And why did you post? Share those secret origin stories of all the superheroes, err, forumers.

I was looking at Sonic sites, and Sonic HQ was by far the best. After reading quite a bit of the site, I wanted more, so I looked at the forum, and found a big arcades vs. consoles topic, which caused me to post. The forum seemed to have a history to it and people knew each other and had their own trademarks. Then Ergon and Jet welcomed me in the chat and I decided to try to join in on funny topics and stuck around.

I had just gotten Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast, when I went to stay at my sisters place for a couple of nights. She had the internet, and let my on. I did a quick search on Yahoo for Sonic sites. Sonic HQ sat on the top of the list. I clicked that first, and came upon the site.

I browsed around a bit, got the Open Your Heart MP3 playing on repeat, and then saw a little section that said stuff about Sonic philosophy, and other cool stuff. I clicked there and became instantly addicted. I lurked for ages, just looking at all the cool people and all their cool posts. I soon found an old sketch in my book, of a Sonic character I had created a long time ago... The rest they say, is history.

I got Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the GC about two years ago, and it got me back into sonic after nearly a 10 year absence...after so long, I decided to look around the internets for more info. Found Sonic HQ. Starting hanging around, and lurked the forums once or twice...then the Fexusfan HQ came along and I had no idea what was going on. Posted in the forums to ask and got stuck here. :p Of course, there's more to the story, but that goes beyond how I found it.

Nearly two years ago, I got Sonic Battle and Sonic Advance 2 for my birthday. I was looking at a FAQ for Sonic Battle, and I noticed that it mentioned a site called sonicfoundation.org. I started going to the site regularly, and decided to go to Google to find some other Sonic sites. I found Sonic HQ, and I eventually stumbled onto the forums. I loved all the injokes and the people who posted there, so after 9 or 10 months of lurking I decided to join the insanity.

I used to come here to hide from Reave's mouthy ass. Stuck around, started posting more and became active in the RP forum. I think I had, what, a hundred posts when Vec and Sam talked to me about modding that forum? After the fun fun times of beating down the likes of Cyber, Shark, and Lothar. I couldn't stay away. :D

I really don't remember how long ago I found Sonic HQ. I believe it was through a search engine that I stumbled upon it. After at least a couple of years (don't know how long) I lurked the forum for a few months before I finally joined in April.

That's when I found this place was the origin of all insanity!

It's fun here! What can I say? XP

Just like everyone else, I was still engulfed in the Sonic fandom. I searched around and stumbled upon Sonic HQ during my AOL days back in either, hell, 97 or 98. As some oldbies know, I was known as Swifty then.

I noticed at the time Zif was looking for some news posting people to keep an eye on the alt.fan.sonic newsgroup and report on anything big. Which at the time, it was. Shortly after, though, things just kinda fell apart. While all that was being torn to shreds, I resigned and just decided to join the chatrooms, which I think was on BeSeen at that time. I gots to know a little bit of people. That chatroom was crap though, and I didn't last long.

Finally found the MoFo, which was on the awesome server. Lurked for awhile. I finally registered, under Jinsoku, which was a name change to my character, yet meaning the same thing, I posted some things. Saw the randomness that was Dubs, Chainspike, and others. I stuck around with that, and then added "WORSHIP THE PiE!" as a sig to all my posts, and then the questions and insanity began for me.

T'was like magic. =3

I found out about Sonic HQ from a letter in an Archie Sonic Comic and decided to visit it. Then I saw the links for the MoFo on the side and ended up visiting the MoFo on a regular Basis. That was about three years ago I think.

I keep posting here because I always get a good laugh out of the topics and because the people here are teh awesome.

I had been to the website itself before, but never really explored the forums. At the time, August 2001, I was a regular at Sonicverseteam and their forums. That's where I found out about RPing on message boards. I always liked doing it with my friends so I decided to do it. One day I was exploring the link section and discovered Sonic Headquarters in late September. It took me a few days, but I finally posted in October. Under the alias of Mike Speed Hedgehog. In the Roleplay "The Ultimate RP". I expanded from the guild in 2002. And now I don't even visit Sonicverseteam.

Go figure.

I came across it by accident really. I was searching google for some information on the Archie Sonic comic after I had paid a trip to a comic store in my area, and buying an issue. Well I went to look else where obn the site, on my psp after the power went out and accidently slipped the control stick and hit forums, and here I am.

Around 2000, I did an Altavista search for Sonic (since I was a huge fan back then), and this site came up. I searched around, and liked it so much that I thought I'd visit regularly.

