adept moderators and regular forumers willing to toss around ideas. And occasionally some really weird stuff get's posted. Some gross, some interesting....
The People: Most influential, pretty much the usual crowd that generally disagrees (and sometimes agrees) with me; TheCycle, Samanfur, Trimanus, Robobotnik (I usually forget to add the second bo to the name, guess my fingers need retraining) Sonic HQ, they have always done their best to present their point of view in a clear manner with obvious logic behind it. Intelligent people saying intelligent things. I appreciate the level of clarity that they put into their posts.
The Future: I have no specific wants for the future of MoFo, except that the excellence continue. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
