....Ok, the car is sweet, but seriously. What are the Wachowskis going to do to it? Add Hugo Weaving into the plot somehow? And what about the Japanese names? Honestly, the story is about Japanese people (no, Speed Racer was not his original name, it was Go Mifune, damnit!)!
This is worse than the whole "Lindsay Lohan/Mischa Barton/Melissa Joan Hart (depending on the year) is gonna play SAILOR MOON!" rumors. Because this is actually happening.

What?! What is this! This is not happening but surely it is! I cannot believe something like this would get the greenlight but sure enough I must because seeing is believing and now I can plainly see it with my own two eyes so believing in this I will, Ha ha!

The Speed Racer film was already confirmed last year.
Yea I had heard of this. I figured it would be live action. I mean , "Why not?". The Wachowskis are good, very good. I'm sure their interpretaion of the story will be amazing and you all will not even remember dreading it. =P
lol... My sibblings rented the Speed Racer DVD from the library... My parents and I watched part of the first epi... We laughed at the rapidly moving mouths, and the stupid fight scenes... and then turned it off.
I need a trailer before I decide on this movie...

I've known about this for quite a while now. I love Speed Racer, and I'm waiting for trailers until I pass any judgement.

Hahhaha ok Wonder...I see what you're saying(not really lol). Yea the cartoon was hilarously horrible. I laughed myslef to sleep at the terrible fighting and mouth movements. Oh man I wonder if that still comes on late at night, like it used to. Hahaha
Several of the articles I've read have referred to Racer X as a "villain."
He was never a villain in the series. He and Speed were rivals during races, but they were never enemies.