Around late-2001, I started to lurk around the MoFo, but I didn't have a registered account or anything like that. Then in December 1, 2002, when a forum I used to be a regular moved to Ezboard, I was forced to create an Ezaccount in order to follow them. Well, since Sonic HQ's messageboard was also on EZ, I decided that it was time for me to post on here.

And here I am, 3 years later and still posting. Weird how time flies, isn't it?

It was Bush's first year in office. All anyone remembered by midyear was the incident with China. And with historical context provided, I can now move forward.

Like most others, I was a big browser of Sonic HQ, a site I had been looking at for a year or two for its comprehensive guide on Sonic. Then I stumbled into the forums. Then I started posting. A lot.

And, here I am. For better or worse.

January 2004, was using EzBoard's search thing to look around for MegaMan/MMX related forums. This place came up because of the Robot Museum, where I lurked around for a little while before checking out the rest of the forums. Looked like a pretty nice community, so I decided to join. And was promptly welcomed, eaten, blown up, scraped off the wall, smashed with a large mallet, and complimented on my punctuation and grammar. :lol Been hanging around ever since (for the most part).

Didn't realize until now that it's been almost two years since then... :|

About the time Sonic Advance 2 was being revealed, I was browsing the internet and went on Sonic HQ a lot. I'd often check the messages on the main pain of SHQ thus making me an unintentional lurker, joined in Octobre 2003. ^_^

Back in April 2002, I got a gamecube and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, which brought me back into the series after five or six years of abandoning it for other things like theatre and N64.

I wanted to look for character profiles for the newer characters I hadn't heard of, so I went to Google for help. Sonic HQ was one of the first on the list and gave me the information I needed and a whole lot more. And then I saw the wonderful "Message board" link which brought me here.

I lurked for a few months since I didn't have a global EzBread account and due to parental controls on AOL, I couldn't create one. Eventually I pestered my parents to make one, and ten minutes later, I was eaten by Scythess.

Yeah. :3

Right, so I first got a computer about mid-late 2000 I'm going to say. Yeah, my family never owned a computer for that long. We got the Internet a few months later, let's just say December 2000, since I have no idea exactly when. A few more months later, being bored with looking at pretty much every single DBZ fan site there was, I decided to expand my search engine adventures. I searched through a few Megaman fansites, and decided to search for Sonic now. Then, I stumbled upon the link to Sonic HQ.

I clicked on it, and the HQ selection page came up, the same as it is today. I noticed "Hey, they have a Megaman HQ too!" So I immediately clicked on that. I was looking through the site, and noticed a link to a "forum." I had no idea what this "forum" was, so I clicked on it curiously. I was thrown into a world of virtual life. A new world per say. I lurked around the Robot Museum for a few weeks before making an account on May 1st 2001; an account named named "Quick Man 007." Yeah, I never seen a single Bond film. But nonetheless, I made my messages, unknowing of any of the other boards. And all was merry.

I was getting tired of the Quick Man 007 name and decided to change it in favor of a global account. I was having troubles in coming up with a name that was unique and identifiable. So, on December 16th 2001, I created the account "Rabid Rodent" as a substitute until I came up with a better name. Yeah, that time never came.

My board viewing slowly but surely expanded, my newbness died down (for the most part), and thus the vitual birth of the Rabid Rodent you all know today. I never really posted much, as you can tell by the post count. I still don't post all too often, but, you know, that's just how I roll. Now, if you'll excuse me...

o.O Geez, man this is making me think.

Had to be Mid 2K, i was still addicted to the internet, and looking up anything SOnic at the time. Came across the Mofo, but I left, feeling that I never had anything good to say cause it was already said.

Until Januaru 2k1 when I popped into the Floating Island on a whim {Cause I was trying to make a timeline} and there was a discussion about Knuckles in some fashion or other that made me go "WHAT? NO!?!@?"

And then I stole some of TR's fries and yeah I needed to stay :D *Robs some now just for the hell of it." :D

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN HERE.

... hm. No wait, that's God.

News about Sonic Adventure was running rampant on the few gaming sites I visited back in late '99 (R.I.P. GameFan Online). I was curious about the history of the Archie Sonic series after Spaz and Fry's tremendously inviting art convinced me to purchase issue #78 'A New Beginning'. After some searching I found both Ken's MB and Sonic HQ. It would be months of lurking before I would decide to join the community. By that time, I had mastered Sonic Adventure and caught up on 50-70 plus issues of Archie Sonic and Archie Knuckles back issues.

I recall Vec welcoming me with gusto in Kobun Kiosk. I must of made an impression early on, it couldn't have been more than a month after my first few posts and I was already in consideration for modship. I felt I wasn't ready for that kind of responsibility, so I had to decline.

