I need to design a hierarchy of keywords that can cover as many subjects as possible. Keywords would let profiles, pics, games, comics, fan art, etc. link to each other. Clicking on a character would list every game appearance (comic appearance if it's a minor character who wouldn't be in a ton of comics) and let you click on that game to go to game info. The game info page would link to any reviews related to the game, or a page with any music or pics.
Here's a general idea:
- Titles/Genres
- Games[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- NES[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Mega Drive
- Sonic 1
- Sonic 2[/list:u:affb37c2c1][/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- SNES[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- GameCube[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Comics[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Archie
- Sonic
- Knuckles[/list:u:affb37c2c1][/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Fleetway[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Cartoons[/list:u:affb37c2c1][/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- SegaSonic
- Sonic
- Tails[/list:u:affb37c2c1][/list:u:affb37c2c1][/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- SegaSonic[/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Mega Man X[/list:u:affb37c2c1][/list:u:affb37c2c1]
- Characters
- Universes
As you can see, it's a bit confusing and has overlap (like each universe potentially being in each of the above 3). But if I don't make subcategories, a category like characters would contain thousands of entries. Suggestions?
You can suggest other ways of linking data. Wikipedia, for example, has a unique name for every data on their site, and you can link them just by doing [[codename]]. However, I would like it to be a bit more organized.
