I had a rather unusual experience yesterday at work. When I was watching the drive thru, I saw a man walk up behind the restaurant near the dumpsters. A while later, the guy came inside. He was there for a little while, when he requested a ride from someone. Apparently, one of the night managers (who was off-duty but there to get something to eat) decided to give him a ride. About a few minutes after they left, the police came in and informed us that the man was an escapee! I was so shocked when I found out about it. Fortunately, the night manager was okay. He thought he was just doing a good deed and didn't know until he returned that the guy was an escapee. They caught the guy later this evening near the same spot where he was dropped off. The moral to this story is: Never give rides to strangers. Some say it's rude. I say it's thinking.
wow, i'm glad that nothing happened to the guy who gave him a lift. ^^;
when i was little, my primary school was right next to a prison for the criminally insane who had a tendancy to escape sometimes. one of the escapees ran right past my school as the road lead to a golf course. o_o; eep.
Wow, that's crazy. I hope he wasn't a violent criminal or anything.
What I'm wondering though is why they had him partitioned from his jailer in the first place? That just sounds like a recipe for diaster.
Holy sh*t.
I'm glad nobody was hurt. It's sad when things get so bad that you're afraid to help someone on the street.
**nodnods** I agree with Sailor Rose Dust.... That's pretty cool though in a creepy way o.o Glad nobody was hurt!
That reminds me of a story a friend told me. A friend of hers was enjoying a nice evening when some random dude walked into their house, sat down, and started conversing with them as if he owned the place. The family were scared, but calm. One of them called the police and they came over to find out who the guy was and everything.
Turns out he, too, was an escapee. Escaped from a mental institution, but was friendly enough, seeing as the family were perfectly fine. A bit shocked, but fine.
So not all escapees are bad people. Just a little strange ^^;

If they aren't bad, why are they in prison? Just checking the scenery?
Well in my example, this was an escapee from a mental institution. And not everybody in a mental institution is "bad". :3

I agree with cracke- er, SX, after all, we do have a completely fair, 100% true justice system that NEVER makes a mistake and judges everyone equally.
Hahahahhahaha
