This isn't really your usual "Hi! I'm new to this board! Please refrain from eating me kthx!" sort of post.
I think it's been over 4 years since my last post, though my memory's a little fuzzy about it. But I came across some of the (fairly crappy) fanfic stuff I wrote in a dusty corner of my hard drive. I'm sure you all know what i'm talking about - the kind of directory so old bits are kinda flaking off and there's a peeling label on it from the previous century. Then I read it, and I got the kind of feeling you normally experience while cleaning out the basement and -oh!- that's an old photo, and what about that toy Aunt Whoever gave you on your birthday ten years ago - yeah, that kind of feeling.
Then I started thinking about the website that got me started writing the whole series in the first place - that same website that got me plugged into this huge online community of fans that I hadn't known about, and I wondered if Lianne/TR still thought I was alive (or remembered I existed, for that matter). www.truered.net/knuckleshaven is the site, for those of you who are wondering, and i'm glad to see it's alivie and kicking(on a much nicer webhost!).
And then there's this forum, which was my second life for the later part of 2001 and the better half of 2002. My god, the arguments, the interminable discussions, the insanity, and the people! And it's still around! Most of you, of course, i've never met. A heartfelt "Hi!" and "Glad to see you!" if you fall into this category. But i'm wondering about the few people who I do kinda remember, people like Rico, ChibiBec, TGS, Sam, Jin, Kixxy, Craig, Dubs... so many names (and i've already mentioned Lianne)... so many hours spent bumming around taking random cracks at Archie Comics, forum insanity, life, forum insanity, the universe, etc. Do you remember me?
Four/five years is a long time. We're all older and wiser (I hope). I've moved halfway across the world and started college. Singapore to Philadelphia; wow. I'm sure tons of stuff have happened that'll be cool to know... maybe, kinda. Perhaps.
So if in some deep crevice in your brain this little lightbulb comes on and you go "Hey, I know that guy. That excessively pompous guy who wrote weird stories and had a bone to pick with anyone who ever had a political opinion. Oh, and that weird computer face avatar too", please say something. Very especially if I didn't mention your name up there (I'm fallible, you know).
I might not stick around too long, y'know - the real world's a seriously busy place. But for the next few days at least I'm not going anywhere at all. So we'll see then, eh? 
ps. Doubts? Click on my name and you'll see something like "Local member since 2001" or something.
pps. Maybe someday i'll get around to finishing Black Noise and rewriting Shades of Grey. In that order. It might even happen sooner than you think, since it causes me actual physical pain when I think about the standard of both series. This is _not_ a shameless plug - if you have no idea what either are, don't find out.

Well, thing is fanfics require an investment in time I can't afford to squander. But I've read my fair share.
Jin pops in every now and then, usually when Dubs is about. Calhoun... haven't heard from him in quite some time.

Wow, um i never had the time to Type them, let alone write a dencent plot for them down on a piece of paper.
However, Im helping a writer on FF.net Plan a sequel for her current story she's working on. She seem to like the ideals. I MIGHT Post a rough draft on Carnivel island then considet what need to get fixed, thean get account in FF.net and Fan Ficton Press.net (For my little Fiction world) Who knows?
