Yeah, but the other thread isn't in the MF2 for nothing. I'm sure it was created for a reason.
from what i'm aware of, it was created to stop the need for topics like this to be made.. especially for a short break like a week. stops the place getting filled with nothing but 'omg, i'm on holiday because it's the summer! :o' topics. :p
if you were vanishing for over a month or more, or for something urgent, i doubt there's any problem with making a topic here. ^^
who's to say that things in the MF2 go unnoticed?
If we were to stick with table style instead of hybrid style there's no reason we couldn't move things like the going away topic and the birthday topic back into MFC.
Alternatively, we could do like they have at the top of South Island and have links to those kind of topics.

Actually, I had forgotten about the topic in MFC2. I never go there anymore.
I'm back though. We went to Sea World, the Natural Bridge Caverns, the Alamo, and the Riverwalk. It was fun.

How should we punish them?
We could always tie them to a chair, hold their eyes open, and let LNR give them a personal lap dance.
