It was my first day online in July 1998, I entered "Sonic the Hedgehog" into Yahoo! to see what would happen, and the rest is history.

I spent three months lurking before I worked up the nerve to post, though.

I found Sonic HQ in late 2001 while looking for codes for Sonic and Knuckles Collection (heh heh) and noticed a link to the forum. I thought it couldn't hurt to look for codes there, so *click*. I registered a global account (Thunder1) with Ezbarf, made one post, and then ran off for two years, forgetting this place completely. I assume my only post was destroyed by last year's Ezhack.

Well, two years later, while browsing through files on my backup hard drive, I found a bookmark to Sonic HQ, so naturally, I followed the link to http://pub228.ezboard.com/bsonichqcommunity, where the forum still stood. I had forgotten my password changed to a new e-mail address since then, so I had to register another Ezbarf global account.

OffTopic: Meh! I wish that this board was never hacked. There were at least 40 members on and 30 guests during the day and posts would flood in like rushing water. Many people left after that. >.>

Well, for years I did not have the internet, much less than a computer. About the only time I had any experience with the net was at the library in which I used it for homework such as research papers, etc. When I graduated in 2003, my aunt asked to spend some time with her and her husband at their house in Virginia and even bribed me with the offer to visit DC.

Unlike me, my aunt had a computer and the internet at her house so, in addition to looking up colleges(which I didn't do much of), I wanted to look up info concerning Sonic X which I either heard about in the Archie Books or from a commercial on the Foxbox while watching TMNT. So, in the search engine, I put Sonic X and it sent me to the Sonic X topic here(which became the JPN Sonic X topic) or to the HQ which sent me to the topic(sorry, I have a bad memory).

During my month stay I got through most of the topic and looked at other topics in South Island(including the Chaos Emerald topic) before I went home July 6th to attend a funeral. When I got home, my mom and dad told me they found a guy selling a computer(with 1 gig memory ) for $150(I got it cheaper though). So when I got home, I got one of the free trial of AOL we got in the mail, found a telephone cord, and got connected.

One of the first sites I searched for was, of course, Sonic HQ where I found the Sonic X topic had been split in two. So, for months I lurked finding other forums to read from, and then on March 5 2004 I made a global account though I did not post until 5-6 afterwards. My first post was in the US Sonic X topic, and I was greeted by Psx who pointed me to MFC. I made a intro topic that made it into MFC2, and the rest is history... no really the rest is histroy the EZhack erased most thing including my intro post and my beloved intro topic.:">

Anyway, I have had a lot of fun and wouldn't dream of leaving, and of course I'm gonna move with the board as I consider the MoFo my internet home.
