Tonight is the last night I will visit the MoFo for what may be a long time, due to forces beyond my control.
In summation, my older brother (19) is a lazy sack of crap.
In detail...
He's become notorious for his lack of integrity and intiative. He sleeps all day, getting up to pee, crap, and wank. When night comes, he lugs his XBox into the living room so he can unplug my computer from the cable and get on to play XBox, living on frozen burritos and coffee, neither of which he cleans up when he's done. He refuses to get a job. He makes up half-assed excuses for not trying to get one until my parents quit questioning him so he can go back to sleep in his room that he hasn't cleaned in five months and is consequently a hodge-podge of dirty clothes, CDs, and cigarrete casings.
He not only refuses to get a job, but leeches off of me (taking from my change bank), my parents (one time he asked for gas money, went to his room, came back saying he couldn't find his keys "can I use your car?", was denied, and almost immediately found his keys. He obviously had no intent of buying gas.), and uses all of it to buy either cigarretes, gas, games, time on his XBox Live account, and pot. He makes very half-assed attempts to justify this as far as my opinion of him goes mostly with failed dialogue including bits about how he should be able to live his life on his terms w/o being oppressed.
My father's solution? He is going to pull the following things: Cable TV, his TV, his DVD Player, his video games, and most importanly, THE INTERNET.
Most of the people I know, even on here, might being extremely pissed.
But as it stands, I am encouraging my dad to follow through, because we've tried everything and he just doesn't care about anything; one of those idiotic "You only live once" Jackass types, and I HOPE he gets his s together. So far he's headed towards a whole lot of nothing in his life. In fact, I've got my fingers crossed on Dad kicking him out so he can get his own place and learn some fing responsibility.
As for me, it depends how long it takes for him to straighten up or until I get a job, so this could at most last for the next 6 months.

Well, good luck Tibbles, hope you can rejoin us soon, personally, I'd have taken to spraying his ciggaretes/whahaveyou with water every time he lit up, removed the wires from the xbox cables (cunningly replacing them with liquorice) and refused to give him money for anything, especially ciggies/x-box cable repair. But that's me, still hope it works, your brother sounds like he's just coasting on the power of others, and that's NO good.

I have a friend with an older brother the same way. Lets put it this way. This guy is 3 years older than me, I'm almost 25. He lives at home, doesn't pay for his car or insurance, and works at a pizza place where all his money seems to goto video games.
I know what a pain in the butt it is, believe me. Hope your parents make him grow up. When I was 19 I was doing tech support at AOsmeL and paying mommy 100 bucks a month rent.