Needless to say, other stuff happened over the years. Now, I sit poolside sipping Corbell at my phat palatial estate while scantidly-clad clones of all my favorite female MoForummers crowd around me, waiting for the time of the Cleansing to commence once again, when Bill's unholy children would again rise from the depths of Tartarus... raising their Skullbats high into the air as they chanted the name of the great 3-eyed beast that would deliver unto them the world. Hail Gazuga!

Well in February of 2002 I had gotten Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and started kicking myself for being away from Sonic for so long. I started looking up game info from the games I've missed for the 6-7 years I was out and researching levels, characters, music, and so on.

And I decided to check out the forum.

Nervous about my Sonic knowledge, I stuck to Gaming Academy, never posting at South Island just yet. I was too stupid to post at MFC for a little less than a year, so no "Newbie Topic" for me. ^^

Ahh...it was a wonderful find, it really did pay off.

Oh and I was linked here by Samanfur September '00 when the Special Zone swung it's doors open, until then I was using Yahoo Groups, or whatever they were back before Yahoo bought them.

I was on a bit of a nostalgia trip in the summer of '04, and I was searching for scans of StC, which led me through the Special Zone.

Yes through, I sorta passed through it a bunch of times. Eventually I actually stopped to have a look around, and sidled into the MoFo society quietly avoiding all the teeth.

Oh, and I never payed any attention to SonicHQ, go fig. *shrugs*

I'd been exploring SHQ when I had first got on the net, which was around 1998 or so. Didn't discover the forum until September 2001, so I registered in November under the name "lukew aka WARP." Changed that in December to "Warp the Cat" and then to Luke3000 in May 2002.

I blame the tSf.

I was originally a member of the forum there. One day, I was browsing the links page and Sonic HQ was listed. I came, checked the place out, lurked for a few months, then signed up.

I haven't regretted it yet.

One of the first things I googled when I got access to the internet was "Sonic" and Sonic HQ popped up. That was about January 2003, I ventured into the MoFo on May 25th and registered the same day. Entered the EzChat and the rest is history.

Hmm... it was way back in April... or March... or something... of 2003. I was reading around on Sonic HQ, which I found by Google. Then I accidentally clicked on "FORUM" at the top of the window.

THERE, is where I entered the MoFo.

"What the hell is this?" I asked myself.

The first place I went?

SOUTH ISLAND.

I began reading some of the posts.

"Hey... these people... are LIKE ME."

And then I became a member of EzBoard.

My first post was about THE BEST GAME EVER, SONIC 3 & KNUCKLES.

I was then lured into the "Live Chat!" where I met countless new people, where I was called "NEWBIE!" and the like. It was also this "Live Chat!" where an abomination would be created...

THE TONGUE OF SAFFRONIC.

And from there on... the legacy that was once Saffronic... was born.

Buuuuuuuuuuut Saffronic's dead now. You can thank Harley for that.

Actually, just a friend. Roughly 5/6 years ago, this one girl I met at a Pokemon TCG swap-meet *GASP* had also told me she was a Sonic fan, as well. Apparently she used to post here, and she told me of a few places on the internet to go to.

I started out at the tSf chatroom (ah, good times), while roleplaying here in the MoFo's RPer's Guild using an unregistered account. My Dreamcast (yes, I was using a Dreamcast at the time) wouldn't allow me to register. Eventually registered using a school's computer X3

After the tSf chatroom closed down, I moved here full time, and have been using this account ever since (save for the hundreds of other accounts used to RP in the EZchat).

Fwee, pretty much my MoFo life story. =3

I found the MoFo from Zifei's Sonic Page when it was listed on rat.org or something. There was a blue screen and it was listed. I forget what the theme was but it was dark. It might've been that Sonic Blast collage type theme. (I know SOMEONE must have this!) The link color was lime green. It was Halloween 1998.

I found this place when I was a newbie back in 1999, going to tSf's chat room.

I was invited to SHQ's BeSeen chat. From there I went to HQ. It was moving to EmuZone. I looked around and came into contect with the Discapps MoFo. I posted a couple of times, but didn't stick around. When the Great BeSeen Shutdown accured, I migrated to ezBoard when the MoFo was moving to Everyone.net. I was like ''Wow. this thing looks lame.'' XD

I later came here in 2001 when it moved to ezBarf. Not very exciting. XD

Pretty much what HSW said. Heck, he even mentioned me (I assume that's who "SH" is), so I don't have to say a thing. I love it when things work out like that.

Admittedly I only got about half a year of lurking unlike HSW's 4, and I didn't actually show up here until late January, 2003 (so my third anniversary is coming up - scary thought, kinda, having been here three years and not even noticing), but still!
