Hm....not sure whether this goes into the Gaming Academy or MF. However, I am putting it in here because, when I say favorite online game, I don't just mean games that are Final Fantasy Online or World of Warcraft types. Any and all games that are found online are qualifiable.

As for me, I love Kingdom of Loathing and games on Pogo.com. The Kingdom of Loathing game is just a great parody, and fun to boot, while Pogo has a variety of games to choose from.

Also, the Kewlbox website is good, though it's hard on my computer. :/

If games over Xbox Live count, then Halo 2 hands-down (gamertag: SlySonikku).

But for computer games...America's Army. And Call of Duty.

While I haven't been on it in quite a while, i find Halo 2 to be a fun experience given the games have been well sorted, or if it's a fun organised game. Also, Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a local favourite for netgames around the forums... =P

kingdom of loathing is brilliant, but i'm confused about all this 'acension' (sp?) stuff that's going on, (hardcore? normal? wha-?) and so have taken to lurking and making lots of chow mein.

i've also sneeking about neopets and gaia.

but the best online game is, naturally, Phantasy Star Online. :p wryyyy~

Gone through a few in my time, but the particularly life-changing ones are (in order of my aquiring them):

TOCA Race Driver 2

My first ever online game, bought right after getting Broadband. Even though it's a little outdated now, it still holds a precious place in my heart.

Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour

Awesome, awesome, awesome game!!! I still go on this regularly, even though I still suck at it lol. I love the strategic elements, and Lazer Tanks/Emperor Overlords/Alpha Aurora Bombers rock!!!

Star Trek: Armada II

Don't go on it as much now, cause it's an old game and the lag is pretty bad, but I'm a major Trekkie and I love playing this game^^

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

Final Fantasy XI

Best - online - game - ever - no contest

RUNESCAPE!

Really, RuneScape is the best net game I've ever played.

www.runescape.com

Of course, I'm a member to it, and the membership version ($5 Dollars Per month) is SOO much better than the free version.
I played free version for a year or so, and became so addicted that I joined membership and found all of the benefits. I've been playing 4 years, now, I'm combat level 90, and I find myself checking three times a day for the weekly RuneScape update. I'm pretty sure the next update will be Tuesday at 11:30 AM Eastern, 10:30 Central.

Anyway... -LOL-

Never played many at all, minus FFXI. But I didnt like that one much at all. Warcraft looks really awesome. SRB2 and Netbattle are nice I guess. And gunbound. I need to sign up for that again, maybe.

Agreed.
It bugs me that people would pay even $5 for the privilege of playing a boring, bland, pointless, ugly, low-res MMORPG
when there are games out there like Guild Wars that have everything RuneScape doesn't with *Dun dun dun* NO MONTHLY FEE! *Gasp*

Oh yeah, before I forgot to mention Guild Wars.
Don't have a character anymore, though.

Well some people dont have enough money to buy one of those mega mmorpgs or the money to get that kinda computer let alone pay for the monthly fee (on some of them) For some people things like Runescape are the only thing people have @.o ... Wish I had a gaming computer <<;

I definitely love World of Warcraft. Great artwork and quest structure.

Anyone else here play? I'm on Cenarion Circle, Llane, Feathermoon, and Greymane.

I suspect that Guild Wars may be the superior game, (especially without the monthly fees) but I've been playing WoW so long that I can't switch. I have a Guild Wars character on a friends' account but don't really play.

*Proudly waves the PSO flag high for all to see* ^_^

Of course, having a crappy computer and a crappy connection mean I don't get to play many online games...

Don't be an ass. Do I need to start giving warnings for that crap?

Back to topic, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Teh Rickei and his DE-10 (Currently I'm still hunting for my PS disk. It's crappy quality due to some PSP look-a-like).

Why? Because I like hunting down the scum of the galaxy, then selling their stuff to even bigger scum for an unsightly profit. (Hey if Jedi will pay 10 million for stuff thats trash to me, power to 'em.)

Guildwars? You mean land of invisible walls? Hehehe, I have a level 16 e/w on that, gimp and proud of it. But yeah, Starwars:Galaxies is still my favorite (And as you can see I'm back playing it AGAIN). But my vote for Best online game would be City of Heroes.

Yeah I'd be up for that Cy, although I suck majorly lol. I'm best at Comp Stomps.

What do you call yourself on there? I have 2 names that I use regularly:

Shockwave
AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH

That second one...I just wanted something different lol

Let me know you're name and I'll look out for you :thumbsup

Well... I too also play on Xbox live

Just recently I got Burnout Revenge (and one hell of a game too), but I still go back and play Burnout 3 Takedown. What else... Forza Motorsport, I play that every once in a while, drive around in a Ferrari Enzo. Oh and Worms 3d, fear the concrete donkey!

Im done with Halo 2.. too many twelve year olds telling me Im gay, cursing me out, wanting chocolate milk, and the cheating too.

Sorry Rico, I put the wrong emoticon on the end of that sentence (should have been a =P), because to be honest, I play a bit too (name: Pengui Pen, though I'm not active anymore =( Counter Strike took over) nn;

Edit: I also advise any retro original Halo-ing on the PC for those just wanting to get (slightly) retro again.

My favorite online game is Halo 2. 2nd runner up would be Lightside // Legend Ragnarok...

I loved PSO back in the day, and I still whack on UT if I have an hour or so to kill. I would say I love WoW but my PC refuses to install it, so I'm relegated to playing it at my friend's house only. :(

UT2K4, my fave FPS ever. Not that I play many. And City of Heroes, which I do NOT pay a monthly fee for, but use various free trials. heh, I'm cheap. I don't understand why anyone would like Runescape, but each to their own...

Try Guild Wars. It's by the same people who did City of Heroes, but has no monthly fees.

Oh! Muthalovin'... what's your character on WoW? I'm Kitten and Euphyacis on Cenarion Circle, Pyrite on Feathermoon, Buttercups on Llane, and Sheulk on Greymane. 😛 I have a lotta alts.

World of Warcraft. The playability far outstrips that of any other MMO, the variety of options available for advancing your character is bound to have something for everyone, the presentation and art direction is fantastic, the personality and distinctiveness of each zone makes one salivate, the variety and uniqueness of each of the character classes (and the three spec trees for each) provides a different game experience for everyone, and the sheer quantity of storyline and detail behind each and every quest, place, NPC and item is absolutely staggering. It is without doubt the best MMORPG currently on the market, hands down, no contest, period.

Ratchet and Clank 3. I rocked in that game online (but stopped since Deadlocked is around the corner) and it was donr well (for the first game of the series to go online).

I've been meaning to get WoW since It came out, but the whole "HOHNOEZ THE EBIL FEEZ" thing has sort of kept me away from it for awhile no,w as I'm on a shoestring budget as it is.

Name: Celtus. I stay on the North America/USA server on Generals basic. I don't know if you can still play normal Generals once you install ZH, though.
