Glad I'm not the only one who thought "Darwin Award". I mean, of all the places to run to just after the attacks...
Perhaps he didn't know about the attacks.

Did he live under a rock for a few days? The whole city was bound to be jumpy, in a time like that you take care not to do something daft.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry for him and his family. But I'm also sorry for the guys who apparently thought this was the only way to prevent another scene of carnage on a Tube train.

I didn't know about the attacks of that particular day until the evening news.

I still question the wisdom behind running away from three men armed with guns. There's no chance of escaping, so you may as well stop and raise your hands (besides which, you may find yourself rooted to the spot out of fear in such a situation. I know I would). It is very unfortunate, but at the same time I have to ask why he chose to run. You can't blame the police for acting too harshly when somebody ignores a clear warning.

It's probably a bit late to comment on the whole London bombing event now, but what happened was terrible nonetheless. What didn't help my nerves was the fact that I knew both a close friend and a brother who were working in London that day, near one of the explosions. Thank god they were OK.

EDIT - nevermind about the first paragraph much - my browser didn't show the last few posts x.x
