Like the scent of fresh lemon.

What are some of your earliest memories of childhood? Were you a hyperactive kid or the passive one who sat and played quietly? Were you always a gamer or were you a soccer kid or ballerina or whatever the case may be? What were some of your dreams as a kid, and do you still feel that way now?

If you're comfortable showing them (if you still have them), do you have pics from when you were kids? Do you look the same now? NOTE: this is not a photoexchange thread, please don't just post a picture with two words and just leave it at that.

So yeah. Let this be a spot to share some of your fonder (or funnier) childhood moments. I'll post later, as I have rehearsal now.

I was a crazy little thing.

A total tomboy, had frequent temper tantrums that worried my parents to the point they sent me to a psychologist to see if everything was alright with me (before you ask, yes, everything's alright), I really drove my parents mad at times and my somewhat, uh, "eccentric" behaviour made me unpopular at school.

I already had the nerdy traits that I still have to this day: I was a real bookworm. I remember I went to the school's library every day, took a book, read it on the way home on the train and returned it on the following day just to take another one.
I also was very keen on science, documentaries in general and liked observing nature, much like I do today.

I remember I loved school and would force my parents to bring me on days when for some reason or another it'd be difficult to drive me there.

Since we lived in a small town far from where I went to school and my brother was born when I was 7 and a half (and the kids in town weren't exactly nice to me), I got used to playing alone, so I guess this is where my "loner" personality comes from.
Not that I don't like being with other people, it's just that I like to have at least a couple of hours daily to be all by myself at home, playing around. :)

As a kid I also played a lot "kitty". That is, I stuck a piece of cloth into my pants (my tail) and jumped around making up stories. I still do that today (to a lesser degree).

As for my gamer personality, I used to play only on the computer, since my dad did the same. My parents were always against videogame consoles for some reason, so I only got to play one when my grandma gave me a Master System in 1997.
I tried saving up my pocket money for a Dreamcast (what a feat for an 8-year-old!), but when it came out I still had far too little and settled for a GBC and Pokmon instead.

You know, now that I think back I realize how little I have changed regarding the stuff I like to do.. I've just developed those old hobbies a little more and learned some self-control. 😛

I was trusting and social as a kid. Seriously, I was like, totally opposite who I am now, except for some of my hobies; I've always loved to read and I've always loved gaming, and I never did care for most things "my age."

When I was like 5, I loved making things out of blocks or cardboard boxes. I think I was like 7 or 8 when I made this waffle block gum ball machine sorta thing. I would twist around a pencil attached on the front connected to a string which would move around a block on the inside and push a toy out. =D

My interests in that sort of thing seemed to have moved entirely to coding crap.

When I was a kid, I was a nusance. I would run around screaming nonsense for hours straight. In fact, the only way for me to go to sleep was to repeateatly bang my head against the wall.
I'm very passive now. I prefer playing card games/video games and the internets.

I remember Middle School. I was the total outcast whom nobody spoke to exept to make fun of. Not that things are much different now in High School.

Man, my life sucks.

Um, as for hobbies, I always liked video games and I used to play soccer on a travel team. I still play sports but not in a league or anything, just with friends. I used to play with legos and stuff, and I don't really do that anymore. I never really read or had any motivation to do so, but now I have the motivation, I just don't.

In school I was always the class clown kind of person, I still am in some classes, but in most I tend to be more quiet. At home my family thinks of me as a clumsy idiot, and that still holds true as well.

Oh, yeah, one of my earliest memories is actually watching my brothers play video games, how sad.

Yeah, I guess I haven't changed that much. =/

I remember playing combat on Atari. As for what I was when I was little? Um, I was a ghost.

My absolute earliest memory is of my 3rd or 4th birthday...

ah, my youth... Back in the old days. I remember being chased by a group of girls on the playground. It was a huge mob of girls who would pick one boy to chase...to kiss perhaps? The one time I got chased, I was saved by this girlThis is the two of us 2 years ago (lower right)

Anyways, this is me when I was in Kindergarten... I was a pimp back then =)

Have I changed much? No, not at all really. My hair is a little darker, but not much. I still have my golden blonde hair, especially in the summer.

My dream as a kid? Dream job was either an Astronaut or a Lego Engineer. Now I am becoming an engineer... Although I'll be building circuits, not sets =.

My other dream is one I've had since I was in Kindergarten. I've always wanted to be with that girl in the picture above. I think it was this fall when I finally learned that that dream will never come true. Que sera, sera...

I've always been the same. I was always that happy kid. Even now I find it is hard to get depressed, even when life isn't going great. Even when I do get down, I rarely stay that way long. I've also always loved making people smile.

I've always been a fighter, especially when it's for something I want.

As a kid, I never talked to anyone. Even when the teacher called out my name in the register, I wouldn't say anything because I was really shy. I only really talked to about 3 kids out in the playground. I think it was the first day I was shy and that set me up for the next five years talking to noone. When I moved school I started talking to people a little more.

I remember back then I was an awesome tree climber. No tree could stop me from scaling it, and for someone that doesn't have a head for heights, I enjoyed it a lot. Apart from that I enjoyed drawing from when I was about six onwards. Oher than that I remember just enjoying watching cartoons. Good times.

I was extremally shy too. I always got paired with the same lad in assemblies because he was loud and I was quiet - he'd talk and I'd mouth to it. I wasn't shy to the same degree OTB was by the sounds of it, but I didn't like talking outside my circle of friends. When I moved house when I was 10 I was thrown very much out of my depth and my shyness got worse for a while, although I'm glad I did.

I guess the move helped me become a little louder in the end, although THS can tell you that I'm still very shy when I meet people. When I went to meet him for the first time, even though I knew him for years online I was still scared.

I know I've apparently been drawing since before I could walk or talk, as i was a late starter in the latter two, but an early starter in the former. Kids would use me to draw stuff for them in art =/ I've always been very trusting, and don't tend to take hints when people have had enough of me.
I was also a late starter at learning how to ride a bike - however I had a nasty accident with a bike with staballisers and a driveway, leading to me scraping most of the skin off my neck and lying in the middle of the road trapped by said bike, so I had to learn to ride without then. I was 9 iirc =/

My parents never let me have a console until around the 2000s - I remember asking for a Dreamcast but my parents telling me I'd have to save up birthday and christmas money (I didn't get pocket money at the time) so I never got it.

I've always been a polite person I guess, as my parents always taught me to not interrupt (although many people don't do the same back), and to be nice to others.

I adored animals as a kid, and used to want to be a vet. Then I realised how gory that was and have gone through many ideas of careers since.

Pictures? I've got one of my Mum showing me how to use a computer at six months O_O

And here's a scan of my School report when I was... 6? something like that O_O

I have a photo of myself when I was 2 and a half years old:

My hair is now darker, ash blonde, my eyes are mostly light green. I think it depends on the angle the light falls in and they become blue, but not as blue as they used to be like in the pic.
