While browsing on craigslist.org tonight looking for the occasional freelance Graphic Design Gig... I uh... came upon this little gem here
"If youve ever considered being a professional hero but didnt know how, here is your chance with Heroic Destiny Squad, a new professional hero team. We are looking for people who would either like to be professional heroes or else help out the team in other support type ways.
For our first mission we are going to be rescuing imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners in China and bringing them to political amnesty in a friendly country. This isnt like some publicity campaign, our goal is to physically break them out of jail and get them out of the country to safety. As this is a serious and dangerous situation, with Falun Gong being routinely tortured to death by the Chinese Government there is a high risk of serious injury or death, but thats the way it goes in this business.
Other then that, Heroic Destiny Squad tries to take more of a rock star approach to human rights. Style and flair are important, and my eventual goal is to try to get a T.V. show, book deals, and in-the-field product endorsements to make loads of money, get tons of girls, and become big time celebrities. Were not like good two shoes boy scouts, personally Im somewhat of an alcoholic and somewhat bipolar and I guess you could say a bit insane, but I think youll find most people in the professional heroism business are kind of out of their mind in some way or another. But then again so were the Beats and all the great art movements so I hope maybe we can be like a new cultural movement, if we dont die too soon and all.
If youd like to be a part of H.D.S. and its operations either e-mail me or you can go to our website: http://www.heroicdestinysquad.com/ for more information.
Thanks,
Cloud Starchaser "
I particularly am intrigued by their "rock star approach" to heroics.
Oddly, they do have a link to their website, which does provide a bit more of amusement.
To be continued... NEXT ISSUE!
EDIT: Found another "job posting" from this guy, that I find funnier than the first, and might reveal his real intention.
Okay, now that was hilarious. Reading the FAQ on the website is very interesting. 😉
Wow. The saddest part of it is that he seems serious....
He seems a lot like a modern-day Don Quijote.

Dude. He QUOTES Don Quijote. Whoever he is. I couldn't get a straight answer from Google. His Hot Babes Against Justice sounds rather odd. No fat chicks allowwed. He don't care what his guys look like. He just wants hot girls.
GO QUAZIMODO SQUAD!!
Q1:ARRRGH!

ATTACK!!!*snipered*
Sorry. I didn't look around the site much, so I didn't see that.
If you don't know who Don Quijote is, he's a character in a 1605 book by Miguel de Cervantes who was driven crazy by reading books about knights and believed he himself was a knight. It's one of the earliest and most famous novels in any European language.
You know you've been playing too much City of Heroes when...
This guy is just dumb. I got a small laugh out of the site, but...gaw. He's got to be messed up a little bit. Judging from what he said about failing high school and stuff, I'd say he was and is a problem kid. Doesn't he realize that armies have had trouble with what he's aiming to accomplish? The world does not need protection from psychos.
And how's he gonna get the money to fly to China?
If he could actually pull that off, it'd be AWESOME.
Cool.
And at the same time... ...weird.
Ahw, I wanna' be a S.H.I.T.!
Dude has some rather "interesting" views on Jesus Christ...
Heh.
I picture this guy sitting in some dingy room, laughing at all the people who take what he said seriously...

He has some pretty interesting views on women too. But I figure he goes out of his way to offend everybody equally, so I don't care; it is pretty funny stuff.
