Hey guys. Back on my B-Day, when I went to have a meeting with the Navy recruiters, they told me that in order to be qualified, I had to be under at least 230 lbs. by the time I graduate this year. For a guy my stature (I'm 6'6), I had to lose about 40 lbs. I was nearly 270 then, and I've been exercising rigorously to drop all of that weight.

Well, my parents bought a new scale last night. We haven't had a scale since I started working out because the old one broke a long time ago. I'm happy to announce that I'm at...

217 pounds!!!!!

That's over 50 lbs. in like 4 months! I'm very happy, not to mention that I feel more energetic now and have more self-esteem!

The only drawback is that I lost most of my muscle, since I was determined to lose weight and HAVEN'T been lifting weights and anything else similar. But I have about 3 months left until graduation, so I guess I'll start toning up.

^__^ Congratulations! That's a massive accomplishment, I wish you luck in your toning skills.

Though I must say, don't be surprised if you start gaining weight as you build up muscle. That kind of weight gain is a good thing. But again, wow. Good job 😀

That kind of weight loss can be really, really unhealthy.
Seriously, that's pretty rapid.
If you lost it with balanced diet and exercise then that's fine and great, but I just hope you didn't go on like a crash diet or anything.

Balanced diet. I also did calorie counting. You know, making sure that I don't eat past my limit. It works too. I'm mostly eating a diet of healthy cereal, turkey sandwiches, tuna, and throw in some fruits in there. Don't worry. I'd made sure not to develop some sort of eating disorder. I've been keeping my eye on that.

Congratulations on losing all that weight. Sage is right about gaining weight as you tone, but muscle weight is far above fat weight.

Congrats again.

Can I have some of that fat when you're done with it? Kitty's dangerously underweight and needs some mass, stat!
