Yesterday, I paid off my car completely. I only owed 200 bucks on it and got an anniversary bonus on my check; so, I decided to pay it off completely. Let me tell you, it feels great to know you actually own your car and don't have to pay on it anymore---FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!
I still am under half-ownership of my car with my dad. As I'm still in High School he gets to take care of all of the financial stuff such as repairs and payments. I get to drive it, get it gas, wash it once in a blue moon....and so on.
I'm not looking forward to full ownership of anything. =b

Good good, Ray. Didn't know you were gonna make a topic about it. Anywho, i've[my parents] still got about 6500 more to pay on mine[ours]. lol
I owe about... let's see... $256 a month... since August... $7,990 plus plates and interest... around $8,100. Hmm...
I've only put down 1284.50 on it so far. I have about $3000 acrued of interest, so I haven't even BEGUN touching my car payment, soto speak. Fun fun fun.
Should be about 3 years, 8 months by the time I'm done.
But I DO have good news. I just saved a 15% on my car insurance by switching to GEICO!!!

My car was technically in my Mom's name, but it got paid off a while before we decided to switch it to my name. Trying to take care of it so it lasts as long as possible, because the only debt I anticipate getting into in the next five to six years is a mortgage.
I owe my parents 900 (just under $1,600 at current rates) and I have no job. I envy people in your situation. 🙂
