Today was the Class of '07's graduation, and it was awesome. It took place in a huge venue (the Reunion Arena in Dallas) and thousands of people came. I was one of the senior officers, so we were sitting up on stage the entire time. I had a huge adrenaline rush as my fellow senior officers and I were about to pick up our colors (those books that hold the diplomas). I felt many emotions. First off, I was happy and excited because my journey through school has finally ended. However, I've been close to all of my friends and fellow classmates, and having to part is...well, sad. I hope to keep in touch with all of them (I talk to most of them on Myspace/Facebook).
When we tossed our caps in the our, my cap hit me in the head. -_- Luckily no one saw that, lol.
Also, I forgot to pick up my diploma!!! We were supposed to pick them up as we exited the building, but I was so drawn to the HUGE crowd waiting outside and wasted time talking to MANY people. However, I don't think it's a problem. IMO, it would be quite ridiculous if they threw them away. I was going to go back up to the School and see what I could do. I imagine they would either hold it for you or possibly send it to you through mail?
Nearly my whole family on my Dad's side came (they're samoan). When I came out, I got about 30-40 necklaces of candy and money, or about 20-30 lbs. that I was carrying on my neck. Ouch.
It was an amazing experience, to say the least. But now I've completed a phase in life that everyone should go through. US Navy, here I come!
Hip-Hip-Horray for you. Gongrats. The same exerience will happen to me in about two week. I can't wait, and yet, I also feel bumbed out about it. I will now be officially clasiffied as an adult throughout the world. No more childhood.
Good luck with that, navy, thing.
Congrats. You going to college?
Yeah. During my time on active duty, I'll be taking college classes during my off-time. I'm thinking about getting my credits transferred to either USC or Texas A&M.
Congrats dude! I've got about 13 days left until my big day. Nice to see we have a few '07 graduates here. *high fives all '07 grads*
Congrats! In 2 days I graduate also.
But technically, I'm still 17, so I'm still a minor.
Oh well.
Congrats on graduating. I just graduated from college, so I know the excitement. Congrats again!
Congrats: Now your future is only limited by your ability to synthamatize prodigious thunk.
Excellent job escaping High School. XP They're definitely not tossing out your diploma, so don't worry about that.
