Hey, gang.
Last night, I was all psyched up to see Mars up in the sky, as according to all the news that was floating around the net. Unfortunately, Jersey was plagued by a bunch of clouds and spotty rains, so any chance of seeing ol' Red was blocked. Really stinks, because I had to miss on a once in a multi-lifetime thing.
Were any of you any luckier? And if you were, did you get a picture?
Seeing Mars isn't a once in a life time thing. I think the "GET TO SEE MARS TONIGHT" thing has been announced a bajillion times on the news in my life time. >XP

It was cloudy in my area too, but it didn't matter - apparently the whole thing was just a hoax. Mars was visible this time two years ago, but nothing special about it this year.
Seriously, I'm not a major science guy, but if I hear about these things, it's nice to see them. Plus, you never know, provides for romantic opportunities when you share them what that someone...
Ah, well. If it's meant to be, then I will trust you guys that my night will come.
Huh? I thought Mars is visible throughout the entire year? O.o
Am I missing something?
....y'know as big of a stars-and-planets nerd I am...or used to be, I'm quite pissed off that I didn't see it. x_o Sounded pretty sweet though.
