Alright, let's try this again. What SONIC shows are you're guys favorites? Be descriptive and give a brief description why you like that show.

Out of the Sonic shows, mine in order of preference are:

1) Sonic X (JPN): An excellent show, albeit flawed. However, many flaws are fixed in the second series, where it begins to enter exciting new territory.
2) SatAM: I have a soft spot for this old show. It's still entertaining, clever, exciting and touching.
3) Sonic OAV: Fast paced and fun. I actually prefer the dub, because the ridiculous voices give it character.
4) Sonic X (ENG dub): as far as I'm concerned, this is a different entity from the original, and while it's not BAD, it hardly does the original justice.
5) AoStH: Not a terrible show. It's typical cartoon fare, but some episodes stick in my memory as especially good: Grounder the Genius, for one, and the Chaos Emerald 4-parter as well.
6) Sonic Underground: I've only seen one episode: the first one. While it was okay, the whole song thing was unbearably cheesy.

Since you are referencing "all" Sonic shows, this is the wrong forum. The only cartoon shows discussed in Knothole are the ones created by DiC: Sonic The Hedgehog (SatAM), Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog (AoSTH), and Sonic Underground (SU). All the others (Sonic OVA & Sonic X) are discussed in South Island. To discuss all of them at once, this belongs in MF Central.

Sonic X is probably my favourite - the Japanese version, that is. There seems to be character development, it's nice to have game adaptations and the animation is well done. I like the story arcs. Can't bear the English dub though.

AoStH is OK, but a little too slapstick for my tastes - and this from an Animaniacs fan!

SatAM was much better animated and had interesting plots, but I never liked it too much because of how it relegated Tails to almost complete uselessness.

The OAV is weird, but still good. Rocking soundtrack (wish I could find a copy), but the voices in English make me cringe.

Sonic Underground is just plain bizarre. I used to watch it on Saturday mornings for lack of anything better to do, but it had an even worse flaw than SatAM, in that Tails was completely absent. Plus the song breaks used to drive me nuts. Mind you, it was cool to hear Maurice "The Brain" LaMarche as Dingo...

Sonic: The Movie was my favorite.
Anything else I don't really like, ESPECIALLY Sonic Underground. I mean, the whole series is basically a giant excuse for Urkel to jam out, which is never good.

The topic got moved from the knothole forum, so I really didn't do anything to get it moved.

You opened up the "Sonic shows" to every single Sonic show--and there are a lot of them (especially if counting dubs). If you want something to be in Knothole, it has to say "DiC" or "Archie" or specifically list the cartoons you want (which can only be a combination of SatAM, AoSTH, or SU--or else it will be moved here). You can't be general in any forum other than MF Central. I moved your thread and explained why it was moved. Considering it seems your first thread was moved due to you not being clear, you basically just need to learn to be specific.

SATam. It had the best plot, great animation, the best voices, and great characters. Sonic X JPN is my second fav, but it had to many flaws later on in the story for it to really be my favorite. It was to silly and anime-ish (not that I have anything against animes or Sonic being an anime. It just had to many typical anime jokes).

I liked Sonic Underground. Had a solid story, some good songs, Knuckles, and good animation. Would've been better with slightly better voices and fewer (or better) songs. By far the weirdest Sonic show.

AoStH...funny. Thats about it.

The OVA was decent, but not really all that great.

SATam! Don't much care who got down played and who got the lead roll, it was a superior show.

The only ones I've seen are Sonic X, AoSTH, and the OVA. AoSTH and Sonic X were ok, but I don't watch them anymore. The OVA is my favorite.

I also saw about 5 minutes of Sonic Underground once. I don't remember anything about it except that Sonic was singing. Badly.

Personally, i'm going to stick up for the Sonic Underground series, as I rather enjoyed it. Of course, I found it strange that Sonic had a brother and a sister, but i don't let that bother me. Most of the songs weren't all that bad either (though i shall admit that some of them were mute-able). It was rather funny in places too - especially Dingo and his love for Sonia, which i always seem to laugh at. The lack of Tails didn't bother me at all; besides at least Knuckles was on there.

The AoStH Sonic series I quite enjoyed too, though there was a lot of filler. This one is quite special to me because it was the first series I ever saw, and again - Scratch and Grounder was comedy gold. If the entire season was out on DVD, i'd have no problem buying it. Yes - some episodes were poor, but there were some classic ones around.

SatAM I can't really comment on extensively as i've only seen as few episodes in the UK. It looked pretty good to me, but i never liked most of the characters on there, and it seemed awfully serious in places. I don't mind that, but a little humour here and there wouldn't have gone amiss. Again - i've only seen a few episodes, and it's been years since i've seen them, so perhaps i'm mistaken on that.

Sonic the Movie, personally has the best animation. I would love to see Sonic X done in the original anime style. The grimy backgrounds (like at the end of the 1st episode) were very well done, and i liked that all the characters were there. I also enjoyed the gritter aspect of it, and laughed out loud when Sonic gave the finger to Mecha-Robotnik. I still never truly understood the ending with Sonic and Hyper Metal Sonic (why did he scream?), but this is top in my book.

Sonic X. Well, i'm not sure what to think about this. I could say that i'm nearly 21 and i can't appreciate it as much as younger people would, but if that's the case, why do i have no trouble watching Sonic Underground and AoStH? I don't mind the human characters, but in my mind it's still wrong (funny i should say that when i'm not bothered about Sonic having a brother and sister), and that some of the episodes are rather boring. This is probably my least favourite cartoon i'm sorry to say. It's certainly watchable, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't feel right to me.

When I was younger I used to love AoStH - in fact I recall it being the only Sonic cartoon I was aware of before I came to the internets. Although surprisingly enough I have a tape of SatAM in my house which I found about a year ago. It was alright, I suppose. The Sonic OVA is pretty cool, too - I've got it on DVD and it's alright. As for Sonic X I never really got into it - I tried the UK Dub for about 12 episodes and hated it, and the Japanese version I liked, but my computer had issues playing them and I ended up deleting them. >_> Hm. Took me forever to download, too.

SATAM is/was/ and will always be my favorite Sonic series... It had some funny parts (Snively torturing Antoine by making Escargo with....MARGARINE! <Snively's creepy laugh>). It also had that serious tone. These guys were in a life and death struggle with the scum of the universe. Great writting (most episodes), good voice acting, and decent animation led to this series' greatness.

I did not like OVA...The voices just ruined it... Nice animation though...And the little jokes (Tails holding on to...)
