YAYZ. After ten long days of walking and busing and metroing around the other side of the world, I'm finally back in front of my laptop back in the States. And now...my review of other people's countries.

England (specifically London):
Pretty. Less imposing than I imagined, though. I wouldn't have minded staying there a bit longer. The Tower of London was beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the fact that you guys use older buildings for modern use.

France (Paris and Versailles)
F'in smelly. Paris was one big letdown IMO. The Eiffel Tower was...less than impressive (I was expecting something that owned the duplicate at PKI, but bleh. The sparkly lights were pretty, though.). Your metro is cramped like sardine tins! Versailles was pretty, and so was the Lourve (sp?), though only Versailles was really impressive. Mona Lisa=anticlimactic. NEVER LET STREET VENDORS NEAR YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN AT MONUMENTS, YOU WILL LOSE MONEYS BADLY.

Italy (Rome)
Viewtiful. I loved how the Roman ruins were mixed right in with the rest of the city. Here, we'd just case it in a parking lot and sell postcards (not like they didn't sell em...mein Gott.) I DID l.ike how there were random water fountains in the Forum's ruins. Those were lifesavers.

All in all, all three countries were really fraggin expensive. I'd like to go back to England sometime, though.

EDIT: and now, photos of me in various parts of Europe.

Me and a royal guard. Evidently, they like it when you take pictures with them b/c it helps pass the time.

Eiffel Tower. w00t.

Me in the Colosseum.

Well it sounds like you had a good time (Except for France). Excellent.
You should have adjusted that guard's hat. It looks crooked to me.

I'm glad you like London, I admit that prices over here are a bit much (especially London as it attracts a lot of tourists).

I'm glad you had a nice time, and I'm more surprised that you found London as nice as you did.

Hmmm, really? I've been forced to go there many times and found it very boring.

You enjoyed the UK? Well there's more to us than guys in bearskin hats. Come up to the Midlands and marvel at our lack of tea and crumpets and our lack of people trying to kill each other.

Except perhaps in Nottingham.

*looks again* Hey, this is my 6000th post!

Did you do the audio tour, or just wander around?

We just wondered around. The playscheme leaders didn't have enough money for THAT.
But even if we did go through the tour, I doubt it would be more exciting.
Really, the only things I liked at the Tower of London was the Crown Jewels, the Starbucks coffee stand and the place that sells popcorn.
