It's UK council/assembly election time ('cept for the london areas), over 10,500 council seats are up and in England 32.8 million people will be able to vote - with seats being contested in 312 local authorities.
The ballot boxes close at 2200 bst.
And in the words of cameron (also expressed by the other parties) if you are not planning on voting for my party, please vote for someone else other than BNP.

isn't it a legal requirement to be registered on the electrol rolelist :O you criminal! *sporks*
I've just popped over to vote 10 minutes ago. Ain't telling which party, though. In fact, I wouldn't tell anyone if they gave me a muffin.
What about brownies?
Not that I really care, since I don't understand British politics all that much.

Oh, I voted.
Thought of making up a candidate, writing it on, and voting for them, but...
That said, since they only require a mark in the largeish box for voting, I could have voted with a little picture.
I'm still two years away from being of legal age, but to be fair it's gonna take a big political change for me to even consider voting. To be honest I'd rather lose out on mine than just give it to a party without confidence, and currently none of the parties seem to catch my interest.
Don't they have something in place where you can consider yourself a resident of a place even if you don't "live" there for school (or other) reasons? I voted even when I lived in NYC as a Nassau resident (since I decided to keep my Nassau residency instead of changing & it was allowed for educational purposes)--though for Nassau-related elections only. I couldn't vote in stuff regarding NYC as I wasn't a resident. But as most elections occur at the same time, it only affected the names on my ballot, not voting times.
