This reminds me of a huge ammonia leak in Gulfport a few years ago. I was staying in a hotel at the time. I remember the police telling us that there was a big poisonous gas cloud and we needed to leave the city.
This wasn't very long after 9/11, call it a year or two, so we all thought it was terrorism or something. Turns out some kids wanted to make Crystal Meth but their plan to steal ammonia kinda failed.
Well, at least no one got hurt or killed. That whats matters the most.
And Call me a 'tard if you wish, but is Crystal meth like to cocane? And why did they need Ammonia for it?
If by "like to" you mean "the same as" - no. Cocaine comes from the coca plant. Crystal meth as far as I know stems from a chemical combo including ammonia.

And to think that's only about 40 minutes from where i am right now in Goldsboro. I woke up the other morning and heard a bit about it, but didnt know it was outside of Raleigh. Even my aunt called me from connecticut to ask if i was alright, seeing as how im just outside of wake county.

The people are being allowed to return to there homes. So I guess there aren't any major effects due to this, which is good.
