It's certainly an interesting theory, but I'm not so sure we can call it a FACT just yet...

Heh... and so God didn't give a rats ass about the dinosaurs and cared about everything else instead... Very believable. XD

Correction - Jack Chick can't possibly even dream of religious propaganda this awesome!

XD at this kid-who-replied's mother. You know, the one who thinks bones were planted in the ground as a test of faith...

If my memory serves me right, isn't Sense-Surround that thing from the 70s where they'd have a massive subwoofer that generated vibrations just above the lower threshold of human hearing (also known as the infamous "brown noise"), thus resulting in thousands of soiled trousers?

I know how the dinosaurs really died.

Last week, I built a time machine. I used it to go back o the days of the dnosaurs and found that lo! they had not died out 65 million years ago. So, using the nuclear missiles that I stole from Saddam Hussein a few years ago, I blew them all up, thus ensuring a nuclear winter ensnared the planet for a few million years more.

Happy that my work was done, I returned to the point at which I had left, only to find out that as a terrible result of my heartless actions, Ezboard was suffering from some horrible disease. The RP Zone was not working properly! What a heinous punishment, and truly disproportionate to my crime of wiping out an entire species I had no quarrel with!

Out of social conscience, I instantly dismantled the time machine.

Still, that's how the dinosaurs were really wiped out. Somehow, it's still more believeable than the Noah's Ark flood.

In desperation, tries to turn off the repeat feature. Only to find that it's booby trapped to make the volume louder*

And correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Mythbusters debunk the "brown note" rumor?

Other than that, dunno.

What did I do this time?

Craig, why are you so mean to me? Is it something to do with missig the RP Zone?

Anyway, where was I?

Oh, yeah, this guy is either joking or has some serious screws loose. There was a documentary on about how Noah's Ark could have happened - not in biblical terms, but in the 'big boat and animals' terms. But I seriously doubt that there were dinosaurs around then...

As you can see by now, there's a temp RP Guild up, so you can use it for now. All of the posts still aren't restored, however.

:eek you're saying we can continue our RPs now???

*dives head first into the temp RP forum, nearly smashing it as he does*

WHOOPEE MY RPs!!!

(To make this post at least slightly on topic:)

As far as the flood goes, I just take the bible's account as fact. The bible is God's word after all. Not that I'm getting into a deep philosophical discussion or anything here.

Hmmmph, I've checked it out, and Endangered, the only RP remaining that I'm in, has 220 pages of "This post can't be recovered" or whatever it is. Some of the pages are lurking at the beginning of it, but the last page we wrote isn't there. So it's gonna be kinda tough to RP since that isn't there.

God accidentally fed them French fires.

That's how they died. :p

French fires? They burned to death? :p

Perhaps they simply soiled their trousers out of fear. I mean, if you were sharing a room with a 3000-watt, 24-inch long-throw reflex subwoofer flapping back and forth at 20 cycles per second, you'd probably soil yourself too.

Yes, they most certainly DID burn to death. And I think it didn't help that their leader was Admiral Ackbar.

"It's a trap", indeed.

Well, it didn't help that

1. Dinosaurs couldn't spell. Or read for that matter.
2. That the French were really disgruntled with God at that moment.

Not that God minded what the French did - he was going to hire the Russians to nuke them. The French saved him MONEY, people!

Trying to meld the theory of evolution into BiblE Stories.

Hasn't this guy ever heard of Carbon Dating that proves Dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago? Or that stuff about stoneage humans?

Does he do nothing but sit and draw movies?

If you read, you'd have seen the person mentions that the book does have sections dedicated to Carbon Dating and such forth, however he only scanned the short little dinosaurs bit.

It had a big dinosaur skull on the cover, and was drawn and written quite competently. The graphic novel featured the author a balding, white-haired, mustachioed guy in a turtleneck, if the pictures were to be believed showing all the evidence of dinosaurs, with scanned-in photos next to huge blurbs like "CARBON DATING IS A HIGHLY FLAWED AND IMPERFECT SCIENCE!"

Laughs.

Carbon dating only works for determining the age of biological based material up to the age of about 60,000 years. Carbon dating is pretty good at determining the age of biological things, but using it in the context of dinosaurs at many millions of years makes me laugh.

Carbon-14 has a half life of about 5,700 years (as in for half the about of the radioactive substance to decay).

So it would not be possible to Carbon date a dinosaur fossil to 65 million years.

So I don't know anything about the technical details of Carbon Dating. So sue me.

But 60,000 years is a long time... I think carbon dating can pretty much prove that dinosaurs died out before large ship building came into use.
